I struggled a lot parrying with calcharo and the first thing that came to mind is just swapping with other character on parry lol. I think the game also tells you to do so in the main quest where you fight dreamless with jiyan. You get quick time events to swap between characters.
This game has OPTION SELECT!!! It's FGC term. Basically do 2 actions at once and let the game decide what happens. In this case (in Wuwa) you do attack AND dodge at the same time. The game either lets you parry or dodge, whichever action has more priority
This is one of the reasons I like Jianxin as a support. Especially since I've been running Encore + Chixia... Jianxin has a really good swap parry. On attacks that you can't just plunge or ult parry with encore anyways
this is a very handy technique if you have animation locked scenario due to being greedy or something or if you play a range dps like chixia highly recommend this tech for quick swap teams but not as much for hyper carry teams due to ruining certain buffs when doing parry swap. (not that a jiyan needs this during his ult when he has like billions of hit frames to auto-parry) but with most quick swap teams.. this tech is really useful for something like havoc rover/encore duo for example.
On my Guns Only account I'll randomly get a parry out of nowhere on Chixea and I don't understand how or why. I only use Chixea, Mortefi, and Aalto on this account. And by random I don't mean often maybe every 3-4 days. Haven't seen it in a while since I changed to swap dodge method
Actually, I think all ranged characters can still do the parry with their intro skill. Since intro skill comes with the timestop and your character will teleport closer to the enemy, it doesn't matter what kind of attack your character do. If I remember correctly, I managed to do the parry with Baizhi's intro skill. Idk yet about other ranged characters, but I think it will be similiar
Gunners cannot parry, rectifiers can. It's not an issue of range or not. Sometimes you can trigger it from intro and outro skills of others but gunners cannot parry.
I always have to remind myself that when people talk about Mephis they mean the Tempest Mephis and not the Thundering Mephis. Why are they both Mephis anyways?
Sounds annoying to do on mobile... I'll just hope tower doesn't get so difficult that this becomes necessary. I doubt kuro will make overworld crazy difficult too
