I discovered Jerry's playing in high school (1979) via the album Live Grape. then, when i was in college in Santa Cruz, Jerry was playing in Felton and Capitola a lot but i was under-age and never caught him live until later in life. (But, i did manage to see Kaiser/Frith at the Kuumbwa club (still have some of it on a cassette). the show started late because the Linn Drum was left in an alley in Santa Monica the evening before). after i moved to the PNW in the 90's, i ran into Jerry many times at his and sometimes at my gigs. last time i saw him was at a Jessie Colin Young show in Tacoma in 2022 or 2023. anyway, thanks for sharing this.
I remember seeing Mobey Grape with Electric Flag and the Electric Prunes at the Rose Palace in Pasadena back in the day!! Jerry Miler did leave a path of memories with many people!!

I appreciate your tribute to Jerry. Long time fan. Saw them play at the Quaker City Rock festival, Philadelphia 1968. A Great gig. Jerry Miller was a great writer and guitar player. I knew it back then, and the clip you show of him in 2019 shows he still had it. He will be remembered through his country rock psychedelia contributions and particularly through the magical musical incantations of Moby Grape.
Just wow! Henry is a long ago friend (no, you don't get to know where or when, it's the internet, but I'll just hint to him with 'The Prisoner'). I've enjoyed his guitar playing for years (yeah, it's controversial with some, eveyone's entitled to her opinion), but this was a particularly pyrotechnic display! More guitar improv heroics as the theme music for Weddell seals and waddling penguins!
