Loved watching this ! You always make it so enjoyable as you explain the reasons you do additions or lifting !
I sat with a cup of afternoon coffee and a few Tate’s chocolate chip cookies and a WW commercial came on ..ironic !

Sounds like a nice afternoon Betsy! A video showing a time lapse of one of the hummingbirds is coming this Wednesday.

Thank you--this was very helpful. If you're looking for more topics, I'd love to see more videos of negative painting, (not the basics).

Looks beautiful! I love the quin lilac , purple and of course the phaloturquoise. Backgrounds can be tricky. I have been working on a horse reflection and ended up using masking fluid and unfortunately there is a lot of it but I couldn’t do it any other way. I am really liking Holbein ‘s masking fluid. I have used Pebeo, and Windsor &Newton but I think I found a new favorite. The horse is very blurred and the only thing this not a reflection are his feet. I hope it works out. And nice video.

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing both of these. Loose backgrounds are definitely something I'm trying to work on. I find they're a little more difficult to control than I like, but they do make paintings more interesting. Your tips are so helpful - thanks as always!

I get my Gator Foam board from my local art store or online stores like Cheap Joes, Dick Blick, or Jerry's Artarama. I hope this helps.
