“This dish is my version of the Pepper Steak from Dal Rae, an iconic southern Californian restaurant,” says Nancy. The steak is pepper-crusted, deeply caramelised then loaded with a bacon and burnt onion topping. “It’s a flavour combination that lasted me throughout the years, until I opened Chi Spacca and I was able to recreate my version,” she says.
