Coffee and chicory is still used in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A. It is somewhat of a traditional coffee in that area. I rather like it; but then, I have stomach issues that demand low acid coffee, and chicory helps to mellow the acidity in coffee.
No need to get nationalistic about empanadas! We mexicans make them, as does everyone in South America! Although we prefer sweet fillings, it was an American pastry chef that sold me on a savory - filled with turkey, pumpkin and warm spices! 😋 YUM YUM
Now I want to go Tanguito. Argentinian food. The empanadas are amazing. My favorite one is super simple: corn and cheese. So good. Don’t get me wrong; the others are good too. 😎🔥
Eclairs are made by using a ‘Choux pastry’ (butter, water, milk, salt, flour, sugar & eggs) The flavoring comes from the cream fillings & the frostings, Paul chose to use coffee in this episode, but you can use any flavors you like. Hope you find this helpful.
