You are doing what I was planning on doing after I retire. Due to my circumstances it doesn't look like I'm going to be doing either one in the near future. I'm subscribing to your network and wish you much success.
As for moving south, I've heard that George is fairly decent and the people are nicer than they are in Florida.
Since this arctic blast has hit the Midwest I've also contemplated selling everything except my car and heading south until I find a place that makes me happy.
