I remember when my late mother taught me to pray while I was still in kindergarten, she taught me a song that she had taught me once in my life, and I still remember it today and it is one of my favorite memories, out of many, because I was raised in a Christian family, Catholic, even though as the youngest child with a big difference between me and my brother and sister, I am the example of the prodigal son from the Bible. The song "a little church is being built, incense is being burned, in it the Lady kneels, groaning with all her heart, from there two go, Saints Peter and Paul, the Lady asks her why she kneels, groans with all her heart, you shed terrible tears, you break your white fingers, how could I not kneel, groan with all her heart, shed terrible tears, break my white fingers, I had a son, an only child, the Herods came and took him from me, they took off the golden crown, and they put a thorn, where the drop of blood fell, a rose bloomed, angels from heaven came in a bundle, gathered them and carried them before God the Father, God the Father himself said, whoever prayed this prayer saved three souls, his own, his father's and his mother's".

In Paul’s letter to Philemon Paul says “I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I became in my imprisonment.”(Onesimus was Philemon’s runaway slave, a convert who was helping Paul.
2Tim 2:2 Paul also calls Timothy his son.
Great testimony. Everyone will eventually know the Truth, thanks to youtube. I reverted when I watched Steve Ray on UA-cam in 2022. ❤ God bless your ministries. I watch these videos every single day while walking, cooking, cleaning and before bedtime. It inspires me so much.

I have so many Protestant correspondents who just loathe the Church. They cannot ever experience the fullness of faith, the depth of love and mercy, and the intimacy of the Eucharist without entering the Church. They proudly defy God by following their heretical minimalistic pseudo faith.
Pray for them, they’ve been brainwashed by generations of misinformation about the Church that have been told to them by people they love and trust. The good news is is that thousands are coming home to the Catholic Church. There’s so many great programs like Eddy’s that are reaching tons of people on the internet. It usually takes a close friend or family member that’s come home to peak their interest. This can cause them to investigate the teachings of the Church in an attempt to refute their claims. If they get deep into history and they have an open heart they’ll see the truth!!!

I had a conversation with an ex Catholic and became born again Christian. She mentioned same thing Catholics call the priests father when Jesus said call no one on earth your father I said we call the priests Father because he prepares our spiritual food and he regenerates spiritual children, he takes care of all our Spiritual needs. He is. Not our earthly father, he is a representative of God our Father
The typical cultural Catholic story in the beginning reminded me of something. I once read a joke in a Czech Catholic book:
How do you get rid of pigeons from the church building? Well you baptize them, give them Communion and confirm them and after that you can be sure they never show up in church again.
We are good at making fun of ourselves but we should do better at teaching our kids about the faith, I guess. Blessings from Slovakia!

I think David embodies what Christ means when he commands us to love our neighbor. I came into the faith as a convert, but I have heard from several long time Catholics about the poor Catechesis that went on a few decades ago and the damage it caused.

Although David flirted with Evangelicalism, and heard good preaching, he didn't learn faith in the gospel of Christ. He didn't experience the grace and mercy of God which speaks very poorly of these churches. He only heard criticism of Catholics, but nothing encouraging. Very sad.
So now he is enthusiastic about his church. What does that say? It tells me he still doesn't know Jesus and has never been born again. David knew " born again" as a popular catch phrase but didn't understand what it means. So now for him it's about a church and not a Savior. So sad how church people failed him😢
