- Super excited to finally get the rear end of my truck's suspension dialed in. Also excited to show off one of the first, if not the very first set of 14" Dobinsons Smoothie Shocks. These are like a Fox or King smoothie, but with the Dobinsons secret sauce. These are 3 way adjustment shocks and offer incredible performance with long life. And to make it all work properly, I installed a set of Archive Garage Hammer Hangers with high clearance crosstube. Additionally, I had an Archive Garage shock relocation welded in as well. The rear travel in this Tacoma is super long. Hope you guys enjoy this install.

I swear this build just gets better and better. By far one of my favorite Tacoma builds out there!
Thanks. I enjoyed that. Now to see it in action in the future.
Sick flex man! The flex tape was funny. This should be in their advertisement lol
Haha yeah it should!
Well, great after watching this I have yet another mod that I need to do to my truck. Keep up the awesome videos, brother.👊🏼
Is there gonna be a video from your trip to Gilmer? I would love to see these things in action! I live about an hour from there. It’s such a fun place and perfect for testing mods and upgrades like this
An idea for the remote reservoir hose an L shaped extension that’s co-mounted to one of the bump stop bolts with a cable tie fir tree would space it away from the bump stop and keep it from ever rubbing.
That would be awesome
This is dope! I have the mrr long t4avel shocks you previously had and really like them. This new 14" shock is next on the list. I think dobinson has some of the best shocks and less expensive. Thanks for sharing.
Couldn't agree more
Love the setup. I want to pick-up the hammer hangers and the cross brace at some point for my second gen. I have the MRR's with Archive's leaf springs. Archive's leaf packs are amazing. Ride quality is great. They handle weight so much better than the Dakars I had previously. Barely sag when I'm at full expedition load out, no change in ride quality, and they're not a 200lbs / 12 leaf pack like some of the others out there. Highly recommended.
Yeah that's a baller setup for sure!
My brother in Fayetteville could probably weld those boxes up for you😂
Nice work
I still miss the tj :')
You’re a true OG lol.
Your content is fantastic!Do you accept sponsor products?
Do you list your trail runs and are they open to the public? I'm an hour away with a cj7 38.5 boggers and 13" lift
Hey Grant, big fan of the build and channel. Just a question, have you thought about doing a Chevy 63 leaf swap versus doing the Archive Garage Hammer Hangers? If so what made you sway toward the Hammer hanger than the Chevy 63
Thanks! Yes I had thought about that, but I like the progressive leafs because I vary my load so often (with the canopy and without). If I just had a regular truck bed with no sort of camper on it, I'd probably lean towards the Chevy 63
Lol the flex tape, find a welder that can fill those cuts in
Haha I've had a couple people offer that to me. The tape worked in a pinch
Any reason you went with 14s over 12s?
Yo Grant. What’s the deal with the front end? I thought dobinsons was sending you long travel on the front to pair with the all pro setup?
They are. Waiting on All Pro to finish development of the LT kit then I'll get the LT shocks from Dobinsons.
I wonder what the RTI score would be 😳
Man, who knows
A spacer is required on rear wheels in order to clear shock correct? Do you know if a more negative offset wheel will clear the shock or is spacer always needed for shock relocation kit?
That’s correct. For these shocks, I’m running a 1” spacer with -25 offset wheels. Everything clears for me perfectly. No rubbing on the body.
Thanks, that's what I thought and I ended up just recently purchasing new Wheels with -38 offset in hopes that that will clear and not have to use a spacer
Hey I saw your video with the viair 400p auto air pump. How is it? I know you have an all top now. Which is more reliable?
Alltop is better and puts out much more volume!
