Same issue on our 2017 model. The foot brake activates a metal pin into the plastic housing of each wheel (remove wheels and you can see on the inside). Over time the plastic housing has worn away, so new wheels needed at $150. The brakes also failed quite soon after purchase due to a 'sticky pin' which lubricant spray fixed.
I have same issue and i dismantled wheel hub and it looks like the issue is with a little brass coloured torsion spring that holds brake pins in place, in the process of trying to find the part, not easy.
Were you able to find the part as this just happened with ours and in search of one now. the best I could do for now was hand make one myseld and it seems to have resolved the issue temporarily, but looking for something OEM.
@@circusjax Hi Charles, I could not find part, not many parts like this easily found for uppababy. There are quite a few that look identical on ebay for cheap. I may just need to alter slightly so it fits in location hole and around contour of that white catch that locks pins in place. Only other option would be to contact Uppababy and see is part available which I doubt.
@@gainmaster1 there's a spring under the hub cover of the white latch for catching the main lock and hub once you push down and it turns. It's a fairly small spring that it looks is designed to break over time with the type of metal used to create the spring. I ended up using another spring making some adjustments to it... mirrored the original and it's working perfectly now. I'll try to contact UPPAbaby to see if they sell the spring alone.
I got warranty once when it was happened in 7 months after purchased, and after 1 year we have same situation again. Very annoyed though, we are trying to get warranty because its 25 months which is nearly 2 years.... It breaks very easily...
@@brb7810 Everything with this stroller screams "Planned Obsolescence". The whole frame is riveted. If anything breaks you have to replace the whole frame. Extremely annoying and dishonest. We have two frames now and both are broken. Will never recommend their products.

There is a spring in the assembly that breaks causing this. Simple fix with the right spring
@@Haloluver1011 did you call Uppababy to get a replacement spring?
