I don’t get why people are complaining about this one. It’s a museum, it’s not going to be bright colors. This is 10x better than the Jazz Club which was terrible.
Innat supposed to be a depiction of the Americas with the arc of the rocket trajectory and it origin roughly at the bottom of mexico? The white tiles would be alaska and northern canada
Great look/preview of the set. Not the most exciting building on the modular block, but still some nice interior detailing. I see a lot of people modding this into a BTTF clock tower for an epic display of the films final scenes.
For me its just fint. Its mostly its size it has going for it. I think its feels to empty both on the inside and outside. Like the walls are not utilized enough at all and the whole set is not as packed with fun nods and builds as I would have hoped for. Not going to get this, but I think it has huge potential for builders to come up with alternate builds that makes a bit more playful architecture while still being a classic museum.
It's cool and all but I just don't find the exhibits in the different rooms all that interesting except for the dinosaur. Don't have the space for it either.
It's the first modular that I've actually wanted to buy since the Assembly Square... but it looks like it needs to be taller. I'm tempted to save up and buy two, so that I can expand it upwards and put some other displays on the 'extra' floor/s. It just might take a while for me to be able to afford two of them!
@@DalleDC That's a really good idea - it looks like the column and window surrounds are in pretty standard colours, so I should be able to extend those from the rest of my collection... you might have saved me a few hundred pounds!
Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts. Personally I find it REALLY boring and quite uninspired. The interior as well does not give me a sense of museal space. I was expecting a glass dome with the brachiosaurus peaking through, and a balustrade around it. Or, like others suggested, an astronomical observatory on the roof. They had the chance to do something really spectacular, with the largest one purpose building. This is such a disappointing safe choice. But honestly I find most modulars quite boring. For about the same price you can get a Ninjago city set, which offers ten times the fun imo. City Gardens even has its own take on a historical museum, which is superior to this one, with the floating dinosaur skeleton.

The custodian is for sure Dr. Kilroy from the Johney Thunder line also.
We got Johnny Thunder in CMF series 19, the reference here is just Dr. Kilroy as the curator
I think the whip-build on the wall is a Ammonoidea.

It's pretty decent but doesn't 'Wow' me. Lots of smaller sets I'd rather get instead. However if I collected modulars I would buy this.

If you are displaying it on a shelf, maybe just use all the back pieces and build it like an open "dollhouse?"?

Thanks for the preview of this set Mike! I'm just not getting excited about this city modular. I'll be passing on this one.
