You guys are nailing point after point. Ownership's nonsense is why I only watched a couple games this season and I'm glad I didn't waste time or money paying to watch. They have to show they're making winning decisions before I'll really watch again.
I'm with you 100%. Since May 1st, I've watched 2 Twin's games. That's 2 more Twin's games that i will watch next year. I'll watch baseball, but not this team.
Ownership's goal is not to win a World Series. It's to maintain a profit margin for the Pohlads. I'm thinking of asking Twins if I can cancel my season tickets for 2025. Certainly, if they don't improve in 2025, no way I'm spending my hard earned money to be a season ticket holder. From the TV deal, to the overpriced concessions, to this garbage, dumpster fire 2024 season end, I just don't want to invest my money and time into this team, the way I have in '23 and '24.
As a child, I loved the Twins and they were my number one team I followed. Joe Pohlad has done such a horrendous job running this team that I could not care less about this franchise these days. Obviously this isn’t gonna happen, but it’s to the point where I probably wouldn’t shed a tear if they moved out of Minnesota. That’s how disgusted I am with this ownership. I really only hate-follow this team from a distance through these Skor North videos.
I'm not going to a single game next year in protest. If they meaningfully invest in the team to make this a contending team for the World Series, I'll reattend games.
I'll be honest buddy, that won't do anything. You can do what you want but life is short and twins games are fun. Seems dumb to waste time doing some stupid boycot
Have been a twins fan sine my earliest memories, memories of watching with my late father, watching with my mom and siblings. the treat that was being taken to a game. i am pushing 40 and ever since i got myself a career that afforded me to do so i have travelled back to MN multiple times per season to take in as many games as i could, which was several thousand dollars worth. I put up with a lot of nonsense from the pohlad family over the years and came back time after time again. The lights hadn't even cooled on the ALDS and the pohlads turned and gave the fans and players a giant middle finger. They took all the good will from a team that finally broke a LEAGUE WIDE HISTORICAL PLAYOFF DROUGHT and pissed it away in record time. it was at that point i decided the pohlads would not see a dime from me this season. now they lost all revenue from my pockets, and the local economy from food, drink and accommodations is gone, but they couldn't care less. Everything they have sad and done since that moment makes me think they cannot possibly get any stupider and then they manage to retake the gold each time. anyone who was not a clueless homer or a Pohlad apologist entered this season demoralized. the players were demoralized and finally simply gave up. at first the players tried to MAJOR LEAGUE these turds, but when ti was apparent the pohlads had no interest n providing any help they gave up. Rocco was a bargain bin hire and his management has shown thus. everyone knew players like buxton would mss significant time and they had zero depth or contingency plan. they traded away a corner stone player, let their pitchers walk. They decided shuffling a batch of unproven prospects out there was their recipe to success. When the season began to tail spin they blamed the fans for not coming to the stadium, never mind the fact the pohlad family has made it clear they have zero interest in building an mlb quality product, never mind the fact that their greed led to very few people being able to legally access the games on television, never mind the fact that at the dead line when the team was showing their cracks they refused to lift a finger. never mind that the TAX PAYERS BUILT THEIR PLAYGROUND! I hope people continue to cancel their season tickets and skewer this family on every outlet of social media. Empty to near empty stands next season would be a blessing. they hide behind a pathetic press conference during a tie slot they full well know will have the fewest eyes and ears, they are so thin skinned they ban a guy from the stadium for having the audacity to criticize them. it s here that i have decided to walk away from this franchise so long as the pohlad name is attached to them. I walked away from the nhl after Bettman's last lockout, and while it hurt at first my priorities have shifted, the lackof TV viewing options make it easier and easier to the point where they are an after thought, and that is the trash bin the twins are going in to. The pohlads want to treat this franchise as a business then i am a consumer who is not longer interest or satisfied with the product they put forth. I got a letter from the ticketing office earlier in the year inquiring about my lack of ticket purchase compared to previous seasons, i simply told them to forward my reasoning simply being ownership. screw any calls for fan loyalty and chirps of fair weather bandwagonng, no one is a bandwagon fan of a franchise that has won one best of 5 series in 20 years. So congratulations POHLAD FAMLY, your greed and tone deaf apathy along with your nepotism has finally alienated multiple generations of fans who will in turn not promote your franchise to future generations. you greedy television plan has kept casual fans and again present and future fans from even gaining exposure to you. i know if the stands go empty long enough you will all be collectively too thick skulled to understand or possess the capability to accept culpability. instead you will try to hijack the emotions of the remanent fans and blackmail moving the team unless ... it worked once when we fought contraction tooth and nail and finally built you a new shiny stadium you just piss on. this time, i say let you walk, if this is your idea of of the quality you accept due to a combination of your greed and stupidity then i am not missing out on a damn thing.
This is what this Twins Show needs to be, along with all other local media that covers the team, until the team gets new ownership. It’s too late to do a PR move because no fan with half a brain will/should believe a thing they say anymore. Great show guys.
don't forget the Pohlads offered to dissolve the Twins franchise for a payoff from MLB back in 2001 with no input or feedback from the fanbase this demonstrates the Pohlad's commitment to profit over loyalty to the community they "serve"
That was the point where I firmly flipped although it started in the mid-1990s when it appeared the Twins had no interest in fielding a competitive team.
Pohlads are 95 % of the problem . Would push blame other places but they are the source tickets sales are low because of your 35 mill cut after being a contender . Making that deal with balley sports was Idiocracy to a business owner . You made it so your fans can't even watch the game. Sell the team to somebody that wants to win or atleast knows what's going on. Complete greed from the pohlads
17:30 this part of the pohlad quote reminds me of The Christmas Carol, when Ebenezer Scrooge mentions to Bob Marley that he was a good man of business - "Business!" Cried the Ghost, wringing its hands again. "MANKIND was my business. The common w flare was my business; charity, Mercy, forbearance, and benevolence, were all my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!'
Carl Pohlad was fortunate to inherit a lot of talent when he bought the Twins from Calvin Griffith in 1984. Within seven years the Twins won two World Series. Carl Pohlad saw how his championship team was built: with good player development, good trades, and excellent manager Tom Kelly. The most important players on the Twins 1987 and 1991 World Series were developed during the Calvin Griffith era or obtained via trade using Griffith era players, including Hrbek, Gagne, Gaetti, Puckett, Bush, Brunansky, Laudner, Viola, Blyleven, Tapani, and Aguilera. I doubt that Jim and Joe Pohlad ever learned the details regarding how the Twins World Series teams were built. Joe Pohlad doesn’t know how to evaluate Twins exec Derek Falvey and Manager Rocco. Joe just blindly trusts Falvey and Rocco so no changes will be made. I doubt that Joe tries to find out the details explaining exactly how Falvey and Rocco do their jobs. The Twins team would be better if the Pohlads would sell the team (for approximately $1.4 Billion) and the new owner would decide what to do with Falvey, Rocco, and others in the FO.
I've been a diehard fan of the Minnesota Twins since they came to Minnesota as the old Washington Senators in 1961. I suffered through the early years when Cal Griffith, the most tight fisted owner in baseball, owned the team. I knew that it would be more of the same when the team was sold to Carl Pohlad, a banker. True to form, banker Pohlad would prove to focus only on profit while he threatened contraction to get his new publicly funded stadium. Since then, he has enriched himself and his family by hundreds of millions of dollars while his franchise has soared in value. Sad to say, after 63 years of loyalty, I have reached the breaking point and I'm ready to throw in the towel until and unless a new ownership group takes over this franchise. The straw that broke the camel's back occurred about a day after another disappointing season ended. Instead of announcing that ownership would take some time to consult and think about what went wrong and how to fix it, Pohlad immediately announced that Falvey and Baldelli will be back next year. This condescension, along with a complete and total lack of introspection, enrages me.
I've watched and listened to this episode so many times since it dropped and I couldn't agree more with this and it's what most of this fanbase is also saying
Not overreacting. I'm a fan watching from MLB app in Florida. First thing is it is SO annoying paying for the app only to have all Twins Vs FL teams games blacked out, but that's another topic. 2. I watch with my Cardinals fan husband. It's EMBARRASSING how few fans are at Target Field. I feel awful for the players. I think the pay cut last year probably demoralized them on so many levels, and then with the Comcast debacle, and then with Rocco calling them unprofessional or whatever he said... you've got guys like Buck and Correa out forever. The ownership treating the players like commodities... Rocco switching the batting order and the guys positions every day like he's managing little league.. it's a shit show. I don't blame the players. I blame ownership, Falvey, and Baldeli. These are talented players and they deserved better.
Basically, this team ownership has regressed into the original Washington Senators. Calvin Griffith was as cheap as you could get maybe because he didn’t have any money due to a low fan base in Washington. But, he knew baseball. According to this Podcast, Joe Pohlad doesn’t even know baseball. I think most fans watch these Twins batters and see a bunch of free swingers. Young starting pitchers who come to the “bigs” and only have two or three pitches. Something is fundamentally wrong with the development of successful players in the minors before they even reach the majors. The Pohlads don’t have a clue, neither does Falvey. Great podcast. Fan since 1961, first game vs Yankees, Twins won 6-0.
"Joe Pohlad doesn’t even know baseball" God damn. Can you imagine if any beat writer that gets access to him asks him some really inside baseball questions and see what his answer his just to embarrass the clown? Would pay good money for that.
Baldelli should go, even with handicaps from ownership. For the four recent years we have no stolen bases, no sac bunts, mediocre average with runners in scoring position, not to mention he turned five different wins into losses with terrible bullpen management.
Remember the Lakers left Minnesota and we got the Timberwolves, the north stars left Minnesota and we got the Wild. Honestly, if The Twins leave, Minnesota will get an expansion team.
I live 5 hours away, so I can't go to games, maybe 1 per year. I feel pissed I've moved TV providers 4 times to get the twins, and this is how the owners treat us. I'm glad I paid for at bat to watch other games, so I didn't lose all interest in Baseball
First thing they should have started with was Jim Pohlad coming in and saying Joe Pohlad is not going to have his hands on the Twins any longer. He's the type of corporate exec who probably gives extra bonuses to his higher up buddies, patting themselves on the back while cutting the pay of the ushers. Next, at the very least the whole coaching staff is gone. The front office, if retained, will no longer interfere with in-game decisions. Then announcing there will be an organizational shift to pay attention to things like defense, base-running, and general offensive approach. Playing smart baseball doesn't cost any more in payroll. While they have won a fair number of games and he seems like a good guy, I've never seen such sloppy play, epic collapses, and boneheaded decisions that I've seen under the Rocco years.
ownership has shown us all they don't care about the product on the field just the $$$ COMING INTO THEIR POCKETS . A rod and his ownership group should buy the twins too! save our local sports teams
the polahds are jokes. Go radio was profitable and could have been a huge contender in this media space. Thank you Judd for talking about his past. So many good media businesses that were ruined because of him and now the twins are the next organization.
Pohlad rewarded last year's playoff success with a team paycut. And telling us that the last eight years is your gold standard confirms what we've been seeing -- you aren't interested in building a championship team. Pohlad talks a lot about "product." That's the mentality. I grew up watching baseball with my father, it's a downer to see how little ownership understands about what it means to be a fan and to be part of a community.
Can we call in the tab on the stadium? Did we build that with a promise of competitive payroll? I have been with this team since I was 8 in 1987. I have love for the Twins. Genuine love for the memories. 45 now. I think it time that the Twins and I have a nice breakup. It'll be awkward, I mean, I'm sure I'll check the score, catch this show still, because baseball is awesome but... I can't support a baseball business franchise anymore. No more twins gear, no more tickets, no more bucks from me. I want my tax dollars back too. Scumbag is the word I can come up with for the current ownership leaders.
Not overreacting... I was sitting with my bro's and dad game 7, '87 lower deck third baseline and saw that team take home the first championship... after '91 it's been one thing or the other whilst the white sox and royals found a way and the Indians/Guardians persist as "rivals" in this very takable division. The Pohlads have taken advantage of owning a team in the AL Central and used it to drop anchor in a swamp of mediocracy when better people would have salivated to have Twin Cities ad revenue and pushover competition. Cheap, lazy bastards... the fans aren't fools, and we're not apologizing for actually wanting to go to the dance with the cute girl any more!!
Teams like the Rays typically have winning products on the field in the last 10 years and they consistently have a hard time filling seats at their ball games
If anything, you guys are under reacting. The Pohlads are disgusting owners that have ruined my fan experience. I live 4 hours away and can’t get to many games and then I also can’t watch games because of blackout rules and shit streaming/cable deals. Add in that owners refuse to actually build on a good young core and I almost refuse to support the team financially until they sell to an owner that is willing to at least meet fans half way as far as spending
If you say "screw the Pohlads" just because they cut payroll for one year, I think that's unreasonable. If you say "screw the Pohlads" because they cut payroll, made a greedy TV deal that was as anti-fan as possible, make tone-deaf remarks about his business being the most important thing, and refusing to hold either the POBO Dave St. Peter, GM Derek Falvey, or manager Rocco Baldelli accountable for any failures... yeah, I think that's pretty reasonable. I place the least amount of blame on Falvey of the group because his 8 year track record does include building a consistent top 5 farm system in MLB, getting Carlos Correa, signing Byron Buxton long term(I know these guys are injured sometimes, but their contracts are discounted enough to still be worth it), getting Pablo Lopez and brining in Sonny Gray when he had the payroll. He's been a mixed bag with trading overall and he does deserve some scrutiny, but you do have to wonder if this is all worth it if he's still saying that Baldelli is his guy. Because you can build a team with all the talent in the world, if your boy's club includes a loser for a manager, you're just going to keep losing.
I wonder if Nick Paparesta and Tommy Watkins are feeling insecure because they might be the scapegoat. Poppen fresh isn’t going anywhere despite the awful team hitting because he’s one of the analytic ‘geniuses.’
Simple! If they’re tone deaf then don’t buy tickets for awhile so they wake the hell up. The worst thing that can happen to a sports franchise is you don’t give a shit and find other things to do during the summer.
Minneapolis…Saint Paul…Minnesota…upper Midwest. The Pohlads think you’re rubes with no other entertainment options. Show them who you are next year. I want tumbleweeds at Target Field next year.
What players will be gone next year due to contract expiration? Slots have to be filled. Pohlad and Falvey need to fill those slots. Can’t all be from St. Paul.
I think that’s the most embarrassing thing where the owners won’t do a press release to the fans and are hiding behind other minny sport teams lmaooo won’t even take responsibility is so sad
The Pohlad family has never cared about a single thing in the world but money. It’s showed for decades. You can see little hints every where you go around Target Field but you can see it mostly around any free agency or deadlines
Listened to the whole thing guys, ya'll ain't overreacting. As for myself, like was said, I was kinda peace out after the salary reduction was announced right after the last season. I am fully peace out now. I don't like the owner. I don't like the GM. I don't like the manager. I don't like the quitter players. I do not like anything about this team. I'll spend my time, attention and money on something else next year..Twins loss is Storm, Motiv and Drkula's gain lol
Don’t be gaslighted by the ‘great’ farm system. The AAA, AA, High A and A teams didn’t make the playoffs. Brooks Lee, David Festa, Zebby Matthews, Simeon Woods Richardson are all removed from the prospect pool and the revised Twins farm rating is between 12~16th.
Also Falvey has traded off top draft picks the last few years like Petty, Noah Miller, Cade Povich, Hajjar, Steer or other top picks like Cavaco is now out of baseball, Sabato is a bust, Canterino and Prielipp have been constantly unable to pitch due to injuries, etc.
You’re not overreacting. I’ve followed the Twins passionately since the 1965 season and I’ve seen a lot of incompetence from Calvin Griffith basically letting an all-star team walk from the Twins in ’76-’78, to Terry Ryan’s 2nd run but this mismanagement by Falvey, exacerbated by Joe Pohlad’s ascension is the worst thing ever for the Twins in terms of heartbreak and pain, very close to Calvin’s 70s debacle. I’m a prototype for as passionate as a Twins fan can be and I just feel so disillusioned that I can’t fathom it. Mind boggling squared or cubed. The capper is this idiotic idea that 3 main actors are to blame and none of them is being removed, thereby paving the way for more lunacy and mind bogglingly stupid decisions from the owner, from Derek Falvey and from (in-game) Rocco Baldelli. Compare him to Terry Francona, Jim Leyland, Gene Mauch, even the overrated Gardy. Or Joe Torre or A.J. Hinch or Joe Maddon. The Twins whole philosophy is f* up. Stand around and wait for home runs, don’t steal and almost never bunt while teams like the Rays, Royals and Guardians avail themselves of the stolen base and run the Twins off the field late in games. Pre-ordained 7 inning starts even if the pitch count is low and the pitcher is pitching a 1 hitter. Trying to turn Austin Martin into a HR hitter and almost ruining him. Signing Bundy, Archer, Shoemaker, Happ, trading for Dyson, insisting Mahle is a better player to acquire than Castillo. This franchise is in worse shape than ever because I don’t see any Andy McPhail’s in the distance that will come and put together a strong WS caliber roster like he did.
Rub the Twins to show them the right way to win fans over. This off season do not give them coverage on what they do it will not make any difference to the fans as this team is going one way and that’s negative. Just give them little coverage and say what they should be doing to operate positively no reporting on the team. Maybe somebody in the front office will wake up and make something of a team full of players who are short of pitching only and have this team doing what it can for a five year winning streak. Twins get some pitching and we will get to fans at the game, energy to the seasons end with competition, off season talk on the team, dollars spent on the team by fans, positive talk on the team, etc.
thank you for ranting about everything i'm feeling about twins ownership. if you don't enjoy owning a sports team then sell it to someone who actually cares.
Not even crime in Mpls is the biggest tell with the Twins. Crime was really high in 2022 and fans still came out and have through 2023 and even a portion of the 2024 season. Fans are just too gullible.
That was horrible how the twins get eliminated from playoffs they had a chance to make it to the playoffs losing 40 games that’s bad and last 2 months ago I looked at the record they was behind cleveland guardians 2nd in the division wtf
Read Gleeman's article this morning. First, great on him for pushing for answers. Second... Jesus Christ -- Pohlad's I don't think could integrate into normal society because they have Z E R O self awareness of the situation. As a Sonics fan alum -- Pohlad's remind me of Howard Schultz then owner of the Sonics -- he self admitted after the theft/stern revenge move to OKC that he was an owner in the team was a collectible item as a billionaire. They don't want to be a SPORTS owner, just an owner. Didnt' understand the gravitas of being the guide for a social institution of a city/region and didn't have the drive of wanting to see them win and what it would take. Disgusts me. Great that you call out the Pohlads, but please call out Falvey and Balldummy for their idiocy as well. They are just as bad at their jobs as the Pohlads are as owners. Falvey recognizes and drafts talent, but he cannot do anything else. Having Falvey as a GM would be like hiring me to buy you a car. I would identify the greatest car in the world and buy it for you, but then drive it into a wall and crap in the back seat and then trade the engine for 2 cucumbers. How would you value my ability to choose a car then? That’s Falvey. And if you don’t recognize how dumb Ballydummy is on the few choices he can make without puppet masters Falvey/Levine, I can’t help you. I'm with you 100%. Since May 1st, I've watched 2 Twin's games. That's 2 more Twin's games that i will watch next year. I'll watch baseball, but not this team.
Sell. It’s too rotted
Already canceled my season tickets.
A season ticket exodus would send a big message to ownership
The pohlad's refuse to invest in the team, the Pohlad's are unable to tell the truth.
The Pohlad's what?
Yes so then the fans need to wake up and STOP supporting this franchise until major changes are made. Pohlad's need to sell.
Phil dropping the heat. What a passionate take and saying things that almost 100% of the fans are thinking and saying.
It’s kind of surreal to think about how closely I followed them in the 2000s, they aren’t even on my radar anymore
Love the rant guys!! Especially judd. Keep up the great work.
Great show guys.
don't forget the Pohlads offered to dissolve the Twins franchise for a payoff from MLB back in 2001 with no input or feedback from the fanbase
this demonstrates the Pohlad's commitment to profit over loyalty to the community they "serve"
17:30 this part of the pohlad quote reminds me of The Christmas Carol, when Ebenezer Scrooge mentions to Bob Marley that he was a good man of business -
"Business!" Cried the Ghost, wringing its hands again. "MANKIND was my business. The common w flare was my business; charity, Mercy, forbearance, and benevolence, were all my business. The dealings of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!'
RAH TWINS WIN LFG! WINNING SEASON ACOMPLISHED!!!
Lets not forget . Tom Kelley. 87 and 91 . that was sweet.
KELLY
I’m a pretty positive fan. And no, you are not over reacting.
Al Davis once said," Just win Baby"" Twins might want to try that motto.
Comedy gold all around today!
Definition of insanity-Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!
So depressing me and my grandparents combined have been watching since the senators if theirs a way to keep the team in MN, sellll
Twins were 19th in team salary this year in MLB, so middle of the pack. The problems here go way deeper than not spending $. -Guardians fan
Baldelli should go, even with handicaps from ownership. For the four recent years we have no stolen bases, no sac bunts, mediocre average with runners in scoring position, not to mention he turned five different wins into losses with terrible bullpen management.
Amen, 100%.
Remember the Lakers left Minnesota and we got the Timberwolves, the north stars left Minnesota and we got the Wild. Honestly, if The Twins leave, Minnesota will get an expansion team.
pohlads are blackmail minnesota
@@markwagner-kb1pxthen we the fans chase the Twins out of Minnesota like we did to the north stars.
Remind me of the last time baseball expanded.
@@rogergreiling42492029 is the next team expansion, Minnesota is the 15th biggest market in the country not including regional reach.
2029 is the next planned expansion year
I live 5 hours away, so I can't go to games, maybe 1 per year. I feel pissed I've moved TV providers 4 times to get the twins, and this is how the owners treat us. I'm glad I paid for at bat to watch other games, so I didn't lose all interest in Baseball
Dear Phil - to answer your question: not overreacting
i totaally agree with your headline no not over reacting sale the twins
Gleeman and The Geek is a must listen to podcast.
It's crazy to me how inept this franchise has become.
We the fans need to break The Poor Lads. Let's all take 2025 off.
Remember the Twins slogan yrs ago, Get to Know Them! I don't think so
Can we call in the tab on the stadium?
Depressing.
But nice work guys. Spot on.
WE'RE GONNA WIN TWINS WE'RE GONNA SCORE(but not for the foreseeable future)
Royce's shot at ownership 😂If he hates the Twins, I'm all for it
Teams like the Rays typically have winning products on the field in the last 10 years and they consistently have a hard time filling seats at their ball games
They have bad stadium in bad location I believe. Not the problem for twins.
@@ChadK-iz4vc sure but to Joe Pohlads point, that shouldn’t matter as long as the team is a winning product apparently
I wonder if Joe Pohlad will be Patrick Reusse's "Turkey of the Year"?
Falvey Rocco get 1 more yr then boom!
Joe Pohlad is Iosef Tarasov from John Wick
Joe Pohlad is like his Grandfather minus the business acumen.
This past summer I thought about watching the Twins but then I had a good friend slam my head off a concrete pillar. It was way better!@
Yessss Phil
When do the new shirts come out..”Minnesota Twins - it’s just business” ?
If anything, you guys are under reacting. The Pohlads are disgusting owners that have ruined my fan experience. I live 4 hours away and can’t get to many games and then I also can’t watch games because of blackout rules and shit streaming/cable deals. Add in that owners refuse to actually build on a good young core and I almost refuse to support the team financially until they sell to an owner that is willing to at least meet fans half way as far as spending
Poor business decisions include wasting money on expensive infielders and outfielders, when top pitchers could have been bought with the same money.
My girlfriend said she’ll go to twins games next year despite record if they bring back the TURKEY SANDWICHES!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m completly in favor of keeping falvey. I think this is more ownership and just general fatigue of Rocco. Also rhe Royce conversation is alarming.
Your blind eye to all of Falvey’s horrible trades would be laughable if not so sad.
Its bad, but it is all we got!!!!
They check out after. The big break.
we will never win without an owner that spends money on the best players in baseball, must be nice to be a LA fan with 2x the payroll of the twins
the expectations were way to high :(
I wonder if Nick Paparesta and Tommy Watkins are feeling insecure because they might be the scapegoat.
Paul.
Dex gotta shave that ridiculous mustache 😂😂😂
Not until the Vikings lose
Hope he never does
I think that’s the most embarrassing thing where the owners won’t do a press release to the fans and are hiding behind other minny sport teams lmaooo won’t even take responsibility is so sad
The Pohlad family has never cared about a single thing in the world but money. It’s showed for decades. You can see little hints every where you go around Target Field but you can see it mostly around any free agency or deadlines
Judd, Jim Pohland's conscience allowed him to willingly waste Mauer's career-never going all in to put a contending team around Joe in 15 seasons.
This team will never compete for a World Series title until the Pohlads sell to someone who cares
No more team gear or twins tickets being bought by me until the phases either sell the team or increase payroll and try to make a contending club
Stopped caring about the Twins when the Tori Hunter era ended. My life is better for it!
And the Padres needed to take out a load for payroll last September.
They even needed to trade Juan Soto to keep payroll manageable.
Absolutely pathetic response from ownership
I just have one question: Where's the accountability? I see none. If I didn't perform at my job I would expect to be terminated.
I'm not even mad at this point. I just don't care anymore.
thank you for ranting about everything i'm feeling about twins ownership. if you don't enjoy owning a sports team then sell it to someone who actually cares.
Three things that are keeping people away
1) ownership politics
2) history of cheapness..over decades
3) crime in MPLS.
No you're not over reacting. This has been like this for decades, just another pohlad in the driver's seat.
Not even crime in Mpls is the biggest tell with the Twins. Crime was really high in 2022 and fans still came out and have through 2023 and even a portion of the 2024 season. Fans are just too gullible.
@@lisafoote569 it's one of the three factors. It is for me and you're talking to a former northsider
Crime isn’t keeping people from going to games.
Can we get a show about top 10 sports team owners and what they did right?
Even Declan who has to cater to Balldummy to keep access calls him out with apologies for his idiocy at least twice a week. They all need to go!
