Absolutely love Elena's zen-like mental state. Add to that, her refusal to play to the gallery - she remains a true-blue introvert who lets her racquet do the talking - hats off! A win against Iga is icing on the cake
Nicest comment. You just gotta love her for her demeanour! The 'Divas' could learn so much from her.
I agree
No way. We miss Serena's dragon energy.
Introvert?
She's just being a Russian.
These are their mannerisms.
@JesusLovesMe But - Yep the we have seen what Virtue signaling has done to a certain Naomi Osaka's tennis career and importantly her state of mind!!
I am so proud of Elena. I have been watching her for about 4 years now. I love watching her play. Graceful and elegant. No screaming, no drama. Just her racquet talking.
Yeah I started watching her after I saw her beat Serena a few years ago at the French remember saying I really like her game. Took a few years to put it all together. And she is just so lovely to watch. Yeah I'm a big fan. Also it's good to finally see some consistency with the top women in the game. Elena and Aryna give some serious competition to Iga.
She reminds me of Sharapova, except she's not a cheater.
And no cheating, unlike Iga
just pinned your likes to 100!!
screaming and drama are pretty unrelated
Elena's winning a lot of fans with her calm and quiet but deadly game.
Exactly 💯
Count me in. She's a true silent assassin.
She clam, but she hit the ball so hard
She has a "meek and quiet spirit." And she crushes winners! A great combination. 😊
Agree she is so calm.
I loveee Rybakina’s style of play it’s so mathematical and composed. You can tell she’s thinking through each point knowing exactly where she wants to place every ball.
Yes, also the way she was reading Iga's game is fascinating.
@@mikiafu Rather, she somehow hypnotized Iga, who was simply not like herself. But this is not her problem, but coach Igi's. This is his defeat.
@@LobsterFromMars hahaha! That's a good one. Maybe she spiked her drink
What a graceful and dignified player is Rybakina. I like not only her game also her court behaviour during and after the match. One of the most versatile and dignified players I have ever seen.
agreed.same thing i like from her,she is different to other players
Rybakina’s composure in these big matches…she doesn’t lose focus often and that’s what will help her win more slams
Iga got a taste of her own medicine. She was absolutely helpless. Elena is playing some incredible tennis right now. I hope she wins the whole thing.
Stop proving how clueless you are. The way how Hawkeye called the lines tennis rules doesn't work. Swiatek lost because of Hawkeye being idiot and blind loser.
Sabalenka will take her to school.
Rybakina's power game is too much for Iga. I'm not entirely sure why as Iggy has played and beaten other big hitters--including Sabalenka, multiple times---but Rybakina is just a bad matchup for her, which happens in tennis. It may be because Rybakina hits a flat ball---not much topspin--and so Iggy just doesn't have the time to react that she normally does. Playing a big hitter on a hard court is definitely a challenge for Iga.
@@Berighteousone We will see what we will see.
@@STRAWYB SABALENKA has never lost to her . Easy
Go Rybakina go...one of my favorite WTA players. So low key yet so good!
Elena was top class today. Calm, compose and utterly focused what land her in winning side. Expectation from her now so high 😊
Elena is just amazing! She reminds me of Federer - calm, elegant, beautiful game and technique, and the feeling that all this is very easy for her!
Yeah, when she faces Iga, she definitely turns into Federer mode, i wish she doing that constantly
Federer was the opposite of calm at the beginning of his career.
Federer was salty when he lost

Elena is IGA's Achilles heel! Wow what a performance.
(IGAS) ACHILLES HEEL IS HER (SERVE), AT BEST AVERAGE, TO MOST OF THE WOMAN, ON THE TOUR.🤔🤔🤔.
And Krejcikova and Ostapenko
So is SABALENKA.
It’s the hard hitting girls that trouble Iga
IGA is a cyborg. She really needs to do something with that massive forehead.
WOW Rybakina...and now final with Sabalenka...just WOW!
A final between Sabalenka & Rybakina again ! ( Will Rybakina get her revenge ? )
Playing at the same level as with Iga will make a trick.

That was so deadly Rybakina beating the defending champion Swiatek!!!! Now ranked 8 in the world and still going up. I'm still rooting for you to win against in-form Sabalenka on Finals. Goodluck! 👍
Me too
The ranking might say she is No.8 but she is clearly amongst the top 3 in the world.
@@jliang70 The rankings say No.10. only because there were no points given for her winning Wimbledon.
@@jw5003 Correct, adding 2000 points to her ranking points she is clearly the No.3 at the moment.
@@jw5003
She is ranked 8th now because she got further in Indian Wells than last year when she lost in the quarterfinals.
How about that boys and girls? Elena doing to Iga what Iga has done repeatedly to the field. Crushed her in straights.
I really like Iga's game...but, my favorite female tennis player is Elena. She is as poised and polite as Iga but can easily handle her power and Elena's big power takes time away from Iga to not only set up and hit her shots but run the ball down with Iga's great foot speed.
Was waiting for a player like Elena to come along and now she is here. Sabalenka has big weapons too but more of a head case and her screaming on the court is unacceptable.
P.S. the great Steffi Graf was quite introverted as well. Let her racket speak. Pure talent.
This is PURE UNADULTERATED TENNIS, folks! no drama, no beaking off, no pouting, no screamgrunting, just pure mental/physical EXCELLENCE for rybakina!! a TREAT to watch!!
So true, so true, so true. No drama, no screeching... Just feed me the damn round ball so I can flatten the living daylights out of it. Beautiful to see :)

That. Was. WILD!!! The new rivalries that are starting to develop are amazing. And it's nice to have some consistency at the top. Love the WTA!
Yes I totally agree
Elena: Supermodel physique, ice queen emotions on court, and a forehand cross court shot as powerful as Thors hammer! Love her n her game! Absolute assassin when shes on form! Final is gonna be a classic!😳
What a Simp
Elena is a treat to watch and honestly, Iga’s road to #1 is a bit overhyped. Can Ms Swiatek acknowledge once atleast that she was beaten by superior tennis shots rather than making injury excuses ?
Iga alas is turning into a Serena mk2,a sore loser!
Wow 😳
Too much constant easy power from Rybakina!
The finals going to be an absolute barnburner!!
Rybakina is so elegant without trying... Powerful game... Sorry Iga... Rooting for Rybakina in the final... Good luck❤❤❤
Elena Rybakina - the ideal tennis champion for both men and women: no grunting or screaming, no fist pumping and celebration after every point won, not even after winning the match, just the mysterious Mona Lisa smile.
Elena the face of an angel the tennis of an assassin ❤
She is making No.1 looks like some qualifier! Amazing Rybakina!
I’m Polish , I saw the game and you are absolutely right.
I was fortunate enough to see Elena play in Toronto's WTA 1000 event last year, and even though she lost to Gauff in that match (Gauff had the defensive match of her life), I was blown away by the fluidity of her strokes and how effortless the power is she can generate on both the back- and forehand wing. At the time her foot speed was her achilles heel around the court, but in the off season she seemed to improve this aspect of her game, as she's getting to a lot more balls out wide, fully balanced, resulting in, a higher percentage of hard driven balls being administered to her opponents. It is devastating; most women, save for Sabalenka, cannot handle the barrage of pace Elena can now bring to a match.
If she remains healthy, I would not be surprised if Elena (or Sabalenka, to be fair) were #1 by the end of the year.
Yes I totally agree by ends year number 1 and 2 or least by beginning of next year and as much as I like Gauff don't think her game at this stage could ever beat Elena again at her stage. She is a lot more consistent So glad Elena game has finally come together and her movement has improved tremendously
Me too. I even watch her play at the US Open but she lost
She can't be number 1. Iga Swiatek will still be there. She'll continue to compete and rack up the points.

Iga looked less than ordinary, lost, and confused. Thx Elena for your outstanding performance 👏 ❤️
Elena keeps her composure whether she leads or not in the game. This is how she wins. She has developed nerves of steel and she is a force to be reckoned with.
So proud of Rybakina!!!!🤗🤗🤗 Played really well agains the world No.1 Swiatek. Her serve did not fail her today and all were solid hits💪🏼 She moved very well and placed her shots and angles superbly. Elena just smoked Iga with a complete clinical, business like performance. Such powerful performance from her that Iga had absolutely no chance to fight back. The beginning Sabalenka -- Rybakina era in tennis!
Yes and looking forward to the sabalenka rybakina rivalry also these are two players who can consistently beat Iga
Sabalenka has no weapons other than her strong hits and her loud and annoying grunt. She is not unbeatable with a smart and complete player easy to take her down.
WTA deserves to has it's own Big Three: Iga, Arina, Elena
@@deanstockwell2396 You are talking of Sabalenka 2-3 years ago...She has become smarter and psychologically stable....
It already started last year, these two were starting to find their game second half of last year and Iga capitalized on a transition period of top-10 pretenders. Things are catching up now, but the points system and draws in the WTA is slow to react and now finally they are in the section to play Iga which Lena didn't get the chance to do last year.
I love how Elena is always calm and just play the match.
It’s so great watching the match without screams and childish tantrums.

igas only weapon is topspin drill shots and that works well against players that cant match her power or pace .. but not with aryna and elena they gonna overpower her and push her back and she doesnt have other solution that topspin shots no slice no dropshots just topspin forehands .. they are the kryptonite to igas limited game .. congrats to elena this was another level today 👏👏 the final against aryna gonna 🔥🔥 the two best and powerful players going at it can wait my fav match up on the wta tour for sure 💣💣🍿🍿
Yes, perfect comment. Iga has to learn to flatten her shots or change it up. She's very stubborn but still just 21 and learning.
Well said lowkey
Iga is also annoying af. I'm glad she got smoked.
Yeah, she’s very one dimensional.
@@maximilian2974 No, she is never going to overpower the like of Elena Rybakina even if she decides to flatten her shots. She needs to get more variety into her game, a slice backhand that will give her opponent a different look. We know in QF Rybakina played Muchova, Muchova certainly did not match Rybakina in term of power but she took her on with change of angles, pace and variety
Rybakina seems to be the only WTA player that has Swiatek's number. Impressive performance. The outcome of the match was never in doubt.
Elena can definitely beat her on grass clay court maybe be challenging
SABALENKA has Rybakinas number . She's destroyed her every time

That was a destruction. Rybakina has her number. Too much power and composure.
Sabalenka has Ryb number. Beat her 4 times
@@Berighteousone yes I agree, let's see if Elena can back up this win
Bit early to say she has her number - they have played three times. Prior to this they split, so whoever won today was 2:1. Clearly her style matches well, given how Swiatek was dominating players before now. Swiatek doesn't (yet) have the Barty ability to alter tactics. Either way, great to see such depth in the WTA.
@@zweigackroyd7301 good thing she is only 21 so have all the time to learn that yet!
@@ExSit18 Both these players are improving fast, it's great for the game. I feel like especially Swiatek has shown an amazing ability to learn and apply new features to her game in matches.
Impervious and magnificent display of controlled and superlatives tennis from Rybakina.
Rybakina must be one of the most underrated players in tennis. She absolutely has Swiatek's number. She is such an unassuming young lady, so calm and serene in appearance. She is able with her demeanor to bring a very focused display of high level tennis. Once she stays fit, she is going to be a force to be reckoned with by all the ladies. Sabalenka like she did at the Australian open finals will have to bring her best game to beat her. Certainly not the performance in the earlier semi final where although she beat Sakarri, she was far from her best and sprayed too many shots.
Rybakina is my favourite player now - and has been since that magic Wimbledon run. If you notice, she's even wearing green emerald ear-rings for St Patrick's Day - and as an Irishman, I appreciate that. She's also beautiful, but that's another story which must not take away from her grace on court. Many players could learn from her, and I don't just mean about playing tennis.
Watching Rybakina play I really start to miss Ash Barty. .It would be a great match up...
Seeing Rybakinas whip her forehand is quite nice!
The only path to beat Swiatek is getting more and more clear. She is vulnerable against a strong and acurate server. She can't engage her retruns in a proper way. Consequence: she feels a lot pressure on her own serve and she has problems to handle it.
Yes Rybakina won around 80% on first serve where Swiatek only 44% . Swiatek serve is her weak ling, always under pressure to hold serve.
When Iga’s serve isn’t working her game is harmless. Even if she uses a kick serve against Elena she’s really tall so the kick won’t bother her. Last year in Miami when Osaka played Iga in the final, on second serve Naomi was wayyyyy in side the baseline close to the service court to return Iga second serve, that’s how weak it is. She is a good player though she can improve that aspect.
@@jw5003 I think Rybakina's first serve is more powerful than Swiatek but more important for Swiatek is what she can do if her first strike tennis does not work. Clearly feeding her opponent with the same shots over and over is never going to work, clearly, Swiatek needs to play a game that makes Rybakina feel uncomfortable with the spin, pace, angle and depth.
@@jliang70 There's no comparison who has the best serve. Look at the Stats. First serve in 80% won Rybakina only 44% Swiatek. The Serve is Swiatek weak link, was under pressure every service game.
Almost forgot that top-10 before 2020, Osaka, Barty, Kerber, Serena, Halep, Mugu, Pliskova are all out, or semi-retired.
Elena is my favorite player now. what a style and power with great composure. I wish we got players like her few years ago.
Elena is now 3 and 0 versus Iga this year. Amazing. The final should be highly competitive with Sabalenka also playing such dominant tennis including her serve. Also amazing that Barty used to routinely beat both Iga and Elena when she was still on tour.
True but they improved their game significantly.

I think Iga struggles with the heavy hitters; Rybakina is a more consistent Danielle Collins (and better mover). She has Iga's number at this point.
CONGRATULATIONS ELENA . . . !!! We all verry verry verry PROUD FOR YOU . . . . !!! KEEP CALM and HUMBLE GIRL . . . . . !!!
Rybakina studied Iga's quick movements and anticipation of the ball well enough to use it against her. It's all about getting the right angles when playing Iga. Iga can really be helpless and all that foot work can be flawed. Congrats to both, a great match to watch.
Agree, especially towards the end when Iga tripped over her own foot while trying to retrieve a ball.🤣
It seems Elena had much more success attacking Iga on the forehand side. Every time Elena contracted a point and hit a powerful shot to the backhand, Iga was able to counter well.
Clearly, the speed, weight and trajectory of rybakina's shots do not leave Iga enough time to properly strike the ball for maximum spin and effect. i believe the only surface where Iga could beat rybakina is on clay, but i doubt that even, because rybakina is also a very good clay court player as evidenced by her quarterfinal appearance in 2022 roland garros.
Wasn't Iga's day today, but she really needs to rethink or add more dimensions to her game.
Her usual style is moving the opponent side to side, waiting for a short ball to put away or finding a sharp angle, because she hits with so much topspin. Rybakina just bullied her today and she had no other weapons or plan B to fall upon. This is where i miss Ash Barty, who could switch her game depending on the opponent.
Maybe she needs to grow longer legs so she can get to Elena's shots.
Ok Coach😂
@Pit Stop Well, it's a fair analysis. Do you have a better idea?
Ash Barty was a joy to watch. One of the very WTA players with an all court game and of course, the Federer like slice.
Most WTA players don't have a Plan B . They rely on bashing the ball.
Thought Swiatek would give more of a fight. But damn, she was just overwhelmed by Rybakina. Happy we will get an AO final rematch with Sabalenka.
All things return… When you waste and spend energy discussing something outside the game( like Iga discussing T-shirt with Spartak Moscow) you loose your focus . Bravo Elena🇷🇺

Moscow born Rybakina wiping the court with Swiatek was a joy to watch.
what's remarkable is that Rybakina didn't even look like she had to push herself too hard or get too far out of her comfort zone to beat Iga. she pretty much just blew Iga off the court without any fanfare, grunting, shrieking, and all the other nonsense that many WTA players do to pump themselves up
I do agree with you. That fist pumping and shrieking is so annoying. She just goes about playing each point. I really like her.
Rybakina and her coach managed to solve the Iga puzzle and are now clicking it as if it were sunflower seeds.
But unfortunately, Elena doesn't do it with all the players... Now there is some extremely talent-rich generation of players, in the TOP-10 everyone can win against each other.

This is not 1st, not 2nd, this is 1ga's 3rd easy loss to Elena this year (if we count that exhibition match, and sure, they played with no AD scoring then, but Elena didn't need much AD scoring today).. after 1st loss, 1ga said 'I treated it like an exhibition, so not really concerned', after 2nd loss at AO, she said 'I felt a lot of pressure of wanting to win AO too much', and after this loss, she said 'she played great, but it's more about me and my mistakes + physical discomfort'.. that all may as well be true, but accepting that someone is your rival for ages may free you up so much. I wish that to 1ga as her fan and a fan of good tennis. Cos if she keeps telling herself anything other than the truth, which is that Rybka is here to stay and it's her game that's causing 1ga inability to play her own game, then I don't see 1ga reading any of the obvious tactics Elena applies when playing her. Forget tactics, 1ga's biggest weapon, her return is completely taken out of equation by Elena serve, and Elena cross rally balls open up so much space, that even if 1ga was to finally recognize that Elena is always hitting behind her and not into the open space, 1ga's muscle memory would be telling her to go into the open space and defend it. It's a big conundrum, and you'd expect a world number 1 to solve it, win some games if not the match, and not dissolve like she did. It starts and ends between the ears, and it's surprising to see 1ga not being honest to herself.. Her team was very annoying to me in this match, as they remained silent, as if it was embarrassing to cheer for their player, and reveal the tactics to the world.. no words of encouragement, no shouts, no nothing. I don't like seeing that, and if 1ga told them not to talk/react during her match, that just further proves my point of the mental block she has against Elena. Until she accepts Elena's normal 50-60% game is antidote to 1ga's 70-80% level, I don't see 1ga beating her again, not even on clay. I was so looking forward to this match, as these are my 2 fav players, and was hoping it would develop into a great rivalry, but this is no rivalry, it is a drubbing. Congrats Elena, and good luck 1ga 🌛🌛 And in the final we now have Elena having a mental block against Aryna.. but if Elena brings this level to courts, she'll have a big chance, good luck 💪
Very good detailed analysis, one of the best here. Are you a tennis pro? I won $5k betting on Elena. I'm betting she'll win the finals too.
Rybakina defeat swiatik twice in a raw these year. Good job Elena Rybakina🎉❤😊
The scary thing is Rybakina has considerable room for improvement
More room than you probably think.
She can start hitting drop shots like she used to and slices and improve her footwork and volleys.
@@westonmeyer3110 Still make fewer unforced errors, Better play in finals
Shes also 3 years older than Swiatek. Lets see if she manages to win another big tournament first.
@@black.cake1 Actually that's not true, Rybakina is just under 2 years older, born 17th June 1999. Swaitek born 31st may 2001
@@tysontwenty it is only a one year difference. She peaked very late.
It's not a mental block that's preventing Iga from playing well against Rybakina. It's the powerful, flat balls from Rybakina which doesn't give Swiatek enough time to set up her shots. Iga likes slow, spinny balls like Gauff's, and only Rybakina in the WTA gives her consistent, powerful flat balls from both forehand and backhand. That, combined with Rybakina's serve which i think is the best in the WTA, is just too much for Iga to handle.
Yes, but all the things you said then give 1ga the mental block she has against Elena. I don't even think Elena needs to play at a high level to beat 1ga, as her base level, her rally game + serve is the antidote to 1ga's..
I agree, I think the top100 women can go out there and pound strokes all day, but keeping the ball low and using angles is the way to go. Having a big serve is nice to have too.
Of course it is a mental block, it was clearly visible from the start and loss of the 1st set by double fault
@@gvgvhk.jg.4579 Yes but the mental block is a result of Elena out serving and out hitting Iga. Iga knows she can't do anything about it and this affects her mentally
You can clearly see it was a mental block when it was all over at the release of the hand shake. 😂😂
Rybakina is all courts player. This year is her dominance
Elena really be putting the brakes on Iga and I'm so proud of her for that....
Friend. Absolutely!
She plays a calm, precise and deadly game. The only thing I don’t get is how she handles her over excitable coach talking to her like she just started playing yesterday.
Rybakina! What a game against world N1. She have never played at this level with rare mistakes. Impressive 👏 would like to see more this kind of play
Masterclass performance Elena! No easy feat to take down world #1 Iga. But you've done it again 😊Happy you are in the final and hope you go on to win it 🏆
She HAS to get that victory over Sabalenka now.
Fingers crossed
I hate sabalenka. Can’t stand her screaming
She seems can't win over that screamer
@@ernar8926
She is getting closer each time she plays her. She nearly fought Sabalenka back to even games in the 3rd set despite an extremely high level from Sabalenka.
I think the slow court might actually be Rybakina’s friend this time. Rybakina served better against Iga than Sabalenka did against Sakkari and overall had an easier time against a much tougher opponent, so if Sabalenka gets a few double faults(which she didn’t do that much in the final of the Australian Open)and Rybakina brings her A game then Rybakina could beat her and start to beat her with some consistency.

She did it!!!!
