The Federal Signal Valor LED Lightbar combines multiple state of the art light output technologies in an extremely low profile form. The distinct non-linear shape of the Valor lightbar provides 360-degrees of light output and off-axis lighting at critical intersection points. This low-profile lightbar is engineered to outperform a typical linear lightbar.
Valor is built with Federal Signal's Solaris LED reflector technology to maximize powerful LEDs for superior light performance. In combination with the Solaris LED reflector technology, Federal Signal introduces the SpectraLux multicolor LED technology. SpectraLux technology provides the ability to change LED colors for combinations of Amber, Blue, Red or White. Valor has built-in SignalMaster capability for directional traffic warning. For optimum performance, Valor offers the HotFoot system for additional LED alley and takedown lights.
FS Convergence Network's "plug-n-play" capability offers ease of installation and programming. This technology reduces bulky cables to streamline installation. Manufactured with ROC (Reliable Onboard Circuitry), the Valor has fewer failure points than a typical lightbar. Fewer failure points mean longer hours that a vehicle is in operation. Service is made easy with the simple disconnect feature to easily remove the lightbar from the vehicle.
Features:
SpectraLux multicolor LED technology available in combinations of Amber, Blue, Red or White.
Solaris LED reflector technology for better optical efficiency and superior off-axis warning.
FS Convergence Network for 'plug-n-play' installation and programming.
Patented ROC (Reliable Onboard Circuitry) reduces failure points found in typical lightbar.
Optional HotFoot for alley and takedown lights.
Only 2 inches tall (not including mounts).
Available in 44" and 51" lengths.
Approvals:
All colors allowed under California Title 13 (red, blue, and yellow) meet or exceed the Class B requirements with any of the four reflectors used in the Valor lightbar.
All colors (red, blue, yellow, and white) meet or exceed the SAE J595 Class 1 requirements for directional lights with any of the four reflectors used in the Valor lightbar.
Yellow meets or exceeds the SAE J845 Class 1 requirements for selective coverage devices with any of the four reflectors used in the Valor lightbar.
Red, blue, and white meet or exceed the SAE J845 Class 1 requirements for selective coverage devices with the spread or angled reflectors used in the Valor lightbar.

I feel like 90% of the people who watched this video play LSPDFR.
2 am Just got done recording a patrol and got bored this is where i ended up lol
Jeremy Almquist never played lspdfr
jacob rodriguez. GTA v mod
well shit, your not wrong
I do patrol around in gta v
I truly love v-format light bars.
Finally, the Valor has been out for years!
Always love seeing your videos.
Very informative.
Keep it up sirennet!
I have a friend who's a state trooper and on his (2011 I think it was) Caprice he's got a Valor. He raves about it all the time especially the takedowns. It's also amazingly bright at night. Probably the most practical lightbar on the market today.
Xtermn8 TCH debatable. Soundoff signals nforce light bar would compete against the valor easily. Whelen makes nice light bars but not with the same versatility and options.
I personally hate the shape of the nforce. Granted it too has an all white flood, but it has many fewer modules, and if you're going for all-the-same-brand setup, SoundOff isn't very good for that. That's mere opinion though since well I hate the sirens that come out of SoundOff. The SoundOff ghost I do like though.
Xtermn8 TCH yeah I'm not a huge fan of soundoffs or feniex's sirens. Sirens I'd go whelen all day. I don't see less modules really being a problem. The valor just had smaller heads so they can fit more into one space. I've always thought the slight curves of the nforce bar were a little weird but I like the bar a lot. Gotten to play with some demo ones before
Well the once place that we can both agree is that the nforce is much cheaper than the Valor and if you're a low-budget department you should go for the nforce. The Valor is like $5,000 or something.
Xtermn8 TCH yeah for sure. If I had a use for a full size light bar is probably get the nforce. We're a blue light light state so only courtesy lights allowed. And I don't plan on going up to a chief officer position
Question: is the ability to have the step-through function of the scene lighting available on the SSP series? (like having one press of the alley light give the normal alley function and second press giving the side flood function)
Any chance you guys can do a review on the federal Signal Vision slr ?
This lightbar is perfect for the LAPD with the steady burn option
I wonder if Federal has a pattern set up like that of the old Twinsonics. That I would love to see.
Can you do side comparison video between Valor and say Whelen's Liberty. By how much does the V shape add to the intersection coverage visually? If it makes a big difference, why won't more agencies use this?
Out of the academy my first car was a crown Vic with the valor light bar and I loved it. Our department switched to the integrity light bar on the chargers and they are still nice. However I wish the admin would choose to go back to the valor. Much better light output with the v-shape.
The Valor light bar is new. The previous V-shaped lightbar by FS is the Vector / Vision series which is still in production.
Can the red & blue also change with each other? Some agencies use blue on the driver's side [such as Maryland] and NY cops seem to like using all red in the front with both red AND blue in the back.
Cool looking light bar, though!
just silly, nothing beats the old Twinsonic! lol I love the valour
Cool looking lightbar. Federal Signal is my favorite manufacture of lights and sirens. My favorite lightbars being the Aerodynic, Twinsonic, Beacon Ray, and the Vector/Vision.
shnorth888 One of the smaller departments in my county has one and it's the only one and it's amazing, whelen is still the major provider around here tho
I know this an older video but I’m hoping to get an answer regarding the cruise lights. I have a valor lightbar that I am trying to program cruise lights and I cannot figure out how to program it. I am using a Whelen control panel with the Serial interface module and no hot feet. I have tried what seems like all of the wires with no luck. What do I need to do to wire this or program it. Thank you!
I like the triangle light bar my police department uses them and they are super bright especially the take downs
Why don't you guys have this listed on your site? I was looking to purchase one.
How were you able to program the amber to flash with the main flash patterns?
I bought a used one in R/W/B. Is there a way to make it duo R/W front and red amber rear while still keeping the rear scene lighting? Basically just removing the blue?
While the big 'W' brand offers more light model options, I have always preferred the Federal Signal build quality and attention to detail. Sadly, the Sirennet website doesn't present very many of the fedsig product listings.
How close can the Valor get to the vehicle's roof? Rephrasing, removing hotfoots, what is the minimum gap possible between the roof of the vehicle and both the bottom of the lightbar, and the top of the bar. Thank you.
With normal feet, lowest height from the roof to the bottom fins is 1.5". It can go as high as 3" from the roof. The Valor itself, bar without feet, is 1.75" tall. Lowest total height- 4.25". Highest with the feet raised is 5.75".
SIRENNET thank you very much, clearance is an issue.
Does this bar have to be wired to a smart platform or a can it be wired to a normal slide switch so you can use a different siren instead of a federal signal siren
You can use the Valor with other lighting controllers. To wire it in, there's a break-out box.
Hey, have you made a video on the clips that go on the side of the door?
We have an upcoming presentation in which we'll be talking about a light-bar and how the strap kit affixes along with it.
Federal signal needs to make these bars flash patterns programmable
They are-
@@tomatosoupwoo the valor is not fully programmable when it comes to flash patterns you are limited.
@@tomatosoupwoo according to federal signal and siren net they are not unless newer models are however maybe siren net can clear this one up again. But just check out federal signals valor videos they are limited to 28 flash patterns.
That bracket still makes the bar sit to high.
Is that AirEL I see on the roof? :)
It is :)
Where do I order?
What is the name of the visor light bar in the front windshield?
It's the SpectraLux ILS.
I've never heard a Valor being called anything but a Valor. it's not a Vector/Vision. that's a completely different model
What inches are ideal to fit the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray?? And this can be programmable with the Whelen CenCom Carbide CCSRNT5G??
Can you please tell us the width of the roof? We're not Corvette experts... it's not a glass/panoramic roof is it? Is it removable?
@@SIRENNET 44 inch is the best choice for the C7 model corvettes
@@SIRENNET It's a coupe model.
My Q is to u two .. what full-size lightbar would u put on Top of a 08 Toyota RAV4 ? Color blue n clear .. yellow back. what n price under 1,000
A 48" length would work nicely. For price details, our sales team can help. They're available at (888) 959-0911 or info@sirennet.com.
Which one would you pick to put on a RAV4 could you do a video? And I will go check out website
Our SNLBL5 in a custom color scheme to meet your request would work great. Or, from Feniex, we have their 48" Fusion light-bar.
This can fit a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV??? And it is programmable to Whelen CenCom (Sapphire, Carbide or Cantrol)???
The 51" length/size would be the best fit. You can control it with a Whelen unit, but when it comes to setting modes or changing patterns, you won't do so through the Whelen unit. Instead you'll need to make adjustments at the Serial Interface Module.
@@SIRENNET I have a CenCom Carbide CCSRNT5G installed with the Serial Interface Module with a 51" FS valor lightbar on red, green and blue colors, I'm now programming the patterns
@@RenanMXFNYTWe'd love it see it when your done :)
Is the 51” bar 15% larger, or do they just add modules to the ends?
It was additional modules.
SIRENNET thank you
@@jaysmith1408You're very welcome ;)
What would that light bar cost it was all in blue.
Hi Jim. Our Sales Team can answer that question for you. So they can help, please call (888) 959-0911 or if you prefer email, they're available through- info@sirennet.com Thanks for watching.
I'm guessing that isn't actually a Traffic Advisor, or an ArrowStik, since Whelen owns the term Traffic Advisor and Code 3 owns ArrowStik...
Federal Signal's term is Signal Master, but they also have several 'Directional Warning Lights' as well.
So it's a dual color in the front and a tri color in the rear?
It does mix amber, blue and red to the rear; we'd refer to it as dual color since the blue and red are half & half, not a full fill all the way across.
I see. Good point. Every module is dual color. I didn't think of that.
The takedown lights on this are beyond bright.
All federal signal solaris stuff is beyond bright
I cant find a dealer near me in Delaware
Hi Eric. Just wanted to let you know that we've responded to your comment that was left on the Allegiant Lightbar.
The LAPD Have the Federal Signal Valor light bar installed on there patrol vehicles.
Do y'all have a demo for sale?
We don't.
What were the other names its gone by?
The Valor is a modernized take on Federal Signal's "Vector" Light Bar. The Vector series started the unique "V" shape and was assembled using halogen rotating pods. Options included a rear halogen Signal Master and some even had a front mount strobe emitter. There was also a Mini version with 3-pods. It was a really cool platform.
@@SIRENNET aweseome thanks for the histroy
owsome 🤗
How limited is the optional FS 6 button controller when used with this bar? Can each button be programmed as three ways or are you stuck with preconfigured button combinations? The smart siren controller is more than I need.
There's actually different 6-button Keypads. Depending on how you'd like to operate the Light-bar, you would select the corresponding Keypad number. For full details on the Keypads, the button configurations on how the Valor can be programmed and interfaced, please see the link here. Under Resources, you'll see the data and Keypad sheets. www.fedsig.com/product/police-valor
SIRENNET
Thanks, I had seen that. It looks like you can only choose one of the 6 preconfigured keypads, there's no individual button configuration capability.
Props to this guy killing his eyes making the video.
Some of these patterns are too crazy... From a distance, the mix of red, blue and white will just be a muddy mess. I think the best compromise is to have a strobing half-half since the strobing gets attention, but is also better visible from a distance.
What about the Swedish police flash pattern? ua-cam.com/video/f18LFWb19Z0/v-deo.html the CHP use slower flash patterns too.
I wish they had a valor/SLR hybrid.
lol, mount a vision SLR on top of a valor..
I WANT THE SAME IN FRANCE PLEASE !!!
If you'd like, our Sales Team can offer details. They can be reached at: info@sirennet.com
I personally hate the patterns that go crazy, but it attracts the most attention, unfortunately. The world we live in.
LIPD Productions Inc. slower, non strobing patterns catch attention better as well. Random pattern can even just be a cycle mode so it goes through all the patterns. Keeps it changed up so its more likely to be noticed
Fast flashing patterns are better for responding as it gets attention better. Also better for Cities. Slow patterns are better for on scene work to prevent other drivers from being blinded while still giving them the appropriate amount of warning. Slow patterns are also better for the highways where it allows people to easily see the vehicle from a far distance.
TYJ484 exactly my point. The strobing patterns get you attention to pull over. When you see them on the side of the road it's very distracting. Unless it's a single light like an led beacon with a simple strobe pattern. That's different
Indeed
@Magnus Fullauto it's called the moth effect and theres a lot of studies on it. This is why with all the smart control systems like cantrol, and blueprint, you're seeing slower patterns that alternate the whole light bar, or alternate grille lights back and forth. And they're synced. The faster flash patterns are starting to get phased out and are less effective now. Even when responding. Easier said than done to just say not to look at it. Slower synced patterns are 10x more effective and create less stress typically associated with other motorists reacting to emergency or warning lights.
I don’t like it.
