My last 2 shipments had 40 million in crops and 10 in dust. In both I got 4 mirror shards plus divines and 1-3 power runes for 140+ in returns. You get zero risk when sending to Riben Fell with all maxed out sailors.
Totally forgot to mention that I've been doing the 2 verisium bars to Riben Fell strat while building up my crop supply. It's like printing money, no joke. A lvl 2 sailor can handle the trip, brings back 3-4 scarabs and a couple of runes and on top of all that you get the occasional pirate encounter.
Why does nobody mention that Kalguur tops out at 4.1M before you start getting risk? Other ports I can send 50M ships with all lvl 10 sailors with zero risk, Kalguur starts filling the bar at 4.1M with the same sailors. It goes to 10% risk at 50M.
Have you done a lot of shipments to Kalguur? I thought it was interesting that ZiggyD and his helpers have not found any advantage in Kalguur over the over ports. Maybe they have a different sample size.
So, I've done 2 50 mill shipments to Riben fell with multipliers (On others recommendations to take the shortest port, that the value etc didn't matter) to get ZERO, I REPEAT, ZERO MIRROR SHARDS. The only other big shipment I did was to Kalguur with a lower multiplier and less total value and it returned a mirror shard.
Thanks for this, man! i have been busy as of late & no time to play let alone investigate how the mechanics work. Guess I try maxxing my mines first since ores especially crimson one appears the least & next would be shipping. Any idea on the recommended crew level for the short ports? Just below 10 or way lower?
Minimal cringe time wasting opening intro, no like or subscription begging, true deliverance of original value. Well deseerved like, keep up the good work, this is a great format I wish more PoE creators follow!
Crop type does matter. I think it is W =12, C=15, P =18, O = 21 and BZ = 24. You can check this by just putting 1 of each in individually at a time and it will tell you the shipment value of each. BZ is going to give you 2x the shipment value for the same amount of W.
At the start of the league I was interested in the value of crops and what should you grow and came to the conclusion it does not matter as long as you are getting all of the bonuses from the farm. What they mean is that yes crops have different values, but per unit of time the shipment value is the same. I will provide example numbers, but you can test this in game with the actual numbers, lets say you are growing Wheat at 10 per hour which has 10 shipment value, and now you replace it with Blue Zanthimum which yields 5 per hour however the shipment value will still be 10. This means all plants are avereged at the same value per unit of time to produce as long as you perserve the bonuses.
@@max417481 nah im not new to the game. im just saying that i couldn't understand the relevance of the port used. it was not even explained. he just said it. I already did a 50m shipment to kalgur and got 1 shard. pure crops and minimal dust.. and got 3 shards in karui ports. so that's why I'm asking what is that basis of ports does matter lol
Nice breakdown, but your assertion about dust "being expensive" is just flat out false. A fully maxed middle plot of wheat grants 3661 wheat/hr for a cost of approx 2632 gold/hr. The cost will depend on your specific Lvl 10 farmers. Each wheat is 12 shipment value, so we're getting 43932 value/hr. Or 16.7 value per gold spent. Let's say you have cheaper farmers so we need to beat 17 value per gold spent for disenchanting to be worth it. Disenchanting costs the same amount on a per item basis, so it is only expensive if you are putting in low value items. Once you start disenchanting uniques it is not uncommon for EVERY item you are disenchanting to have at least 5000 dust, or even 10000 at endgame. My current setup is not remotely min-maxed but I can disenchant an item in 5 minutes for a cost of 3221 gold/hr. Even if I had only 5000 dust items this would still net 60000 value/hr for a cost of 3221 gold/hr, which comes out to 18.6 value per gold spent. A better deal than the best possible crop yield. Once you factor in items that grant 20000+ dust (some even are about 50000) the dust yield can spike to over 30 value per gold spent. Nearly double as efficient as crops. TLDR: The moment you can farm 100k gold per hour comfortably you want to fully upgrade Disenchanting and ALWAYS send shipments with 50% of their value in dust. To fuel this you will want to disenchant uniques, influenced items and high level jewelry (avoid items below 5000 dust value).
@@doaks31 I meant expensive in terms of divine orbs to purchase the tier 0 uniques to actually break down into dust. Not the gold. Sorry for the misunderstanding
@@EthanDju Fair enough. I've found I'm able to keep up with the dust costs just with self found uniques. There are a shocking number of things I'd usually filter out that disenchant for over 20000. There is an extra cost if you don't want the headache of picking up uniques
So in theory 25m crops + dust isnt good for the cost/gathering of dust nowadays? And Is it the same if you send 25m crops +25 m dust and sending 46m crops 4m dust?
I farm scarabs while i wait for my 50 mio shipment. Ribbon fell can be just as badly with the bar fights. i used to farm a lot of stacked decks so i have the comparison. It is 100% rng, you jsut had a streak of losing sailors, it happens just as often in ribbon fell...i have to hire new random low levels all the time there, too...I would be interested in statistics, if 50 times 1 mio, or slightly more for that matter, earns more than 2 mirror shards on average compared to the 50 mio...I have gotten 6 mirror shards from 4* 50 mio shipments so far which seems kind of low. All were zero risk to ribbon fell and 1 to pondium were i got only 1, which is obv bad for 50 mio...Next shipment i go 10% risk all in on kalguur i think because the league gets kind of old...Gotta try for that 8 shards shipment xd
no no no, the different crops have different shipping values, you can check this by placing one of each crop at a time in the shipping list. you definitely want Blue Zanthium as your middle crop to get the most value per hour.
As mentioned several times, the increased crop value and the increased farming time matches. Means, even if 1 blue zanthium is worth 26 wheat, you produce with the same farmers on the same field either 1 blue zanthium or 26 wheat with the same time investment. Means, regardless what you plant, the "shipment value" will stay the same. Regardless if its idk... 1600 blue zanthium or 41600 wheat that you produced in the last 10 hours.
you dont need to fulfill it in one shipment but it would be ideal if you can to not waste time. just to reset the multiplier, cause every time you fulfill one you get a new one and you pray for crops not bars. :)
