Kuramathi Maldives is 1.8 km in length and tapers to a pristine stretch of white sandbank, lending a dramatic quality to the idyllic surroundings of turquoise lagoons, tropical jungle. The marine life is diverse and abundant, including different types of sharks, eagle rays, stingrays, manta rays (November to April), turtles, barracuda, tuna, Napoleons, morays, schools of jacks and trevally, leaf fish, angelfish, butterflyfish, corals, hawkfish, Moorish idols, parrotfish, Portuguese man o' wars, sea turtles, surgeonfish, sweetlips, triggerfish, unicornfish and Sunfish
