Steamed pork hash typically refers to a dim sum-style dumpling made with a savory mixture of ground pork, sometimes combined with shrimp, cucumber, or other ingredients, and steamed to perfection. It’s often a variation of the Chinese dish siu mai, which is popular in Hawaiian and Cantonese cuisine.

Mom also used spicy turnip bottoms. Sometimes they were too salty so she would soak and slice them. They used to sell it loose in Chinatown but now it comes in cans or jars.

@@stephaniehirano929 I am researching it. There are several ways. The best way is to hang it in the sun but I'm looking at other ways.
Can I make it with ground turkey or ground chicken
Definitely.
Please Antee, FASS KINE. So I making da plain Kimchee, so I know about how gotta soak da cabbage in salt water overnight, but I like put dicon too. Do I cut it up and soak it with the cabbage overnight too? Also the next day wen gotta rinse gotta rinse um real good or oni FASS KINE, squeeze out da water then put in da mixture. Please let me know I going mek um today . In about an hour fo now 😅😁 PLEASE
Sometimes I add shredded daikon and carrots but maybe salt it for an hour and give a quick rinse. I also like to put a grated apple for some sweetness but don't salt. The next day, pour cabbage into a colander, give a quick rinse and just put it in a large bowl, add daikon. Don't need to squeeze. After mixing everything, no need to add water. When you put it in a jar, press down and lots of liquid will come out.
Sometimes I don't even salt the extra veggies, just add it in. There's enough salt from cabbage.
Hooooo Big MAHALO Antee applied ur Direction. Now I juss going leave Um overnight in da Bottle and den I go put Um in da fridge, my Wife had cut da daicone in Small kind Chunks so I figga gotta wait at lease 5 days to get some flava 🤙😁😁😁
Antee, Man I Stay Bummed cause I must of rinse my cabbage too much cause no mo salt flavor? Man wat can do to help? Should I sprinkle some Hawaiian Salt into the bottle Lilibit and shake Um up ? Would DAT help? I did ery ting else correctly 😢😅
Yes, you can. It just takes a quick rinse.
Just an fyi. Her "pork hash" we call ground pork.
Is that duck egg preserved or fresh love duck eggs )
I buy salted duck egg yolks in vacuum sealed bags, 12 for $8. But now it's precooked. You can make your own with chicken eggs. It takes at least a month to soak in salted room temperature for the eggs yolks only to solidify. I have some in my garage that I made 3 months ago. Mom used to keep a gallon of duck eggs under the sink for a long time. They used to sell salted duck eggs in 6 per carton but I don't see them now. You cannot use fresh duck eggs because the yolk will be soft, they must be salted.
