- Our next stop was in Luray, Virginia so we could visit the Shenandoah National Park and take the Skyline Drive. This was a beautiful and peaceful area we really enjoyed and the Skyline Drive scenic tour was fantastic!

CCC .... I so hope we don't forget about these young men from the 1930s.... 150,000 starving scrawny boys were mentored by tradesmen of all sorts. . They are directly responsible for 100s of state parks, forests and quite a few National Parks... Best program FDR passed
FDR got us out of the great depression, one if the best presidents. Also a big fan of a ccc they're stuff is still standing to this day.

Adam, Haze= Great Smokey Mountains.... That haze floats all the way up thru the valley and yes guys the colors in the fall are just awesome!

Sorry it was so hot when you visited us. Had you been here this week it would have been much more enjoyable but who can predict the weather. Some years it stays hot like that all the way into November; I have worn shorts and a T-shirt to Thanksgiving dinner before, not common but it has happened. It isn't really so bad with the humidity as long as you aren't moving and there is a breeze blowing. Being from Florida, I reckon you know what that is about. Hope you enjoyed it. Late October is good if you want to pick some apples and enjoy the tree colors; some years are later than others for that.
Don’t know what speed your time lapse is running but cut it in half so The rest of us can enjoy the scenery as well ..
If you get a chance try some Smithfield ham.
