About three weeks ago I was driving southbound on Broadway enroute to Claire Ave. when after crossing the junction about a couple of blocks down I thought I saw a couple of IAIS loco's about two blocks east of Broadway. I was in hurry so I couldn't check it out. Thanks for clearing that up.
Great Christmas Eve Catches, compilations and camera work! nice to see those EMDs "shuvin" them GEVOs! Those two GEEPS were workin' HARD! Don living in District 2 Pam Am Railroad (PAR) Boston- North Shore YEH, RED SOX!
OK, So did you spend the entire day here? You got a lot of action and I'm wondering how much time it took you. Do the local authority's ( Police ) harass you at all? Looks like you were staying outside the gates so on public property?
I also really miss the Grand Trunk Western coming through here, it's sad the CN decided to close the GT down. I can remember the GT had a small transfer yard just to the south of here back in the 1980's, miss those days!
I have driven to the Broadway train spot in Blue Island only once to watch the trains. The control tower is gone after checking Google Maps online in the center of the tracks. It is now replaced with track signals above the tracks. I parked my car in the first driveway on the right on the East side of the train tracks. I got some photos and might have gotten a few videos too. I was watching out for police on the road. I did not want to get into trouble with the law. I did not know there was another railroad control tower in between the train bridges North of Broadway Street. It is also nice to the older Metra Electric District passenger Cars sitting in the Blue Island train station.
I don't remember those annoying gates and bells in the other videos i watched from Blue Island Jct. did they just add them? sounds like another railfan location ruined.

This has to be the best Hot Spot in the Chicago area.
Great filming, And Happy New Year!
Hey it’s January 2018 and I’m still enjoying this video!
This, Rochelle, Dolton, West Chicago, maybe Franklin Park/Bensenville area, and the BNSF Racetrack, no shortage of spots around here!

great video and action, how's the area like?
I miss the Grand Trunk flying through BI Jct while leaning on that horn. :-(
Love the sounds of the track creaking and moaning under the weight of the freight cars. Gives me an idea to record this sound and add it to my layout.
nice location hope to ee dolton jct next
WOW SO MANY LINES I LOVE THIS PLACE

Actually they've put in new bells that dont ring constantly when they reworked the crossing mid-2013.
Jonathan Hall That's good. UP used to do that. KCS does that.
I know I'm 5 years late to the party, but CN 2104 is an ex-UP unit, not BNSF. BNSF never owned standard-cab C40-8's.
StarWarsTrains #LateViewers2017 I'm going to Blue island soon
I live by there lol
SHUT THOSE BELLS OFF!!!!!
