    "Like so many men, I vowed to be a better person, husband and father time and time again. It wasn’t until I felt the presence of Jesus as I walked out of a jail cell that I realized how much I wanted to change and how I could only do that with His help. Since that time, I’ve taken a journey to grow closer to Christ. I invite other Catholic men to accompany me as we follow the path God has set before us."

    Some people really don't appreciate what they have until they lose it and that's a real shame. It's a good reminder to stop and think about what you have to be thankful for. Understand that God has given to us for a season and he can ask for it back at any time.

    Not the first time I have watched John's testimony. So I have just sat and watched it a second time for an hour and 21 minutes. Put aside for a moment that Eddie is an excellent presenter who knows when to speak and when to remain silent, John's testimony has power. The devil is cunning but God is Love. God is strong.

    Incredible speaker today! Had me hanging on every word! Wow.
    My life was messed up too but in a different way, no drugs, but no Jesus. Until a friend told me how he came to Christ and was saved. Well I wanted that too but didn't know how (being a Catholic) but started listening to a bible radio station and through a study of Romans, I learned how Jesus has paid for all my sins and how to trust Him. Being born again changes everything.
    John kept asking Jesus for help and that's good but it's not salvation. I never heard him tell about Jesus giving him a fresh start and taking all his sins. He just went to sacramental confession and received absolution, but that's not being born again. Sorry that no one ever explained salvation for him.

      @@BensWorkshop This passage in Jn 3 is often misunderstood but the Bible,not me, is able to interpret itself if we will let it. In scripture, "water" has a normal symbolic meaning. It represents the Holy Spirit as in Ps.1 ,or when Moses struck the Rock (Jesus) and water (Holy Spirit) flowed out. Or "former and latter rain". But especially so in John's gospel. Look at Ch.4, "The woman at the well" John 4:14
      [14]"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. " Or ch.7....John 7:38
      [38]He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (Water=Holy Spirit not baptism) Now return to Jn
      3 in v 8John 3:8
      [8]"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." Jesus here described the character of the HS in the work of regeneration. No one is able to see or control the wind, but you feel the effect. So the Holy Spirit. You cannot schedule Him in the bulletin. He is not subject to any one. But the authority for salvation is given to the individual believer. Only the Spirit knows the heart. It can't be turned into a sacrament that men apply. John 1:12-13
      [12]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
      [13]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
      One error always leads to another. If Baptism is the way God uses to deal with sin, then how could the OT saints be saved? Or I also need to ask, if you recognize that in the OT it was the blood of animals upon the altar that covered sins, then how could it be water that is the cure for sin now? Did God change his mind? Then I must also ask, if it is water that deals with sins, then for what reason did Jesus shed His blood? Do you see the problems that wrong doctrine causes?

      @jerome...
      "(being Catholic)"...well you really need to immerse yourself in the faith to really know it and to know what you are saying. YOU were SAVED at infant baptism - from original sin (for which no one can confess to a priest since we did not commit it.)
      At baptism you received the grace of God in the Holy Spirit but you still retain your free will. Your understanding of 'salvation' is a Protestant one (and check out the difference between Calvinist and Arminian Protestant salvation 😮). For Catholics, we were saved, we are being saved and we will be saved...IF we live in Christ the Way, the Truth and the Life...we were saved by grace in faith and through how we live our lives in good works...Matt25:31-46; James2:18-24
      I am 'being Catholic' and constantly discovering just how deep in TRUTH of CHRIST my Catholic faith is. Peace of Christ be with you 🙏✝️

      @@jeromepopiel388 For the avoidance of doubt I was referring to John 3:1-15.
      Specifically John 3:5:
      Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
      So what you are saying is Jesus meant to say (but didn't)
      “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of The Spirit and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
      That does not make sense.

    I remember watching this video before and I have to say this that people don’t know what evils can do to us humans,for what this man John Edward’s went through is just a tiny bit of what evils can do to us humans for there’s a lot lot more that evils can do to us humans not only in human situations but even in learning and finding understanding of the teachings and understanding of the true things of God in his One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church of Traditional Teachings and Worship.And it seems so obvious that finally John Edward’s had a most powerful revelation from Jesus Christ to see with the eyes of his spirit to know the difference between God and Lucifer in this immense battle that we humans are caught up in everyday.And I do pray that John takes full advantage of Jesus Christ in the seven sacraments of the One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church of Traditional Teachings and Worship yeah alleluia Deo Gratis Amen 🙏 🐑🕊️✨🔥

    I agree with you at my church as well. No one talks to you. I too came out of Protestantism and they were very friendly there. Why is the church like this? It causes me to question things. If these know, God.

    • @davidcole333
      @davidcole333 5 місяців тому +1

      My experience was similar, but this is what I found over time. When we come into church, there needs to be a sense of calm, quiet reverence and prayer. Before mass is not the time for greeting and talking. We should be on the kneeler, or in our own way quietly preparing ourselves to enter into the sacred mysteries that are about to unfold before us. Any talking or unnecessary chatter is a complete and out of place distraction before mass. After mass is the appropriate time to talk to others. But the thrust of the Catholic faith is to enter into the community of believers, so you need to find a ministry that you can join or be involved with. If there's not a group you are interested in, then perhaps that is your calling to begin that ministry within the parish. I want to mention also that not everyone at church wants to be mobbed by unnecessarily friendly people, that can be off-putting for many. That actually was a huge driver in my wife leaving Protestantism. In my experience, before I ever joined a men's club, or went on retreat, no one knew me...I was just a familiar, but anonymous face in the crowd. Once I entered into the community of believers outside of mass and began to know people, I'm now greeted after mass quite a bit and receive a lot of invitations to partake in other ministries. The main thing is don't turn that precious time before mass into a social hour, it's completely not the time or place.... look for a ministry or club you can be passionate about and enter in... then the doors will open.
