There is no record of Shakespeare acting in anything, but there are some suggestions that the hidden person who wrote the Works did some hidden Acting as well.
Labeo refers to the Works more than to the person.
"Labeo" - "lab" is latin for work, "eo" is Edward Oxenford or Earl of Oxford
Labeo = the work of Edward Oxenford

Ben Jonson includes William Shakespeare in the list of actors in his plays. Edward de Vere died before half the plays were written. I recommend you watch my other videos which will show why it wasn't de Vere.

@@billdup Yes, in a work of collected fiction Ben Jonson does list William Shakespeare as having acted in Jonson's plays some 17 years earlier, but there is no evidence that it actually happened, and that is literally the only reference. I personally doubt that he was an actor if that is the limit of the available evidence. It's a myth that goes along with the rest of Stratfordian nonsense.
Not one date of composition is known for any of Shakespeare's plays. They appear to have been written long before they were actually published, and there is nothing that dates any of them after 1604. There was a lot of editing done on the plays, that much is certain, but that hardly eliminates De Vere as the person who was thought of as "Shakespeare" by his contemporaries who were in the know.

Upon a time when Burbage played Richard III, there was a citizen grew so far in liking with him that before she went from the play she appointed him to come that night unto her by the name of Richard the Third. Shakespeare overhearing their conclusion went before, was entertained, and at his game ere Burbage came. Then message being brought that Richard the Third was at the door, Shakespeare caused return to be made that William the Conqueror was before Richard the Third.

The Queen gave instructions for Twelfth Night, the author had 2 weeks to write it and gave it the subtitle 'what you will' because it was what Elizabeth I had asked for.

@@billdup That is an anecdote, and it appears to be a joke, not a real event. Also, it doesn't refer to acting, it refers to fornication. Also, the anecdote also included a reminder that Shakespeare's name was William, ostensibly because Shakespeare was not well-known at all. Regardless, it is not acting, it is just fornication. And it doesn't tell us if "William" is the person's real name or an assumed identity.

Shakespeare was a brilliant impresario, but hardly a writer, except as part of a communal effort by a co-operative company collective.
