Amazing cover, close to original. When i listen to this cover and another covers of Judas Priest's songs i just apreciate more and more Judas Priest one more time again and again. Altough Iron Maiden is great band, Judas Priest is superior, genious band with genious lyrics and music, versatile and pioneer in heavy metal, many bands were influenced and be influenced by Judas Priest. Judas Priest come with his music far ahead of time. Thank you Judas Priest for your music, for your attitude to your fans and to bandmates and to other bands. Just remember, when Judas Priest create versatle and intellectual and powerful music, Metallica still create the music of garage band...
Too think that the R/R hall of Fame has snubbed Priest. What are they thinking??????? Best metal band of the 70's through today in my opinion. Seen them dozens of times. Even caught the St Louis outdoor festival in 1980 at Busch Memorial stadium when Priest was there. SUPERB!!!!
I had this version in my iTunes as the "Original" version of Judas Priest hahaha. 10 years got the full album and listened to the original Exciter, I was like... I though it was heavier...

Racing' cross the heavens
Straight into the dawn
Looking like a comet
Slicing through the morn
Scorching the horizon
Blazing the land
Now he's here amongst us
The age of fire's at hand
Stand by for Exciter
Salvation is his task
Stand by for Exciter
Salvation bids to ask
Everything he touches
Fries into a crisp
Let him get close to you
So you're in his trip
First you'll smoke and moulder
Blister up and singe
When ignition hits you
The very soul of your being will cringe
Stand by for Exciter
Salvation is his task
Stand by for Exciter
Here he comes now
Fall to you knees and repent if you please
Who is this man?
Where is he from?
Exciter comes
For everone
You'll never see him
But you will taste the fire upon your tongue
He's come to make you snap out
Of the state that you are in
Looks around and make you
See the light again
So much self-indulgence
Results in shattered eyes
Predominant complacency
Leads to beguiling lies
Stand by for Exciter
Salvation is his task
Stand by for Exciter
Salvation bids to ask
When he leaps amidst us
With combustive dance
All shall bear the branding
Of his thermal lance
Cauterising masses
Melting into one
Only when there's order
Will his job be done
Stand by for Exciter
Salvation is his task
Stand by for Exciter
Here he comes now
Fall to your knees and repent if you please
Who is this man?
Where is he from?
Exciter comes
For everone
You'll never see him
But you will taste the fire upon your tongue

Ralf Scheepers is the closest I've ever heard ANYone approach what Rob Halford was capable of in his prime. Major props. \m/
Have you heard the Strapping Young Lad cover of this song? If not then I highly recommend it.
I'd say Warrel Dane circa Refuge Denied days surpassed them all vocally ascension to destiny
@@1TakoyakiStore Dear God How could Marshall forget about Devin. He is a monster and probably even better singer than Halford and I love Priest
Strongly agree 👍
Ripper Owens was literally in the band.
This track was the painkiller of 70s
I have always thought the same way.
It kinda sounds like Deep purple's Fireball which came out few years earlier.
@@InterestingStuff888
That's true ,too
Way better.
Baita vocalista
Love Kai's backing vocals here in all the right spots. Great cover all around.
It's actually me.. :-)

Great cover!
Gamma Ray are the Teutonic Judas Priest 🤘🤘🇩🇪🇩🇪
Flat out incredible cover! This is just one badass rendition....Insanity and genious is a must own album
Wowww!!! R. Scheepers and Gamma Ray are fuckin¨Awesomes!!!
Back again, sickest ever tribute, always will be.
although I love every song Kai Hansen sings, I miss Ralph Scheepers in Gamma Ray.
Egosum Tantum well primal fear is awesome as well
Egosum Tantum awesome metal song indeed
Ralf Scheepers rocks!!!
Great singer !
Great job!
From the best Judas Priest album

Gon Ferrer same here haha
The Unleashed In The East live version is way heavier than the studio version on Stained Class.
Nobody but THEY sound just like Judas Priest !
Primal Fear
Gamma Ray is the world best power metal band in the world.
He even rolls his R's sometimes just like Halford.
No disrespect to priest but this is off the charts awesome
This sounds like the "Unleashed" version.
Wauu.
One of my favorite band I'm serious I should have been a metal singer.👍🍻💯
ralph is great saw him 1 time at jaxx primal fear rocks
Simplemente grandiosos
Viva el metal.
Saludos desde México
Wow!!!
Awesome... \m/
Halford has never sung as fine live as this cover. Never, i'm sorry
Damn that was good 👍
Thin or muscle Ralf kick ass!
Kai Hansen is the world best power metal Lead Guitarist in the world.
Agreed. But next to KK and Glen who were the best duo of guitarists!!!!
Andy Laroque and Pete Blakk (super underrated combo)
De longe, o Melhor cover que conheço. AMAZING
why Priest haven't join Scheepers after Halford in 90s ?????? crazy...
Dear Heavy Metal, you are Welcome. Sincerely, Judas Priest
That moment you hear Rob Halford but in reality its Ralph
Ralphord?
Ralph is really good 💪💪
How much money do i need to put out an album a priest tribute album, lets say 15 kick ass songs, with ralf scheepers on vocals, any idea people?
Kerry king, kai Hansen, les Binks,
I think much thousands dollars probably less than 50000 dollars with a support band.
Halford Jr. 🤘😎
3:20 - Kai and Weiki didn't invent that power metal style after all...
Check Strapping Young Lad's cover. Devin Townsend's voice is off the charts.
I'm pretty sure it was the priest
Sweet - Set me free 1974 all the tropes of speed/power heard a decade later. ua-cam.com/video/P-RTCRPMoaQ/v-deo.html
God DAAAMN, RALPH!!?
Man imagine if Scheepers took the job......
Sounds exactly like the original. :(
metal
Ralph Sheepers the best!!!
Actually, that's pretty good.
Thats studio version btw
It really sounds like it was recorded in live but it appears you must be right ! I've corrected, thank you !
No problem! Thank you for the upload!
:))) 🍷
No es un cover es judas priest

Better than the gay softness of American Drummers!

Drums as an instrument are rigid.
