Willie Gallagher is a fantastic individual with a wonderful attitude. The republic shall never be part of England as thats a bridge too far and turning the clock back 400 years. The most pleasing part of this documentary was actually episode listening to the women in the Communities of South Armagh and Monaghan area getting together. The other great stories was how the Protestants and Catholics got o well together and respected each others festive periods. That is how I remember daily life growing up in Ballymena. Everyone knew who everyone else was and got on with life. I also lived for short periods of time in Dundonald, Carrickfergus, White Abby and Ballyclare and went to both Catholic and Protestant Schools. it’s appreciated that things changed dramatically in early 1959 and particularly from 1967 onwards. All those life’s wasted, young and old, be they Irish, Soldiers or Policemen. It accomplished absolutely nothing and people are still suffering and grieving because of it. The Vietnam war was equally stupid. Everything could have been sorted out.
