Thank you so much for being here! I hope you enjoy this Tokyo vlog 😊💛 My book 📖 A Year in Tōkyō: An Illustrated Guide and Memoir: www.christyannejones.com/a-year-in-tokyo
It warms my heart seeing you talking about what it was like being back in Tokyo...like no time had passed. Not sure about the rest of your subscribers, but I dig the Editing Christy segments. I don't know why, but I love the vantage point of around 14:46. It's a very "Tokyo" scene without neon lights.
Omg i just discovered your channel and I love how calm and relaxing your videos are!! And i also love your book recommendations!! Thank you for posting this wonderful vlog that I can't wait to watch before going to sleep💘🥺
I feel like we’ve come full circle ever since I found An Ode to the City of Gingko Leaves right after you first posted it. I’ll just say, home is a place that lives inside your heart, even when you’re not there. Welcome home.
This vlog made me so happy Christy! It’s been almost fifteen years since I last went to Japan - I lived in Sapporo for a year and it was magical and I can’t wait to go back. Hopefully next year! In the meantime I’ve ordered your lovely book 😊
I hope you had a great xmas holiday and new year to you! I still haven't got your book yet.... But I have got Fellowship of the ring! Hope you had a great time in Japan. I just hope to get there some day!
I absolutely loved this vlog!! I went to Japan for the first time in December and fell in love with the country! I went to many places you went to in this video. I felt so warm with love and memories of my trip. Thank you for sharing!!
this was such a lovely video. i'm going to be in japan for my semester abroad soon and i haven't been in japan again since 2019 so this video kinda felt like looking into my future. i also am most excited about getting to eat at coco curry. i ate so much japanese curry on my trip in 2019, it just tastes so good.
I still remember the time you would post videos while living in Japan, so this was nostalgic for me in a way too😭 Also, Hakone!! Yes!! The vlog in which you stayed in Hakone for that article is one of my favorite videos from you. Thank you so much for sharing, Christy, this was such a magical video as always!! 🧡🧡
This is absolutely amazing! Thank you for the impromptu vicarious Japan trip! It all looks so charming. I'm pleased you took a good holiday and break - you work so hard non-stop 💛🌙🌟✨
I have your book on digital form…from this point forward i will be in Tokyo mode reading your book watching vlogs and learning about the culture and maybe learn a few words too lol to be ready for the trip coming up in May im very excited and so nervous at the same time! Thx for making this video and sharing it with us!!! 🇯🇵 ❤ Sending my love from CT 🇺🇸 ❤
Aww, I loved this video! I came on the channel after you guys had already left Japan, but it's so sweet to see you back and loving it so much!!! Can't wait to see the rest of the trip!
Man these clips are making me well right up thinking of your first vids on the gopro/phone when you went through Asia. I watched those around when you first posted them, having stumbled across you on that corner of the internet. Had a good friend afar since then! The amount of sheer pride and love I feel for your life and growth is unreal, even though we have never met. Wishing you the absolute best heckin year, Christy!
Welcome back to Japan! I hope that you enjoy Japanese traditions, nature, and foods. Besides, I wish that your experience in Japan gives you good ideas to write books or to recommend good books.
The book Kikis delivery service is readable in japanese but not for absolut beginners more N4-N3 and I would recommend the hardcover version because it is for children and has furigana (and illustrations) in it🍵
I was getting worried (idiot me forgot about instagram) cause you weren't uploading!!! So good to see that you had a lovely, well-deserved holiday. Do check out Scattered All Over the Earth later tho (reading it in Korean right now) it is ... intriguing? In a gentle manner that Yoko Tawada writes

I've always wanted to go to Tokyo and this vlog makes me want to book a holiday there even more!
The demand was so high, they had to do ticket lotteries so there were none available for when we went ☹️ (also it's in Nagoya which is 4 hour drive away from Tokyo--we did go PAST Nagoya on this trip but it would have been a little tricky to get to)
You don't need heaps :) If you can learn 'Yes' (hai), 'No,' (iie) 'excuse me' (sumimasen), 'sorry' (gomenasai), 'thank you' (arigatou gozaimasu) and 'can I have this please' (kore o kudasai), then you're going to be fine! Obviously the more you know, the easier it is. But in Tokyo, at least, there's English everywhere. Have a wonderful time! 😊💛
funny enough I really geyou with craving for the noodles ...for me its shio Musubi which luckily I can make myself still after going to Japan every single year from 2012 till 2019 I started to dream of beeing in Japan again searching for my Shio Musubi ... so hard not beeing able to get over there thanks to Corona. Then again I am still waiting for them to loosen up about the Masks as even if its not mandatory anymore I don't wanna be that bad gaijin everyone looks at because he isn't using a Mask ^^V
Thank you so much for being here! I hope you enjoy this Tokyo vlog 😊💛

You seemed to have a very sweet and soothing voice. I wonder what it sounds like on an audiobook. 🙂

My brother went to Japan a couple months ago, and now I really wanna go-especially to the FFXIV cafe, it looks so beautiful :)

日本人が憧れる綺麗な白いお肌に綺麗な瞳の色♡日本語の字幕があるといいですね。
村上春樹の本を(日本語で)読まれるのには脱帽しました。貴方のような方にこそ日本に住んで欲しいなと思います。
🥰lovely!
Cute vlog! Could you just go in the rides you wanted to ride at Tokyo Disney or did you had to reserve a standby pass via the app for the rides?
Japan is so beautiful, hopefully I can go one day.
Hi Christy, this is a lovely video. Which hotel did you stay in? We're going in April and I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the options!
I am fan of your channel
It’s amazing how quiet it looks! Is this a good time of year to go to avoid the massive crowds?
Great video! From japan
I miss Japan sooooo much. lived there for 3 years. Really wish we wouldn’t had to move to the US. This place (Kansas) blows.... 😢
お帰り!!
I love it🥹❤️❤️❤️
😊
I got our disney tickets through klook so easy
Amazing¡
🍓🍓🍓
楽しそう!
that ramen looks bomb
I'm surprised you didn't go to the new studio ghibli warehouse museum and theme park!
The demand was so high, they had to do ticket lotteries so there were none available for when we went ☹️ (also it's in Nagoya which is 4 hour drive away from Tokyo--we did go PAST Nagoya on this trip but it would have been a little tricky to get to)
does anyone know where her beige cardigan with the round thingys is from? ✨✨
princesshighway.com.au/ 😊 (though the cardigan is a couple years old, so I doubt they sell it anymore)
What is the app you need to fill out? :)
Hi sis
