- In today's video I'm showing you how to embed objects in resin. Hopefully you'll find these resin tips and tricks helpful for your own resin craft ideas. Embedding objects in resin is pretty straightforward, but my top resin tips and tricks would be to avoid moisture and to remember that lighter objects will float in the resin. Do you embed any strange objects in your resin craft ideas? Would you like to know any other resin tips and tricks? Let me know in the comments. But hopefully you'll now know the resin basics on how to embed objects in resin.

I'm loving going through Ur old vids ,. The bloopers at the end, now u leave the fails in current vids 😂
Haha I do indeed!
@anthonycrammen is there a video/videos showing you make the resin heads from your art exhibits?
I don't think there are sorry! This was the closest video I think!
will there be a seam if you let the first layer harden, insert object for proper placement, then add the top layer? Like a cold shut in poured metal.
Love the video could you tell me how you made the mold for the head please
Hi there. Love the video!
I would like to encapsulate an old pair of trainers i own.
Do you have any recommendations on how to do this or what to avoid?
Also, what and where is the best resin to buy please as I've never done it before!
Thank you ☺️
Many
I'm new at this...soooo...I get my mix every where.. how do you clean up the area and your hands?
I'd like to know how did you make those little red figures sticking out of clear resin (2011)
Oh gosh! That was a long time ago! You've gone on a hunt haha! I made those with air drying clay then painted them with a gloss paint. Very easy to make 🙂
I'd love to know how u made the resin mould and polishing bit, if it's not a secret?
No not at all, I used liquid latex to make my mould, did a video a while back on how to make one: ua-cam.com/video/CnwT9hF1FYE/v-deo.html
Just obviously used a different object, and then to polish it I just used regular furniture polish and a chisel to take some of the rough bits off! 🙂
Aaah 'Pinhead' - I reckon you're probably too young to have seen that film when it first came out! 🙂🙂
I don't think I've ever seen it lol!
'Hellraiser' there were 5 or 6 of them.
@@amethyst1826 Oh I know of them, never seen them though!
@@AnthonyCrammen Quite gruesome at the time. Lol
That's a pretty thick pour , my resin tops out at 1/4" layers
I used polyester which lets you get away with a thicker pour than other resins like epoxy.
What type of resin to use for embedded object
What does pre mixed mean?
How would you encapsulate pet hair, so that it appears throughout a paperweight? Rather than going to the top or bottom?
Hair would float so you might want to do it in a several smaller layers.
@@AnthonyCrammen Thanks for your reply! When you do layers, can you tell that they're there?
@@AnthonyCrammen Also, when doing layers, do you need to leave it to completely cure between each? Thank you again!
You can see the layers if you look hard enough but it's not too obvious, and yeah make sure each layer is cured before you add another 1.
That’s what I call a pinhead
