While taking notes from this video, I still have no idea what's going on, but I think I figured out an equation to actually terraform Mars and make space travel possible.
I watched this video right before I started playing LOA here in the states. I didn’t understand how the hell anybody could do these mechanics. Now that we’ve passed valtan and vykas, these future raids look complicated as hell but doable. Lost ark does a nice job of training you on how to do more and more complex group mechanics as you prog all the content. The end game raids are some of the best content I’ve ever played in any game.
@@FoadRanjbar with the exception of it being necessary to have 6+ alts in order to keep up. I play more alts than my main. I spend multiple hours a day playing just to do dailies, kind of shitty after 9 months.
@@TheRealTrucido daily stuff are completely normal in the mmorpg Genre. This is no different. One edge lost ark has over other mmorpgs is that its endgame content is one of the best. Very nice raids / hell modes.
@@TheRealTrucido well yes because in lost ark you play your roster, each of the 6 characters you focus on is important in their own bracket. Also if you complain about dailies just do less of them, get rested XP on less important characters. Once you will start raiding on more characters you'll have plenty to do :))
In WoW, I've never felt like a mythic raid boss was outside of my capabilites. I see that fight and I flat out don't think I'll ever be able to do that 😬
Look i was struggling with the t2 scorpion bitch but im not too worried im pretty sure with enough times being thrown into this fight eventually every will click it was the same for monster hunter world i got frustrated but never let myself get deterred
Wow players: Stay out of fire! Ark players: Hold my 125 phase 30 billion hp boss where you have to know by heart some Necronomicon poetics just to avoid beserking.
thank you for not spoiling the Lore at the end. We are all going to do this and clear it on our own so we can experience the lore our self. True story.
When looking for a mmo to play with a few friends, this video helped us decide to play lost ark. Over the past 5-6 months of playing I've usually watched this video again to remember this fight as goal to reach. Around a month ago I cleared this gate for the 10th time unlocking the achievement. Seen from outside this fight is crazy, but it is really cool to play and so satisfying to beat
Dont forget to mention that there is no "active healing" nor aggro nor tanking in this game. So all you do is learning the mechanics and movement tiles and you have to do it step by step by killing the other encounters before. No-one starts with this one.
@@gecgoodpasi1654 "active" healing means: "focusing on one player pushing a button to activate a skill and this skill heals an certain amount of health". "tanking" means: "a character hold on to all or the majority of hits (especially physical onces) while standing in front of the NPC. the other damage dealers try not to steal the aggro." Beside all of this I just descriped the usual definition, but I had to explain it because some of you aren't aware. So in this sense of "tanking" and "healing", nothing like this exist in lost ark, as you can see in the video you just read this post about. PS: I've got 80 hours of playtime. PS²: if you still think I'm wrong show me some evidence (i.e. a video where someone actually heal someone or/and tank a mob)
First of all that fight is animated so incredible.. second of all I highly doubt their will ever be a raid as difficult in WoW as this raid in lost ark.. I've never seen a mythic raid and had the feelings I had watching this video.. how fucking awesome is it that you can literally see the planet at the start lol
@@phillipbotter6470 so your personal opinion vs facts. Ecen wow mythic+ players have say that lost ark raids are on another level. Only wow andys that been playing for almost 20 years are the ONLY ones to still play wow lmao. Is time to move on my guy.
It's not really as difficult as people make it out to be. Many mechanics are known gimmicks and you juice damage to skip a lot of parts. I'd probably put it on the level of Savage progging in FF14 (not even like current savage prog, like some older savages with min IL and echo) or like a high key mythic dungeon in WoW. Also, probably around as difficult as heroic raid progging. That's honestly the best comparison from when I progged it. Around the same time investment This fight is nowhere even close to on the level of mythic raids or Ultimates from FF14. There is nothing that difficult in lost ark, not even close. People really need to put this game in the context of an ARPG movement kit. Most of these fights aren't even that much more difficult than end game PoE bosses. ARPG's have a difficult feel and ceiling to them. Because of the diverse tool kits available, there is more random mechs thrown into fights to compensate. There are only like 2-3 mechs in this fight that are big prog killers but other than that like I said (fucking rng black hole without Shandi and meteors, I despise off screen mechs. First raid that finally forced me to play widescreen). Many mechs are just reused gimmicks that show up in every raid or just standard mechs with tighter windows. Like the main strategy even with KR proggers is to just build for as much dps juice as possible to rush through phases. A lot of the times you map out which parts of the fight you plan to skip. (sorc can fucking solo some phases lmao, even after the recent nerf)
@@TNTspaz So what you are saying is 'the fight is easy if you outgear it'. That is not how evaluate the difficulty of the fight. It is like saying mythic raids from BFA are easy because you cleared them in top SL gear with no problems
This is definitely harder than any raid boss I've tried, but a few bits reminded me of taking on the Lich King back in the day. 4 months. 4 days a week. 5 hour raids. We got him to under 20% about 20 times before we downed him, and in standard WoW fashion, we had him on farm a couple weeks later.
@@keselekbakiak Damn straight, actually I personally messed up our best attempt before downing him by messing up the mechanic after being sucked into Frostmourne, we wiped at 13% (he dies at 10%)

this game turns into a danmaku at some point (bullet hell shoot em up), it reminds me of tera, the game was really good, the DJ and raids were pretty rough in hard mode, but this is taking it to the next level.. and more

This game has been soo fun and with everything on high it is gorgeous. I can't tell you anything about the story even though I'm at max level, but for a free game I've had a blast with 0 sub or money.
I'm trying to get tier 3 at the moment but I am also enjoying my time. Like I don't rush and also I am trying through quests to get gold so I can buy a skin chest as a reward 😂😂but it's so fun doing anything in this game and I am glad that I decided to play it.
@@joshuamarc8773 one thing I learned is save everything until after late t1 stuff. Never open a box or facet any stone, and don't touch engravings. I was glad I did. Didn't feel underpowered once throughout the hard mode or bosses. Then I researched engravings and currency types after.
i know this looks super complicated to anyone looking at it from WoW, but seeing this video from saint is what got me into lost ark, and after progging all the way to the current highest content in NA (the raid before this one) i have this to say: lost ark does an AMAZING job of training you to handle more and more mechanics as you go through the content. looking at it as 1 big encounter is the wrong way to look at it, look at it 1 step at a time. because everything is timed via the health bar you know EXACTLY when each mechanic is coming and after doing the mechanics 4-5 times you began to get this 2nd sense of what you need to do before you're even aware that you are actively doing anything the other raids in the game all build off of each other so a lot of people can recognize the mechanics from the other raids and already have that mussel memory built in. i promise everything in this game is doable as a PUG if you just arent afraid to try and fail, eventually everyone learns and you clear it because everything comes in a specific order at exact times you become accustomed to when the mechs come out and you almost dont even have to think about it.
yeaaaaah, i have 700 hours in lost ark and this raid is NOT easy to do with random guys hahah all people need to know what they are doing because one weak or slow player will easily wipe the raid
@@janah6473 I mean that depends a lot on you no? I literally skip all of my homework unless I am for example pushing a new class. That means for now that on the latest raids/dungeon (Akkan/Voldis) I only played the normal mode version, but I still enjoy the game a lot. The fact you decided to do unnecessary grinding because you had FOMO, but then literally decidede to miss out by your own choice when you could have just casually played the game surely is one of the most ironic things though. I do homework on restbous. 2x Chaos, 1 guardian = ~15 Minutes of gameplay per Char but given its doen on rest I do it only every 3rd day, bringing it down to 5 Minutes of homework a day. If you play your 6 gold earners that would be 30 Minutes a day. Surely its still annoying but honest to god it's not that bad and especially if you compare it to many other games its easy to do. Everything else is just cherry on the cake. If you want some extra leapstones you can invest a couple minutes to do una dailys or run some cubes, but honest to god they are not needed to get your char ready for the raid. Now I personally am lagging behind a little bit of the main content (meaning I for example only the normal difficulty of the latest raid volids and did the same with Akkan before) but thats totally fine and the hard mode is actually in many cases not really that much harder and while it might give sligthly better rewards the enjoyment of playing the content is very similar. So yeah kinda up to you how you play the game. If you want to grind then of course thats fine, but doing so despite there being no need whatsoever for it to then quit while complaining that you are forced to grind so much seem like a very odd thing
To be fair, almost every dps I've known in raids is lazer focused on a rotation and utterly useless in critical thinking past hit it harder. Still this boss seems like asian parent difficulty mode, I like it, the game of what I've played is not charts on charts and drills into you the importance of dodging fire since healing is not a spam move for the stupids that want that one extra gcd.
"Remember to destroy the orb guys....yup...uh...yup..." was my favorite part. You have this look of "to hell with this raid" on your face lol! Great review.
currently high t3 rn, farming Argos every week and comparing that deer to Abrelshud or any other Legion Commander in general, you can notice how meticulously planned out these legion raids are and not just some random bs!! Argos' backheel kick and P2+P3 are so dumb with with much shit going on at the same time makes it unbearable but Legion Raids in comparison look so much more fun and I honestly cant wait for Valtan when he comes out next patch!!!!!
That's the hardest one that not many people will even reach tho. It's only for guilds dedicated enough to 100% the game. It will take months to succeed.
This straight up gets me excited to play it! I'm all ready a hardcore Lost Ark nut so to see content like this... it gets me excited to go and beat it someday
to be fair! the game preps you with all the earlier raids. it starts off simple and eventually u get to learn more mechanics. tbh this looks overwhelming indeed ahaha

@@heechankang3210 Dude, for most players it's totally unrealistic to reach this. And it's fine. It's good that the game has content for even the most HC players who obviously have no life 😂
Being an active player of this game doing Hard Mode brel now. These videos are intimidating because he is explaining the mechanics for ALL 8 PLAYERS in the raid. Its MUCH more manageable when you realize that you will typically have an assigned role within the raid based on your party # and therefore only need to look for specific parts to each mechanic or are handling significantly less than is being done here. Always remember you are 1/8 people in these raids, and are only responsible for certain sections.
The reason I love wow Classic is because I don’t have time for researching every boss closely and staying 100% focused the entire raid. Wow is just way more chill friendly. But this looks super nice for players looking for a challenge!
Sweet so now I need to spend a weekend studying before I can complete the final raids. That's assuming I'd ever have the actual time to get there. Maybe by 2030 I'll be able to give it a shot.
Imagine a 25 minute Fight says he while raiding TBC ... either they changed Kael'Tas from what he was back in 2007 or you forgot about how long that fight really ist and how easily you could wipe in the final phase.
I'm not a fan of instant wipe mechanics. when I was progressing on mythic argus back in the day individual mistakes would mean either a death or a major cooldown blown and it was punishing, but at least the other 19 players continued the fight, you would most likely wipe anyway due to lack of dps/healing but at least the other 19 are practicing.
I think that the raid size being much smaller in Lost Ark alleviates a lot of the issues you would have with the punishing nature of instant wipe mechanics. It's a lot easier to coordinate 4 people than 20/40. Not saying that makes the raid easy but definitely helps with progression.
Say with me crowd. Adding overly complicated mechanics wrapped in one shots isn't hard it's fake progression walls to push you into buying higher level gear to breathe past DPS checks.
20-25 min were the first Illidan kills on our buffed TBC server, but 27 unique abilities is crazy...this easy mode boss intro makes me wanna keep playing WoW and dodging fire instead of dying from a stroke while playing Lost Arc
I do have real personal experience playing both games in endgame. They are both as hard I would say. LostArk sounds a lot more complex but it isn’t a lot harder really
@@sukbo2 It appears extremely hard because most of this is foreign to us. When I first started lost ark, even guardian raid bosses at the end of tier 2 and early tier 3 seemed hard, along with the 8 man dungeons. But as you get better at the game, and learn boss fights, it doesn't seem that hard anymore. Lost Ark is a LOT more punishing though, as a very small mistake can wipe the entire raid

Thats the first dungeon video iv seen when i started lost ark - thought its not possible for normal people. And here i am at max level - cleared this dungeon - altho this was hard mode - we only have normal mode here atm - its doable. Requires training but its rewarding once you finnaly do it yourself. All those comments you did during the video about how WOW raids have 2 mechs machs etc - honestly i played wow for like 3 months maybe in total - during WOTLK times - ages ago - was fun - but this is next level.
Currently in Korea, this boss was cleared on the 5th day as soon as it came out. I am one of them. It looks very difficult from the video, but after clearing the first 4~5 times, it becomes very easy. It is usually cleared in one shot, and depending on the level of the raid, it can be completed in 15 minutes or less.
People have been spoofed in PVE for so many years in so many MMOs that they just don't know what "hard" is anymore. This is quite sad actually. I'm happy to finally have a game out there in which PVE isn't stupidily easy and straighfroward.
Well yeah that's what I'm saying, this sucks that people can't play real pve anymore. Btw, they've already nerfed some abyssal dungeons such as phantom palace which was way harder during the first week. I keep thinking people have still seen nothing from the content, and they are already complaining about the difficulty, and some nerfes have already been up. This is just sad.
I just completed my first Brel complete. I was dead on the last gate (4, previously 6), but at least I got 1 under my belt. Now, I have to learn all the mechanics!
Around 5 months after this video had been released I'm pretty happy about my Vykas clear. Looking at Brelshaza ... I like this game but ... how am I supposed to memorize all this?! My brain didn't even had the capazity to remember anything is the last few years!

What a beautiful thing human brain is... was stuck on gate 6 for 2 weeks.tho was stuck but people were learning slowly and now we are doing this one/two tries. now just waiting for the hard mode. Once your brain gets adjusted to the raids you muscle memory helps to every point. Once which was thought to be of great difficulty isnt that difficult at all. i saw everyones reaction of this raid in march or april last year. and i thought man how would i remember all this but you do. its like dance with the boss... you remember the steps and you will nail the boss...
Everyone in wow is too worried about where they are on the dps charts to pay attention to mechanics. No dps charts= more attention to the fight and less on micromanaging skill timers and cd's. I thought I'd hate not having meters but it's insane how big of a difference it really makes during complex fights.
Literally no one get's distracted by a DPS meter in a progress setting. If you have someone in your raid that get's distracted by it while progressing then you are kicking him.
And dont forget there are no extra lives if you die once no respawn no second chance( there is a way you get an extra live called crisis evasion but you drop way to much dps for this)
Amazing how a game could be so individually demanding and need such teamwork and knowledge of every little mechanic, and still be the biggest botfarm in the world =)

I just watched a 3 gate tutorial of the legion raid before this one and people are saying it's "easy" but clearly haven't played enough to know how much memory and focus is required especially in 4 man raids
The raid looks brutal, and it is, but the game has a great difficulty curve to ease you into the content. Every stage of content keeps testing you a little bit more until you are able to pull off things you wouldn't think you'd be able to do. Of course, it will take a lot of perseverance if you want to play into the end game, even the legion raids before Abrulshed, but each raid feels like the step that prepares you to take the next one.
i just did the 8 man 960ilvl (i think?) raid today with my guildmembers and i was way too fuckin confused from my personal experience content in lost ark gets way easier if you read up on it and go along with someone that knows the mechanics and call out things when they're supposed to happen and remind people of the positions they will have to take when the time comes to it mid fight. The only real difficulty is gonna lie in moving around cause even on db i end up struggling with positions at my first attempts and they get way easier a couple runs in.
You took quite some time to type that down your process of learning. Which is basically where the difficulty lays primarily, in learning the fight. Nearly every MMO Boss encounter goes from difficult to easy the moment you learnt the fight. So what really counts in this discussion would be the first impression and overall experience with the fight! Yours seem to be well!
@@phrometaren yeah i had a great time even though it was stressful. Since the game allows you to enter with once a week per char its gonna be difficult remembering everything.
I ahve played WoW, and so many other mmo, Lost Ark in my opinion is the best MMO right now, it's amazing, as long as you stay out of twitter and the forums your gamer heart will enjoy it at its best.
People who complain about this being too difficult, why is it a negative/bad thing the game offers a nightmare type of mode for players? If you don´t want to play it you don´t have to, game offers plenty of easy mode content for you, this isn´t something you have to do. Be appreciative and happy that we have a mmorpg that offers alternative difficult content for once, reminds me of Dark Souls games where you have to learn the boss movements/mechanics in order to defeat it. It´s more than just smashing a button to win.
IT is worse than Dark Souls. Your win/lose depends on other players. Also this is more like a puzzle, you need to know what to do or you are dead, and there is no chance that you will realize that in your first playthrough. You need to watch videos of this dungeone before even trying, because if not then you will not gonna make it and get frustrating. Even if you do, one of other 3 players could not watch the video and all your party is dead because of that guy. For me those game mechanics are too ridiculous, it's not a fight, it's just a complicated puzzle. And it is hard because game don't give you any hints. It is something like I made a puzzle, there are 3 squares with colors, there is green, yellow and red square, quess what have you to do?
@@WarframeCrunch You're not suppose to do these with random people you do it with friends or a guild. It's not too many mechanics once you learn them. Again the game offers easier content as well, you don't have to do this you can just avoid it if you don't like it. I personally love it, makes it more interesting than just mindlessly dpsing.
Destiny 2's Leviathan raid is notorious for tons of memorization and snap execution/reaction, but THIS takes the cake. Imagine how many times I'd end up wiping out on this raid, let alone Hell Mode.
The mechanics for the fights start in Tier 1, this raid they are talking about is in Tier 3. To get past Tier 1 you have to upgrade your armor by honing each piece 15 times successfully. You have a chance to fail and the chance goes down as you get higher. As you hone a piece of equipment it goes up by a certain amount. So you start at 302 item level and at 600 item level you can move to Tier 2. To give you an idea to get from item level 560 to 580 on my weapon I had failed 9 times. Each time takes a ton of mats. The graphics are cool though and the fights are very fun if you work together. Oh, and some dungeons you cannot use one of your types of healing potions and the other type you can only use 5 times before you cannot heal anymore in the dungeon. You have to become skillful. If you are a lazy player you will fail.
"If you are a lazy player you will fail." yeah no, not doing all that shit isn't being lazy it's just being a sane person who values his time. Not to mention that i am NOT going to waste dozens of hours doing the brainless main game progression to get to that, nope, fuck that.
@@vee1766 your values isn't somebody else's values. Youre not as good at this game as somebody else- its just simple as that. You do you, but fucking calling others in certain ways and basically insulting is just low. Jeez.
Once you beat it with a static raid group it becomes much easier. We have this joke where we struggle with a boss for an hour or so but the second we down it we’re like: “Alright boys now that we have this boss on farm…”
FYI, that chance of you finding 7 other players to even run this raid with in NA is slim to none. A tiny tiny amount of people even do it in KR. If you dont already have friends who are simply amazing at the game, you will never have a chance to even try this.
I've been playing LA just over a week now and for a free game, it's great but flawed in so many ways but beautiful and amazing in so many others. It goes from pretty easy mode to insane mode once you hit the second abyssal Dungeon and the raid mechanics become a sudden reality thrown on you. Thus I am now watching YT videos because there's no way you can figure it out during game play.
Actually everything up to late T2 is super easy mode, figured out mechanics on my own with a friend in every t1 abyss raids. Last 8 man abyss in T2 i pretty gimmick, but still doable with randoms

Chat is pretty cringe, but glad Guzu was able to appreciate the magnitude of this fight. I will say though I think the guy who made the video didn't really explain whether this boss behaves like others we have seen. I haven't found a boss yet that adds to their moveset but instead they change to keep you on your toes. As for the HP I would remind people that Gunlancers burst window in end game appears to be capable of doing over 100 million damage, and I am assuming that classes like Sorc and Gunslinger can output significantly more (or at least more consistently). This isn't to say this boss is going to be anything but an absolute mindfuck, but I would ask that people look at the popularity of games like Elden Ring and catch themselves before they suggest that players want easy content or content that requires a WA pack or DBM to tell you how to play. PS. I have to applaud smilegate for actually making hard content. The only thing I would say can be frustrating about it is the hitboxes...sometimes it looks like you are out and you will still get hit. Maybe that's just a problem with some of their earlier content before the game became more polished and started to gain steam.
I disagree, wipe mechanics for me are the laziest way of making something hard, when seldom used I cant accept, but when every fck time you have a different wipe mechanics to do in the same fight the fun was already left behind for a long time, I can understand people who enjoy it, but I just can't, I also like play hard games my favorite game is monster hunter world, mh games are games you need more than 100 hours just to start learning for real how to play, so my problem is with the fight been more like a memory game and not requiring much of the players skills
most lost ark raids have wipe mechanics, this one isnt too complicated by LA standards, just much longer. Hall of the Twisted Warlord has one of my favorites, the second boss requires each player to pick up a tracking missle sword in a specific order determined by your party # ( on the side of the screen each party member is numbered) after which you either pass a stagger check or wipe. If anyone picks up a sword at the wrong time or misses a sword you wipe. Its the ultimate decider of the players as its your first real teamwork check in the raid lineup and does wonderfully at separating out those who refuse to learn from the ones willing to try
Unless there are gigachads who carry you through that dungeon because, although you can't earn gold any more, there's a slight chance you get a random legendary card. I think if they also removed legendary cards from abyssal dungeons after you hit the big levels, dungeons would be again fun to play
It must feel so satisfying to beat that fight. Also I believe a new raid came out recently for the elgacia patch on KR. Man these devs must be giga crakd to come up with these raids or they just think fuck it, the players will figure it out on their own let’s just make it as hard as possible. Like I wonder if the devs themselves are able to complete these raids or they just have a good understanding of the capabilities of the more determined endgame player base for their game.
You'll have to figure out what super armour options you have immediately. Hey finally something a deathblade actually does have in abundance in their kit :') Staggers mediocre, weakpoints non existent, but super armor? Yea plenty of that lol.
I mean, if you know what you are doing. We have fairly above average stagger. It's just hard to line up. (Earth explosion is one of the higher staggers in the game when they all hit) Then we have two fine weakpoint abilities. That with a grenades gets through basically every weakpoint, except the few designed with heavy armor. We aren't at the top on either, but you don't really need to be for anything People don't complain when we juice damage on top of using them as well
@@TNTspaz we have a lot of mid staggers but no high staggers and our channel times are barely short enough to even achieve full damage within a staggercheck and that is assuming that you kept literally 80% of your skillbar off cd for if it happens. Compare this to an artilerist who just solo's a stagger phase without holding out most of his cd's I'd say our stagger isn't that great, skill or not.
@@TNTspaz But yes, our dps more than makes up for what we lack in weakpoint and for how hard it is to actually stagger with skills. We do have grenades for those things so why do any of it if you're not a class designed for it. Every skill you hold to stagger is a longer bossfight so more that can go wrong. We gotta do our job the way it was intended, we burst the fucker down while the rest bothers with the sementics like actual bossmechanics like weakpoin, counter, and stagger. We just throw a nade or a bomb and ignore the counters unless they happen towards us already and we're good.

same for me, don't look really fun I spend hundreds hours leaning to play monster hunter but because I liked the gameplay, lost ark is fun but on the casual way, when you have to fight a boss with thousands wipe dps checks I can't see where's the fun, its not like a skill based challenger but a memory game with heavy punishment for any mistakes, but each people has they on tastes good for people who like this kind of stuff
yeah because this way theres still a challenge ahead, something you can think about in the next few weeks/months in order to beat it. That creates motivation and dedication to a game.
And then on the other end of the scale there are people who like playing mindless tapper games which require 0 skills but makes them feel good because a number goes up as they do it.
I was in Kerafyrm Raid (for everyone that do not know what it was, google it), that is was way longer than this one, but, the complexity of this one is out of charts and considering that if you wipe, you are out. . . and yes, im playing Lost ark. right now waiting for tier 3 final raid to be implemented later this month. This game its all about know what to do, and really punish lazy mindless keysmashers, sadly right now there are a lot of those playing that when face any simple wipe mechanic just outrages saying that the game is not fair and too dificult. . . really people do not know what they sign for
I'll just farm trade skill tools for 3 months, sell them all and buy a piece of gear from that raid. After 2 years I should be all set. No need to go over that WAYTOODANK fight.
raids dont drop gear. They drop mats. The same mats you can get in the bosses before this guy. This fight is purely for insanely good 8 man groups. I would say that under 2% of NA players will ever clear this. Atleast when its relevant content.

Dont forget to mention that there is no "active healing" nor aggro nor tanking in this game. So all you do is learning the mechanics and movement tiles and you have to do it step by step by killing the other encounters before. No-one starts with this one.

"tanking" means: "a character hold on to all or the majority of hits (especially physical onces) while standing in front of the NPC. the other damage dealers try not to steal the aggro."
Beside all of this I just descriped the usual definition, but I had to explain it because some of you aren't aware. So in this sense of "tanking" and "healing", nothing like this exist in lost ark, as you can see in the video you just read this post about.

Around the same time investment
This fight is nowhere even close to on the level of mythic raids or Ultimates from FF14.

The difference in Lost Ark is that no matter how good your gear is, the mechanics remain the same. Wipe mechanics are just that.

i know this looks super complicated to anyone looking at it from WoW, but seeing this video from saint is what got me into lost ark, and after progging all the way to the current highest content in NA (the raid before this one) i have this to say:
lost ark does an AMAZING job of training you to handle more and more mechanics as you go through the content.
looking at it as 1 big encounter is the wrong way to look at it, look at it 1 step at a time.
because everything is timed via the health bar you know EXACTLY when each mechanic is coming and after doing the mechanics 4-5 times you began to get this 2nd sense of what you need to do before you're even aware that you are actively doing anything
the other raids in the game all build off of each other so a lot of people can recognize the mechanics from the other raids and already have that mussel memory built in.
i promise everything in this game is doable as a PUG if you just arent afraid to try and fail, eventually everyone learns and you clear it because everything comes in a specific order at exact times you become accustomed to when the mechs come out and you almost dont even have to think about it.
yeaaaaah, i have 700 hours in lost ark and this raid is NOT easy to do with random guys hahah all people need to know what they are doing because one weak or slow player will easily wipe the raid
Getting really nostalgic reading this. Man if only Lost Ark was JUST raiding and not 10hr of homework everyday, i'd still be playing it.
@@janah6473 same actually, ive quit since this comment was made
@@janah6473 I mean that depends a lot on you no?

Not saying that makes the raid easy but definitely helps with progression.

gotta admire the developers
I think the longest ever boss fight in wow was Sha of Fear heroic 25-man in Terrace of the Endless Spring in MoP. That fight was crazy long
That fight also had a huge chunk of the raid afk and not do anything for most of it....

this is why i love this game, SO satisfying after you reach it
The raid looks brutal, and it is, but the game has a great difficulty curve to ease you into the content. Every stage of content keeps testing you a little bit more until you are able to pull off things you wouldn't think you'd be able to do. Of course, it will take a lot of perseverance if you want to play into the end game, even the legion raids before Abrulshed, but each raid feels like the step that prepares you to take the next one.
well said
We need a Thaemine reaction now :D
i just did the 8 man 960ilvl (i think?) raid today with my guildmembers and i was way too fuckin confused
from my personal experience content in lost ark gets way easier if you read up on it and go along with someone that knows the mechanics and call out things when they're supposed to happen and remind people of the positions they will have to take when the time comes to it mid fight.
The thing is, 99% of gamers will never even be able to click and not run into an AOE on this boss. Let alone do it while damaging the boss.
@@WarframeCrunch this is for dedicated players, you can do island hopping and play house on your stronghold if thats your preference
@@vee1766 Lazy player
@@vee1766 your values isn't somebody else's values. Youre not as good at this game as somebody else- its just simple as that. It's very easy to de-value others who have acquired lots of knowledge and skill in a certain area that you didn't. Well, it's up to others to do what they want. You do you, but fucking calling others in certain ways and basically insulting is just low. Jeez.
@@vee1766 all I can read is western gen z mimimimimi. "give me all for free without a single bit of effort".
Once you beat it with a static raid group it becomes much easier. We have this joke where we struggle with a boss for an hour or so but the second we down it we’re like:
“Alright boys now that we have this boss on farm…”
i wonder if he would react to just theamine stuff now. and he would prob think he needs to have 5 diploma to win this
I raided progress in Wildstar and this shit makes me so hyped for the endgame content
Just because u got simple one shot mechanics till the end of t2 its not insane. :D You just need a group that knows the tactics.
@@Lotus2311 I have a few friends that are on the same server, we have discord and plan to coordinate through the tougher zones, it will be fun. I'm the furthest ahead though as i moved to the island route which helped give mats to level the gear.
I'd say the second T2 Abyss Dungeon is the first big difficulty spike, specially the turtle boss.
at 8:20 my brain just decided to "Naaaaah bro! Fuck this I am shutting down!!!" :D :D :D
The hardest part of raiding in lost ark RIGHT NOW on the EU release is getting people into the raid that have any idea what the mechanics are .
The funny part Is that abyss have 1 wipe mechanic at most, yet nobody gives a fuck and spend 3 minutes watching a goddamn guide.

wait till you have the other raids. as example the phantom palace abyss dungeon is not that hard, but ppl legit dont understand the mechanics nor do they watch a guide. got wiped like 20 times cause ppl are stupid
It is alot easier with a group in disc thats for sure, but yeah, just assign someone a direction
that one isn't a raid it is just a dungeon a hard dungeon
@@bad_killer1106 lol it's a raid dumdum
i can see my guild learning these mechanics with me for a couple weeks atleast to even maybe pass this, got something great to wait towards
its even worth to beat because you will be able to craft yourself an ether weapon. Those are extremely powerful once they are at least +5.
And here I am, stuggling with 4th abbysal dungeons (Water ones) with randoms
most lost ark raids have wipe mechanics, this one isnt too complicated by LA standards, just much longer.
Imagine doing some advance calculus while dodging shooting orbs and raging fire while constantly being chased by meteors lol
And all this WITHOUT any addons showing you what to do and where to go :D
thats the best part of lost ark, no goddamn addons, no freakin useless dps meter shit
As someone who likes playing FURI alot, This is so fun to watch!
Yeah, the Kayangel Abyssal Dungeon. Not quite a Legion Raid (which is what Brelshaza is) but a tier below that, still looks absolutely amazing.
Their company requires the developers to play the game actually.
heres me failing the final t2 abyssal over and over with pugs
2 years later.
this raid isn't that hard. You theamine is pain in the ass hard :D
thaemine normale is ez af
A simple breakdown:
Step 1: Destroy the orb
Step 2: Avoid everything
Step 3: Kill Boss
If anyone needs extra help I also make guides.
i got lost after the first mechanic
Crazy how for me, it’s easier to learn and remember this than a maths exam coming up despite doing the raid for the first time.
We aren't at the top on either, but you don't really need to be for anything
People don't complain when we juice damage on top of using them as well
@@TNTspaz we have a lot of mid staggers but no high staggers and our channel times are barely short enough to even achieve full damage within a staggercheck and that is assuming that you kept literally 80% of your skillbar off cd for if it happens.
We just throw a nade or a bomb and ignore the counters unless they happen towards us already and we're good.
yeah after this i will be going back to farm karazhan for the 1 mount i haven't gotten for the past 6 years
The weapons upgrading in this game is already stressful enough, same for the stone cutting.
no its not rookie. have you tried other mmo before ? the item will dissapear if you fail and then youre going to grind that item again.
Hi, 2 years ago 28 billion HP was crazy
Now u didnt watch the cinematic but she didnt die
Now shes back with 280 Billion HP and a rebond... also shes now elsa from that one disney movie
So far, shes the only villain in the game that you've faced twice and still didnt die
Yes wow players come proof us of how really good MMO players you are ;)
Loving LA so far, and I have ZERO intention of ever doing anything like this. If my decision is to run this, or quit, I will just quit. Doesn't look fun what so ever.
It'll be like a year or so before we even get this. That being said the video said you are able to skip it.
So the raid is only for the big guys
same for me, don't look really fun I spend hundreds hours leaning to play monster hunter but because I liked the gameplay, lost ark is fun but on the casual way, when you have to fight a boss with thousands wipe dps checks I can't see where's the fun, its not like a skill based challenger but a memory game with heavy punishment for any mistakes, but each people has they on tastes good for people who like this kind of stuff
But IT'S FUN, it's Korean-fun ! We, occidental players, are not prepared for that !
The harder the game the more exciting people get
It seems like people love to play hard game
yeah because this way theres still a challenge ahead, something you can think about in the next few weeks/months in order to beat it.
This game its all about know what to do, and really punish lazy mindless keysmashers, sadly right now there are a lot of those playing that when face any simple wipe mechanic just outrages saying that the game is not fair and too dificult. . . really people do not know what they sign for
I play sorc now and I already died in t1 2nd boss lol..twice. I guess I am not made for this boss lol.
