Brilliant scene! Nowadays, if this skit was redone, the GREATEST talent in the scene would have been the elevator itself. And it would have only been CG.

There was an elevator operator in NYC at the fabric store “Mood” about 10 or so years ago. I wonder if he still works there. Had that metal accordion thing as well as the elevator door, that he opened and closed.
I don't wish great shows like this were redone and made today. We all know they would pale in comparison and not be worth watching nowadays. I'm just grateful that there were times where wonderful things like this could exist and that we have existing recordings that we have the privilege to watch and share together.
Miss Burnett, I m 6 foot 3 and a half and I look like a melted rubber bulldog ,I would like to give you a digital hug ,I loved your team since the 1970s,It help when I was miserable waiting for my father to turn up he rarely did , you helped me to have a laugh and feel better
It really is a shame that more people don't know just how funny Vincent Price could be. His horror movies are what people think of when they hear his name.
He's EXQUISITE. His Celebrity Roasts when he's at the podium are/is HYSTERICAL 🤣😂😂😂 The More I See (of) him; the More I LOVE and (I'm Sorry) ADORE Him. Controversially the Most Versatile Performance Artist.. ...EVER.. 🎨
I am glad you finally posted a sketch from the February 9,1972 episode of the Carol Burnett show that featured Vincent Price and Eydie Gorme as guest stars. Please post the "Horror Playhouse; House of Terror" sketch, which also featured Vincent Price, on your UA-cam channel, as well as his recitation of "Desiderata", from that same episode of The Carol Burnett Show.
I can't believe that Carol Burnett is going to be 90 in April and Vicki Lawrence will be 74 in March. I didn't realize that they is an almost 16 year age difference between them.
One day i was waiting for the elevator n when the door opened n fog came out with an angel appearing to ask“ yes, going up ? ” I was surprised n puzzled n stammered “ eh … no. Going down” Angel replied cheerfully “ ok. Have a nice day” n the door shut. As i was wondering what that was all about, the door opened again. This time black smoke shot out n the devil 😈 came out asking. “ yes going down ?!!!“ I chose to take the stairs down

And truly what's not to like!
If you're talking about her honkers, I understand.
Only Carol and Vicki are left. The best stars are mostly gone these days.
Thanks, that helps a lot. I didn't know who some of them were.
@@MotownFan1962 No, Inga died in 2008 unfortunately. She had a stroke following a battle with cancer.

Normally I don’t watch Carol Burnett, but seeing her smack those people to their senses and then they smack her to stop screaming was dang hilarious!
Oh my~ the first man, the drunk, is Vincent Price! Wonderful!!! ❤
It really is a shame that more people don't know just how funny Vincent Price could be. His horror movies are what people think of when they hear his name.
Actually I think I saw him in something funny first, before I knew what he was most popular for.
Not er'body
He's EXQUISITE.
