I’m a commodore now, I graduated from Dartmouth in July 1988 , I was inboard HMS Bristol for DTS , some of the faces at the video are familiar to me , the officer in training in video Sub Lt. Steve Copper was in the same Division I was (St. Vincent ),. Thanks allot with much appreciation for posting this video which brought nice memories to me in this age.
Excellent documentary. I am of the Navy of Brazil and work of Fragata Rademaker which was acquired the former Navy HMS Battleaxe ( F89 ) . Seeing the images of to get a sense of the related activities.
Thanks for posting this. This was my BRNC class on DTS with HMS Fife and in BRNC itself. I later went to another Type 22 (HMS Battleaxe) for fleet board.

Yes, big lol... "This is HQ1. The fire is out, therefore, end of exercise...end of exercise. Return and stow all gear. (phew!) There will be a debrief in the Junior Rates Dinning Hall in one-five minutes time. That is all." Great stuff, permanently etched from the early 90s (Brave)
I do not know if I was good or bad I was Rating In Charge of communications on a Major warship I was assigned two middies in the dog watches, I got mine to use the equipment UNCLASSIFIED to take direction finding DUDHUF or watching the teletype broadcast My Oppo (opposite number) used his middies to scrup the office floor and toilet block I never crossed paths again with any of my middies now LT's so have no feed back on how bad OR good I was to them
I think NHS and other things like HS2 will have the money the MOD will be second at best Have you seen the number of Regimental Bands that have been cut who would have ever thought the PARAs would have no Band every thing is going tri service its just the way of the UK today

8:00 so great to see such respect, kindness and generosity, I lay a bet that 98% of graduates from this course made great parents.

IN the future we will see Tri service officer training
dislexic landlord No we won’t
You and I may not want it but it will happen because of defence cuts in the coming years
dislexic landlord Defence cuts aren’t going to go any further; if anything spending is going to increase
I think NHS and other things like HS2 will have the money the MOD will be second at best Have you seen the number of Regimental Bands that have been cut who would have ever thought the PARAs would have no Band every thing is going tri service its just the way of the UK today
That would never work as they require 3 completely different skills, and what you suggest will just never ever happen.
