Thanks Richard. Dash and instrument cluster is a miserable job, and even after you've dropped it, you still face that much hidden resistor board. Opted to also remove my master cylinder from the dash along with the heater cables so I could get it completely out of the cab. And yes, isn't the speedo cable a piece of work🙄. As always, good camera placement and views of what's going on.

I'm a month out from getting my sambar dump and has no ac. Gonna retro a universal hotrod system in it..... definitely will hate life getting the cluster out but more so I'll have to take the brake fluid reservoir out

@@padigadiga reservoir doesn’t need to come out. It unscrews from the dash and can stay in place.

Great reference video again! Is the EN07 a non-interference motor? I’ve gotten a lot of conflicting information on this matter so far.

Yes it is. You will bend valves if the timing belt breaks.

Thanks so much for this guide! How long do you expect it takes to remove both the dash an instrument panel? Also, would the radio and heat/fan cluster need to be removed first before the dash?
Ive got a dying wiper blade motor/assembly and need to rebuild. Thanks so much!!

Dash can come out all as one to get to the wiper motor. I would say an hour is more than enough. Hardest part is the speedo cable. Good luck.

Is there an easier way to get to that resistor?

I don’t think so. If there is, I would love to have known. I’ve had these stripped right out before so I am sure there isn’t.

This video was of no help for the 1999 Sambar. We need a lot mor videos spacificaly for the newer body Sambar as there is nothing. I've been battleing this for hours as a mouse has crawled up in my dash and died. It stinks! But I have 1 little thing I can not find for the life of me that's preventing the complete removal and now I've already broke 2 things trying!

Unfortunate! If I get a newer ride one day maybe I will dig into it. Good luck.

@@turnbullgarage88 Thanks. It's hot as hell and aggravating to the max. I believe I need to pull the bottom steering column off but there are 4 screws. 2 were easy, the other 2 are recessed 4" deep with a 1/3" hole to get a screw driver in but not be able to see or get a grip. I'm no little guy, that's why I gave up the previous body style and got this bigger cab, so this kind of bending over in the heat out in a stuffy garage and smelling rotten maggot mouse and breaking parts is enough to make a guy go insane! lol

@@turnbullgarage88 Oh, and mine is for sale =) lol W put it up on ad when my neighbor put up his $26k Daihatsu Jumbo cab 4x4 with 2k km up for just $16k. I wanted it so bad but needless to say it sold in like 2 seconds. =(
