What an amazing video! I just hope that 40 years from now, were not still using the RS-25 to power our rockets! That thing already is over 60 years old!
@@znatrix It's being used on SLS, to the best of my knowledge, for political reasons. Since there's a lot of jobs in old shuttle suppliers, congress decided to keep a lot of legacy material, such as the RS-25, or the SRBs from the shuttle in use for political points... It's a shame that's the main reason, really, because the SSMEs were really good reusable engines, and they're gonna end at the bottom of the Atlantic just for politcal reasons...
This is an amazing video, love the editing and cinematography, bravo to you sir, very impressed! If I may, you could use KSRSS (kerbin size real solar system), which has the real solar system (and thus the real mars texture and moons) with the dimensions being the same as KSP stock, meaning that your mission could work out of the box with the real mars! Must be an interesting experience for the Kerbals at 11:02, while experiencing the equivalent of 0.4 or possibly 1g rotation in the habitation module, they start to experience an additional acceleration at right angles to that. I guess you mean the 4min burn accelerates TO 1km/s since that's a velocity not an acceleration. It corresponds to 1000m/s / 4x60s = ~ 4 m/s acceleration which is about mars gravity. So maybe a good approach would be to start the rotation of the habitation modules after completing the acceleration. the crew could then adjust briefly to zero G following the burn and then begin a spin-up to final artificial gravity of 0.4g where the direction down would have changed by 90 degrees.
Hello , I already asked this a few months ago but I can't find where I commented. How do you rotate the wheels 90⁰??? I have both dlcs and I have the whole rover built properly I think (I have the wheels and the yellow mount above them

How was it possible for the rover's wheels to rotate so much?( by that i mean the position the wheels were when the rover detached from the base) i remember having the rover mod and couldnt rotate them so much , i also had both dlcs

In the rover mod there are servos that you place just above the wheels' attatchment point. They are basically like the DLC's servo's.
