The ability for new and returning players to learn the raids by themselves and still make progression is the best thing this game could have done. Lsaved

But honestly i just think they should remove wipe mechanics from non-newest content like up to Brel-Kayangel normal. But thats just me

@@Carlos-qg2me If I understood Zeals correctly, they said they'll release new raids with a solo mode to learn and get some mats too.
Anyway legion raids as we know them are done since there are no more legion commanders, we'll have to see how they handle the new raids/dungeons moving foward.

This is such a strong W for Lost Ark. I’m definitely, and without doubt the most excited about solo raiding. I’m a person who learns slow, I don’t catch on that fast, so being able to take my time and genuinly learning the mechanics is literally ‘make-it-or-break-it’ for me. I’m going to keep playing LOA, solely because of this one simple change, as I do love the raiding, but they’re a nightmare to pug when people simply don’t have patience or time to learn you (pugging being mainly what I do). I also recently returned to the game, quit right around Clown release.
Thank you so much, Smilegate. Jesus christ this was a much needed change, and it will 100% keep a lot of players.
Pretty sure the "honing rework" is actually a system like Elixirs and transcendence that you progress throught Ladon.

Now the only thing I want is a class inspired by that Kazeros raid boss. Sneks and lotus flowers are just an amazing theme and ever since Age of Wushu my favorite theme for a class.
And hating people looking sad is a good thing, it means you have empathy for another living being.

Tbh the best change i've seen here beside of the all new cool stuff and shits, is the ability of new players to get familiar with end game mechs, also i would add a title for those that end the training that certificate they pass the test then mf gatekeepers will have something more beside of looking the roster lvl that bring less or nothing to the character experience more than spend thousands of hours doing nothing but rapport and shit, people will feel way more confident when applying a raid if they pass that training

I would have really loved a legion raid that adapte to the number of players. If only 2 friends were free to do the raid, just let us do it with only 3 people. Or 2.

is it just me or the honing rework is just a visual version of the pity system. they just took out the 1 taps?
It seems to just be qol, you put enough materials for the max amount of taps and then it taps it for you until it hits and if it hits before pity it gives you back the extra mats. Just to help with the redundancy to tapping through the awful ui 80 times per hone, it wont make honing easier or harder, just faster.
The other honing system with the bar you fill up (shown after echidna) is an entirely new honing unrelated to current honing

Another LoS card coming to merchants is cool and all, but you don't always see one every month, yet alone one of each card. It's RNG so it can be a good month or week, but they need to add more than just two cards overall. Kind of feels like a baby step. Still a step in the right direction, but doesn't get you very far. Just hope they keep making more and more steps.
With the raid guy getting in charge with the game. I guess the game now will go with the raid focus direction, considering they're now letting people getting mats from solo legion raid, You will not have to worry about gatekeeping and still able to get the mats on how you want to and then going back to the normal raid for the gold later after you've already known how the raid work and you're also overgeared due to having all the gear needed. Pretty W. I was looking forward for the horizontal and the solo content, they delivered, I'm happy.

Q3 2024, we still have a lot of catching up to do that they can trickle out.
@@Suckynewb I'd say the free stuff as well as new expresses will be in q2, maybe after the end of the current one in feb 07, because those are easy to push into our version, the raids on the other hand, we dont even have thaemine yet, so I wouldnt get excited for any of the raids they showed in the showcase yet
They promised they are gonna try and bring things as fast as possible to the west and even at the same time in some occasions and they have done that in the past 3 months.

Ok guys, as a new player coming into this game, is this game really saved by this Loa? Isnt the gatekeeping of raids will always be present no matter how many powerpass they throw at new players? Idk you tell me, all i can see is, it only benefits the existing and end game players. So the question is, how do new players really enjoy this game?
Make a Support, put smurf in ur name, watch a video of the raid and u will get into all raids and clear them

@@Joe-fb9ns I don't know. First I would at least put all LoS cards on merchants. Maybe make the back and frotal cone a tad bit wider and add a 3 sec buff to entropy set so if the boss moves after you have back attacked it will still keep it's damage for a short bit.

New raids that it takes months to get to grinding the same old raids to enjoy it for like 20 times and then again grindfest boredom
Uh yeah, more _variety_ of things to do at end game is a good thing that Stoopzz has always advocated for. Strike raids being essentially world events (to our current understanding) is a cool new type of content that makes the game's world feel more alive. Solo raid encounters allow for new/returning players to learn the fights without struggling through party finder, while still getting material rewards, it's unclear if this even adds to our homework by giving us relevant rewards. Also the main drain that makes raids feel like homework is honing up to the next raid, especially because it is usually tight even if you do all your raids every week. Echidna nm is 10 ilvl above thaemine nm, but the hm ilvls are the same (prospectively), meaning if you're already Thaemine hm ready you are also Echidna ready. That means you can essentially take a break until it comes out and not have to worry at all about making it into groups, which makes the weekly homework feel less draining. Not to mention Echidna is only 2 gates, replacing akkan which is 3, meaning the less gate thing is in effect. All of those are positives in line with what a lot of players want. Stop trying to find things to doom about, it was a good event, let yourself be happy with the direction of the game for a couple days at least.
@@ghostytoasty5510not to be negative because overall im super happy with the announced changes and these guys commenting above just look like no matter what change happens they will be unhappy, but i cant see strike raid or any world event being any different from media, slime island, or new chaos gate whatever its called that imo are the worst kinds of homework (needing to show up exactly on the day and time that the game tells you to, sail for 5 minutes or tp to an island with chaos gate, tp to the quick travel spot which is like 2-4 loading screens, idle there till it starts, enter, wait another 3 minutes till it actually starts, then do your 5 minutes of content for pennies of rewards)

This game has a big problem i experienced trying to get back into it.
1. Honing is way too punishing once you hit akkahn
2. This has been beat to death but needing 6 alts to make any meaningful progress and balancing progression around it is a bad idea. They should allow you to get 6x gold/rewards on 1 char.
3. Too many vertical systems/progression.
Wanna remove entropy set from game - making new head attacker class, brilant, gg wp.
Entropy set removal doesnt mean they are going to remove front and back modifiers or the gameplay itself, its just the set is gone. They never said they'd make every class a hit master class and removing master brawler / ambush master engravings. Stop relating these things with entropy set removal.

If they only remove Entropy it changes nothing expects nerfs and forces Entropy classes more or less re-roll their setups. Classes that currently are specialization main stat have to get crit on the accessories which in turn makes their damage worse which will end up the people just stop playing. And lets not forget you still have to chase the back attack for the ambush master damage or front attack with master brawler so that in the end makes those classes worse. Now let's say they are removing ambush master and master brawler along with the set, well fuck the people who use those engravings, be it in accessories or in stone because now they are gone.
Admittedly they could bring a new set and engravings to fill the space but as far as we know their only plans are currently to remove not add.

No T4 or hard reset right? And prob it will never happen. Ive quit at ARGOS due to the impressive amount of grind as F2P. Came back to try Jump Start servers and they were a total epic fail.. Veterans/Whales infected those servers and made them unplayable...I'm too used to WoW where you gear to max ilvl a char in 3-4 weeks and be able to enjoy its endgame content. And retail wow has alot of issues too, Imagine switching to a far worse fake mmo like this
This loaon was the make or break for me.. and what I saw it definitely was break.. thats not to say cool new content wasn't added.. just not accessible.. nothing to help players get to endgame content, the hyper express is great and all but akkan gear is literally way too punishing. I can’t keep up with any of my friends or guild any more after hitting pity 11 times on my akkan gear. My main sitting at 1602, account is bone dry for roster bound mats and my main has zero mats.. the new honing system is a suck all your mats you grinded for a month in one go just to build pity to 56%… thanks I guess. On top of that they are adding a side honing that isn’t tied to your ilvl that used honing materials also… like what fucking mats am I going to use for that?? I can’t even get to the end game content now cause I have no mats.. I’m sure people will mald over this, however this is a legitimate problem and I’ve been playing since launch in naeu. I came with a group of 40 from NW, only two of us still play and we both are probably walking away now after loaon as we both can’t stop hitting pity on akkan gear.. everyone that came with us all quit because they felt the honing was too harsh and required so much and now it is far too punishing.
Maybe one day we’ll comeback but truly it doesn’t seem like sg has any interest in the average player and is only looking at the top, which is crazy cause that’s how most games die.
idk where you got the new side honing part from but the new honing system itself makes it so there is less disparity between a 1 tap and pity. It is literally more beneficial for everyone.
I do understand your gripe with the harsh honing and current requirements for honing the gear paired with material gain. Yes that sucks, but still the new honing system is exactly for people like you to make the road faster. It will remain painful but at least requires less mats total to get to that point.
Any new system we see now that isn't the new honing system is so far away from us that it is not even a thinking point at this moment. They are getting new stuff very early now and we do not even have the Ivory Tower unlocked for us yet till next reset.

sorry stoopz for plugging another content creator here as i feel that is unfair to you but i just want us all to get the information clearly.
from what i see, it seems that our current honing system all that is changed is we will be able to have all our mats or however many you choose to just be consumed at once rather than clicking 250 times thru a bunch of screens to hone, this does not change how harsh the pity is for us and just makes it "faster" to steal your mats from you lol. if im wrong here please clarify for me or point me in the right direction so i can see for myself.
new honing system is a bar which randomly fills up any amount of artisan per tap instead of getting e.g. 1.4% each tap, you may get 5% then 60% then 35% for pass which is really a honing nurf, so this system will save people from getting the worse pity possible
see i thought that was for the other honing system separate from ilvl honing, is there a place you can point me to that clarifies this?
