I’ve seen several videos of this and these puppies are so darn cute. I think it’s great that they’re designed for laps. No falls, no accidentally stepping on them if the robot walks around. Instant lap dog. Are robotic lap cats made for the cat lovers around?

For people who are able to take care of real pets robots just wouldn’t cut it. It would be more of a novelty though don’t know if they were allowed to have one. A real dog and cat react differently and at 65 for me I’m a little creaky always checking where my two cats are and I’m not exactly as fast as I was and they do have a tendency to trip me which is annoying. For elderly much older than me and dementia patients who can’t take care of real animals it’s a marvelous idea until the robot breaks down from age. Then what? As for a temporary solution I guess it would depend on the attention span of a person. With dementia patients how long can a robot pet hold heir attention. Would they even remember to use it. For regular elderly whose age prevents taking care of a dog or cat, but have no memory problems I think they can become very attached which is good.
