As Wiccans, shouldn't we be striving for balance through more egalitarian values? What happens when the community's politics begin to seriously conflict with the religion's core fundamental beliefs?

I'm very sorry, but I've been staring at this comment for days and I can't get it out of my head, so I'm going to try to be kind.
Most contemporary models of Feminism are egalitarian by nature and design. They are not femme superiority but rather acknowledging and respecting femme folk as equal participants in humanity. I'm not sure how the poltics are shaping in your life, but to my experience Feminism has been just as empowering to me a cis gay man as it has been to my femme counterparts.

@CrisPCruz I would argue that feminism was never entirely egalitarian because the focus was always on the feminine (as the name suggests). The first and second waves of feminism were indeed about establishing equal rights. But the third wave to today has become more about hating men, elevating women above men, and promoting an LGBTQ agenda. Quite the over-correction if you ask me.
We see the same pattern in many covens that only really focus on Goddess worship, while the God gets no love because he apparently had his time when Yahweh was dominant. Again, an over-correction.
The God and Goddess are supposed to be equally valued with there own strengths/weaknesses, thus an egalitarian representation of the Divine masculine and feminine inherent in all of us. The current politics of sex and gender also tend to conflict with those principles.
These were the detailed concerns implied by my initial question. No offense was intended, I only meant to address possible cognitive dissonance.

Feminism is egalitarian by definition and in fair practice. Wicca as part of its core beliefs is also feminist.
If what you have personally experienced is not egalitarian in actual fact (and I do specifically mean in objective fact, and not what you subjectively opine to be what happened), then it is also not feminist.
To be fair, there are indeed pagan sects that focus only on goddess worship. Those can fall under the category of pagan, but they are not wiccan.

@@MelieneGardner The definitions of feminism put emphasis on women's rights; the word literally means 'woman' -ism. So, it's not very egalitarian if it prefers one sex over the other. By your logic, Dianic Wicca is neither feminist nor Wiccan.
I agree that Wicca should be egalitarian, I just don't see it being practiced or taught that way by the majority. It isn't just my subjective experiences either, but the points I made previously can clearly be observed in books and other modern resources, if any effort is taken at all in doing the research. Political ideology has been corrupting Wicca since around 1970 (and most definitely after 2010).

@@Mathew_Carter Much of what you are saying is factually incorrect. Start with looking up the official definition of feminism and go from there. I'm not going to attempt to make you change your opinions as that is pointless. Your experiences and opinions are your own & you have every right to those. However, if you are going to make statements as if they are facts, I recommend doing some research on what the facts might actually be - like looking up a definition. Takes a very short time, and it's free. Take care and be well.
