Yes, someone used the exact same method to hack me out of my lowest firefly friend, neon louvered glasses, and dizzy stars. I have barely anything now.

It’s really sad that kids and teens have to be worried about getting hacked on Animal Jam. Why can’t we all just have fun and bring each other up? Not down. I think it’s really pathetic that people would seriously waste their time hacking a literal children’s game where kids just want to have fun. I’ve had my account for *years* and I’ve played for *hours*. I’ve made so many friends and great memories on this game, and it bums me out that people are hacking..

@@-Blaxe- the hack issue are largely from AJHQ's main big faults for creating rarity system in the first place lol i dont know have you realize yet that AJHQ a greedy company themselve literally teach kids how to be greedy more than actually teach about animals lolmao, just go ask many kids about how much they know about animals on that game provides and you will get an answer they will say they play this for get their favorite items, some of them will take risk to steal their parent credit cards just to buy those pixels items many greedy people who are start from teen age and above are at faults too, abuse rarity system and some of them literally tell AJHQ that just dont bring back beta items, rare items ect becuz they so greedy want more sapphires while dont even want to pay real money for it and dont support devs hardwork are bias while some people have simple and good mind set like me is just like: why they just dont bring back beta items and rare items instead of keep abuse this shitty cycle of greedy and then we wont have these hacking account very alot and they can reduce alot but oh well they shot their own feet and lose the ability to acknowledge it anyway
@@-Blaxe- Hate to say it, but people literally get paid from rares with REAL currency. I've seen people charge up to $20 for a rare on Instagram and they get paid from their PayPal account. And of course, there's been already cases of scammers who get paid and never trade the rare. It's ridiculous

A couple of months ago, a _whole_ bunch of my buddies were getting hacked, and I had no idea what to do about it! I kept telling my buddies to turn on 2-step and to change their passwords, but sadly, they didn’t know how, and they had to switch accounts. Thank you so much for making a video warning people about this! Getting hacked must be an absolutely terrifying feeling that I don’t want anyone else to go through.

The fact that Animal Jam isn't doing anything about this (as usual) is really sad too. I've been trying to get in contact with ajhq for months now, especially here recently, to get them to help me change the attached email on my current aj account so I can have 2-step verification on my account, and of course the only response I got was a couple of automated messages telling me that they can't do anything. So I might have to make a new account and lose all of my animals. Nice.
The good news is that I've made a new account now with 2-step verification and transfered all of my good items on to it, and honestly, it just feels like a huge weight off my shoulders. Hopefully, with the help of the mini-games, I can re-purchase the coyote bundle, but if not, then thank you WW for making the fox and the My Shops actually accessable, it's one of the very few good things you've done recently lol

Also fr, I would love if WW brought back some more of the original animals that are now out of stores bc even though I've been playing a very long time, they're are still some animals that I've never seen in stores at all. Maybe with them doing the spooky wolf and the autumn coyote thing now they might actually consider it

Normally you would want to hide your rares if you think a hacker is present, I know you normally dont know who they are but I noticed they talk in weird grammer and kinda sit there in a corner. Be careful
I start playing Aj a LONG time ago like back In 2016 and when I come playing it i noticed all my good items are gone (like black out spike, rainbow spike, ectect) and so does my pet collection I hope this time i wont get hacked again, and I'm glad you made this video to inform us all. I was in a Discord server that involved hackers, and they STILL are, but they use two main websites. These websites I will not name incase someone wants to visit them, they also are kind of phishing sites. Basically, these will give a certain code and/or hash. The person then copies and pastes the hash to a site that decodes hashes (I don't know how, as hashes aren't typically able to be decoded), but that comes along with that player's password. They then try to see if the player has two-step and if they don't, they login. The player then loses everything. I do want to note that they only do this to accounts that are inactive, so that AJ doesn't ban them. I will not name the people, as I don't want them to be attacked, but they are out there. Be safe everyone. Please use two-step authentication.
as a person that was into that stuff, lemme tell you that method also works with active accounts that were leaked during the data breach. They usually target active players to get into their accs AJHQ does nothing about this lol
@@guillermosilvaryan I am aware, HOWEVER AJ can trace your account if you DO hack active accounts (from what I've seen) which is why it's better to hack inactive (not that I am or would, but that's what I've witnessed.)
Ohh yeah I know that server, I was really into that stuff back then. I've tried that method before but it barely works for me nowdays, most of the password I've found are old/outdated, since they've changed it because of the data breach or have been changed by aj. And they mostly target inactive accounts, because you can easily get banned when hacking actives, but some people still managed to hack actives too.

I remember coming up on a video that showed this when I searched up how to NOT get hacked. I remember 2 of the sites. One was breachdirectory and hashes. Idk if there was a third one but I saw in the comments in the vid abt ppl put peoples info in the comment section. They act like "haha stop getting so mad its just pixels 💀💀💀" but if that was REAL info they could've been in lots of trouble.
yeah i quit aj about a year ago but check in periodically just to see what’s going on and when i checked in last night i found out that i got hacked and all of my rare clothing/den items/pets were gone, even my sapphires were gone. I wasn’t gonna do anything with the items anyways so i guess im glad someone else is getting some use out of them but it just sucks that it’s so easy to do that stuff. I ended up giving away the very few items they chose not to take bc i have no use for them
My sister got hacked when the 2020 data breach happened. She made her account in 2012 and had so many good memories with it. What is wrong with people?? This game was designed for kids/pre-teens. You're literally hacking kids' virtual items. Really pathetic honestly.
People use the old data breach from a few years ago to find passwords, my friend got scammed, some random person said they could "help get the items back" and said the scammers password. They also knew my old password... luckily since the breach all the passwords have been reset so just don't use the same password.
Yes there have been SO MANY backings in the past few months, more than in a long time. I’ve heard of 5-10 of my friends and their friends getting hacked and that’s just the ones that told me. I witnessed my friends animal jam account and her channel getting hacked and it was terrifying. I quit partly bc of this reason and I never want to go back to the community. It’s going downhill faster than ever.
I always have 2 steps on, someone I really like ended up quitting aj because they were hacked It really hurts too, they're a chill dude, nice guy and iconic, I wish that nasty hacker didn't succeed
ive actually met someone who did this, and would charge people animal jam items to share an account for a website supposedly made for “recovering your password” after it had been leaked, because of the data breach that happened a couple of years ago. so many people’s passwords are on them, as well as their username and the site it was breached from. it is very easy for people to get these passwords, so it’s definitely best to turn on 2FA and/or change your password
Yesss I was hacked the same way I lost 1k sapphires, the newest super box items, and MANY rares like, rainbow spike, blackout spike, white out spike, and so much more. I now have a new account with my you tube user with 2 step on and I actually am doing great for being hacked around just 2 or 3 months ago
So I haven't played AJ in a long time because of ROblox. When I tried logging back in with the CORRECT SAVED PASSWORD. I didn't work! So now I'm scared someone hacked me even though I shared none of my info to anyone!
I know how this happened. i used to hack animal jam accounts for fun back in middle school, im older now and know better, but i still feel guilt till this day. The thing is, if you havent logged into your account in a long time, it means you probably havent changed the password either. Since the data breach that happened a while back, maybe like a year or two ago, you know a lot of animal jam players information was leaked. This includes passwords. Im not going to go onto full detail because i dont want anybody else using this method, but there are places online where you can get codes from old accounts where you just search up the username, and you have to de-code the random numbers and letters. Once you do that gives you the full password, now it dosent work that often nowdays because people have been changing their passwords and it happened so long ago, but for people who haven't been on in awhile this is a real issue. I hope this sheds some light on the topic, but make sure to change your passwords. And do NOT give out account information to ANYONE. edit: No they cant hack your account again unless another data breach happens, them "sneaking" into animal jams data base without a data breach is a myth. And trust me, if there was another data breach, we would know. those things are a big deal.
there isnt really any other way for you to get hacked other than this way or giving your account information to someone else. You have nothing to worry about if you change your password. This is why you have to keep a look out for data breaches, you want to change your information from that account immediately after that happening. The data breach gets the information from the time it was breached. So the hacker may have your old password, but wont be able to get into your account, because those kinds of things dont update unless, like i said, another data breach happens. stay safe!
I got hacked actually- and I never realized it. I had forest and a bread hat for a while and i join one day and they were gone, confused I thought it was glitched. After a few months most of my good items were missing so i changed my password. It genuinely sucks and i hope it does not happen to any more people
I think I was almost getting hacked since my acc logged off whenI logged in, I changed my passwrd and then it stopped. The logging off didnt happen once or twice, it happened ALMOST 16times in a row.
Okay so, if this actually is a serious problem where AJHQ themselves are trying to fix it, they’ll be SUPER helpful. If you lose any items, tell them you got hacked, and that your items were lost. Tell them each of the items you lost, and specifics about them ex color or paint seed potion on them or something. They’ll transfer the items back into your account. AJHQ is very understanding, and they actually helped me get back my first ever AJPW account. If worse comes to worse and you do end up getting hacked, they’ll help
The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I legit lost so much and so many good memories I didn’t really care that I lost my rares (besides my tan headdress) but they took all my amazing art that had sentimental value to me. That’s just completely messed up. I cried for 3 days straight because of it. I changed accounts but I have bad anxiety that I just always turn off my account and disable everything

I got hacked once on AJC, it was horrible. I had so many valuable items on my account and they were just gone one day. Someone got into my account and recycled them to gems and then changed my fox to all black. They didn't even trade them! Just got rid of them! I didn't even give my password out to anybody or anything. Im still upset about it to this day.
Btw I saw aggrix today in the alpha peck hideout. Aparntly he meets up with a group of girls (I think) and does a pack run. They meet up around 2:20 or 2:30
I stopped playing for like a few months and when I got back on my play wild & classic account all of my stuff was gone. I love it when a big company isn’t even capable of securing their players informations 😍 I’m 100% sure that it’s because of the leak, cause I never gave my password to anyone

It's been the longest time since I've had never had 2 step verification on animal jam classic, and I may plan on putting one on. (I don't play the other animal jam, but my ex best friend has hacked it for reasons I may not know although I don't care so much about it. /gen)
Thank god they finally added 2-step verification to the game, better late than never. Still, hacking and data breaches is a huge problem on AJ, and I doubt it'll go away any time soon. Stay safe everyone 🙃
My entire account pretty much gone and AJ did nothing.. I sent emails and they said anything after 30 days was unable to be tracked and gave no compensation. Had my acc since 2016
Me and my "friends" used to hack (in)active people, they didn’t regret anything about it, but I did. One of their mains even got banned since they hacked a few active users. Well, I also hacked some accounts, but only inactives. I still feel guilty about this, but everytime I hacked someone I just regretted it after a little time. Luckily I didn’t get banned, since I didn’t really took all of the items/pets from the accounts I‘ve hacked, I even left some good things on the accounts because I felt too bad. They may wasted so much time and possibly money for the sapphires / items. If I‘m honest, I may just took some items that I was looking for, yet I didn’t take most of the items my victims had. It took me just a week to quit hacking, I’m honestly glad I made this decision I’m just working up on my stuff, unlike others hacking or scamming people. Most of the hackers/scammers don’t even feel bad nor think about the time or money that got wasted for the items/ sapphires. I see that most people don’t buy membership with real money anymore since shops exist, but still, they may did when shops didn’t exist Also whenever you feel like you’re not safe from hackers, I recommend to transfer your sapphires, items etc to another account or multiple ones, it may prevent hackers to take the items you wasted ur time on
just a heads up they can still get in your account but it is ridiculously hard to with two-step enabled but if Animal Jam added an option of a physical security key in the two step authentication it be pretty impossible for hackers to try to get your account if you're wondering what a physical security key it is a physical USB drive that connects with your devices, including computers and laptops, to prove identity to access specific resources on a network.I also recommend looking up more about physical security keys because there are some for mobile ones too they should also add Microsoft app authentication well as Google one to provide more optio to be honest email authorisation method they use it is kind of bad AJ does need to take their security a bit more seriously to their website/game if they ever do add options i recommend the security key method another thing with security keys there is also an option to converting some USB stick into one
Someone almost hacked me but thanks to 2 step they couldn't get in. That wasn't even the password that got leaked during the breach. It was a random bunch of symbols and numbers and letters. Turn on 2 factor verification everyone 😬
I've got hacked a month ago and lost literally EVERYTHING (but my dens and den items). I used to have a lot of animals and sapphires but i wasn't that incredibly beta person, i never gave my password to someone or anything else and the worst thing is that i played ajpw for like 6 years too and i rlly had a lot of love to the game. I can't find the sense of hacking in a kids game. I need to say that the community got really, REALLY greedy and the only thing that they think about is in rares,betas,sapphires and etc.
Bro last December before going to winter break, I notice aj was hard to get into probably because of my connection from the school so I restarted my phone, and I see my latest mails and I see that animal jam ticket aka someone tried to get in. Bro 2 step saved my account I suggest everyone to get it
I think this method wouldn't had been leaked if everyone was forced. My father changes my password and his account's password monthly, he is a pretty lazy guy. So if i ever log out he doesn't wanna just go back into outlook and see the code again, I think if your just too lazy to turn on 2 step, then just reset your password alot (i recommend daily or weekly) if its too annoying, then you may get hacked. Oh and have a strong and long but rememberable password, write it in your secret diary or on a secret slip of paper if you cant remember! Only show it to your parents if they need your pass though.
Bruh I just downloaded animal jam the other day, and I noticed when I went back in today my wolf Juniper had a different costume on and my antelope Duchess did too. I was so confused. Also almost all of my jems and sapphires were gone :’(

Так же могут агрессивные игроки напасть на любого новичка с обвинениями о его скине и как он "ужасно" выглядит, то, что он нуб. Если вы хотите попробовать почувствовать себя настоящим на русском сервере - смело туда идите, но будьте готовы. На вас могут смело напасть и обворовать, назвать вором за попрошайничество. Same. I was trying to reset my password since I got a notification from google that my password had been in a data leak, but whenever I tried it would say there was a unknown error.
For me it hasn't worked since late 2019. I used to switch between Spanish and English servers daily and one day parent account just stopped working, and the website to change the password of it too
Should I just make a new account? I still have my current one that I’ve had for years but aj says there’s no email associated with the account but whenever I forgot my pass when I was younger and we still had the email, i was able to reset it. Can’t really do that anymore.
Update: I made a new account transferred all my stuff into that account still kinda bummed cuz my level on my now spare is 34 and I have a bunch of dens and animals (Ngl I’m more upset about loosing my favorite dens than animals) but I am enjoying a “fresh start”
My friend (Miles) got hacked by my best friend (Lea). She found out Miles username, and she had prior hacking knowledge. So when Lea heard Miles ripped someone off she hacked Miles. I was framed and it was awful. Me and Miles are in good terms now. She didnt have 2 step verification on. I did so I didn't get hacked after I confronted Lea. Some people are awful so never give out ur info.
Almost a year ago, I login to my account on Animal Jam again (because I took a break from playing it for 6 months). But when I got in the game, my Capybara was black with red eyes. I thought it was nothing, so I put my Capybara back to normal. When I looked to see my pet Stegosaurus and guess what? It's gone. I looked at my dens and mostly of my dens that are not in game anymore are gone also. Only left with two, my normal den and my mystical den. Lucky, my den items, clothes, saps, and animals (expect Capybara) are all fine and unharmed. At that time, I was pissed that they deleted my dens and my pet Stegosaurus but it didn't effect me much now. My account was 3 years old and I have never gave away my password to anyone. To this day, it still questions me who hacked my account, but I turned on my Two-Factor Authentication just to be safe. It's annoying, but it's worth it for the protection of my account. I literally did this on my account just now. I got so worried, but I’m telling my buddies right now! Also, it was very easy for me and my mom to do, we just did it to my brother and me!
I've turned on 2-step verification before but my problem is that after I turn it on I have to log into my account again use the verification code. I don't mind that but my problem is that no matter how many times I type in the verification code, it says it's incorrect. I even tried copying and pasting it. So i kept reseting it but everytime I got the same result to the point where I just completely disabled it.

On TikTok someone told ppl how to hack, I didn't believe it so I tried to "hack" my alt It surprisingly worked and I added 2 step verification I also tried it on my other account but it didn't work, because I had the letter ø in it, the hacking websites don't support those letters like : ø, ō, ë, ē, ī etc I'm not saying to change your names but for now like leamon said please put on 2 step for your safety you can find tutorials of how to put it on, stay safe!

I'm so paranoid about getting hacked that I'm supper incredibly cautious with my account. I turned on step-2 identification and everytime I even think I was almost hacked I change my password. One time, while I was playing the game a few weeks ago, I get an email requesting to login to my ajpw account even though I was already playing the game? I got so nervous that changed my password immediately afterward
i remember one time activating 2 factor auth on discord but ended desactivating it since i dint understand how it worked, even if i put the correct code it dint enter, im not sure what i was doing so. i desactivated it
I made my account ages ago like 9 years ago so it was on my mums email and we don’t know how to change the emails, which is why I don’t have 2 factor auth since it’s just a hassle for her to have to give me the password every time

Nooo!!! Thats so scary TOT I have nightmares about getting hacked. Im not that scared of loosing my items, i actually am more scared of loosing my green pet Parrot named fuzzybird.... He is based off of a real parrot i hv and i have made lots of memories with him in game. He is the only green parrot ive seen in the game, and he feels special cuz i have a long story of how i got him. I would probably have a bigger chance of quiting if i lost him rather than my best items (double tail, ice drag wings, alphas etc).... Im very sorry to the people that got hacked. You people did not deserve that :c
Yeah, I think I got hacked recently. My rare forest gauntlets, double tail, rainbow spike, and more are gone. I've contacted ajhq but I don't think I'll get my items restored.
You know what I typically call hackers? Lazy people with no patience to actually work to get the things they want themselves. That’s all hackers are. Not criminal masterminds. Just stupid people who don’t have lives of their own.

As an ex-hacker it’s scary how easy it is to hack, but it’s actually kinda ajhqs fault ofc hackers are bad people, but we get all the info mostly from data breaches, it actually is hard however, if u have seen an explanation video u can tell how we do this, also my apologies for being a hacker, it was a long time ago, and I stopped, I regret hacking so sorry, also the fact that ajhq isn’t doing anything is upsetting
Hacking groups have actually existed for a long time, (I don't mean the famous ones like mighty squad or whatever) hackers make those groups to do lots, share hacking methods, programs that let them steal info, ect. And with the convincency of discord they gradually moved from older chatting sites to there. I also assume there are servers with a mix of scammers and hackers.
I also get why some people wouldn't put on 2 step authentication, If you switch from Playing ajpw on PC to mobile alot like me, you have to put in your password alot since aj makes u do that when you play on a different device. But still, be careful!
I had 2 factor on and my hacker bypassed it. there's some program that can hack without even trying. i lost 128 sugar gliders on play wild. Then oddly they said sorry and returned them so I have no idea what happened.
@@LeamonPuppy we my pack had been dealing with this person for months we originally thought it was a girl who goes by lemoncandyofficial (she stole one of my sugar gliders in december i spent months hunting said glider i managed to get him back in april) but when I fully reported them to ajhq, I was told it was an impostor. So she had nothing to do with it. I've since sorta figured it out and around the time one person was banned lemon (not you) stopped showing up. She has yet to show up since. To put this into perspective my pack and I went threw months of being threatened sometimes with our lives, hacked, bullied, stalked, and being attacked. It got so bad at one point I disbanded my pack and unbuddied all my friends. so she couldn't find them. She went so far as to make me go on a tour with her of all my friends she planned to hack. She hacked one of my friends while this "tour" was happening right in front of me. I wish I could make this up but it's true. I still have an email from ajhq where they told me it was an impostor. Most of us are still fearful.
@@LeamonPuppy we think now that it's someone in the pack but we are Unwilling to do anything for fear of her attacking again. I own my pack. There's to many similar things that happened between this one person and "lemon"
I got hacked 2 times already, lost my rainbow spike, double tail, nutcracker boots etc. I just logged on one day to see everything gone, I didn’t even know two step certification was a thing honestly.. I CANT log into the parent account and I just emailed aj.. hopefully they fix it soon :(

And plus the 2 step code expires! As long as u stayed logged in on your acc and never have to re enter your pawsword then u never can get hacked! The only way only way for them to hack u is for them to know how to hack your parent tools and how to steal your phone I mean. That would be pretty hard

Did you enable it from a pc? I don't have one and AJ won't let me do it from IOS and android devices, it says parent account password is wrong even though it's not, and it won't let me change it either cause the website to change the password is literally useless, I get the email, I write new password, I confirm it in the second box then I press the button to submit it, and the button does nothing

It’s really sad that kids and teens have to be worried about getting hacked on Animal Jam. Why can’t we all just have fun and bring each other up? Not down. I think it’s really pathetic that people would seriously waste their time hacking a literal children’s game where kids just want to have fun. @@-Blaxe- Hate to say it, but people literally get paid from rares with REAL currency. I've seen people charge up to $20 for a rare on Instagram and they get paid from their PayPal account. And of course, there's been already cases of scammers who get paid and never trade the rare. It's ridiculous
remember to turn 2 factor authentication on, it makes your account very easier to keep safe, even if it is annoying to log in

A couple of months ago, a _whole_ bunch of my buddies were getting hacked, and I had no idea what to do about it! I kept telling my buddies to turn on 2-step and to change their passwords, but sadly, they didn’t know how, and they had to switch accounts.

The fact that Animal Jam isn't doing anything about this (as usual) is really sad too. I've been trying to get in contact with ajhq for months now, especially here recently, to get them to help me change the attached email on my current aj account so I can have 2-step verification on my account, and of course the only response I got was a couple of automated messages telling me that they can't do anything. So I might have to make a new account and lose all of my animals. Nice.
The good news is that I've made a new account now with 2-step verification and transfered all of my good items on to it, and honestly, it just feels like a huge weight off my shoulders. Hopefully, with the help of the mini-games, I can re-purchase the coyote bundle, but if not, then thank you WW for making the fox and the My Shops actually accessable, it's one of the very few good things you've done recently lol

Normally you would want to hide your rares if you think a hacker is present, I know you normally dont know who they are but I noticed they talk in weird grammer and kinda sit there in a corner. Be careful

I start playing Aj a LONG time ago like back In 2016 and when I come playing it i noticed all my good items are gone (like black out spike, rainbow spike, ectect) and so does my pet collection

I was in a Discord server that involved hackers, and they STILL are, but they use two main websites.
These websites I will not name incase someone wants to visit them, they also are kind of phishing sites.
Basically, these will give a certain code and/or hash. The person then copies and pastes the hash to a site that decodes hashes (I don't know how, as hashes aren't typically able to be decoded), but that comes along with that player's password. They then try to see if the player has two-step and if they don't, they login. The player then loses everything.
I do want to note that they only do this to accounts that are inactive, so that AJ doesn't ban them.
I will not name the people, as I don't want them to be attacked, but they are out there.

as a person that was into that stuff, lemme tell you that method also works with active accounts that were leaked during the data breach. They usually target active players to get into their accs

Ohh yeah I know that server, I was really into that stuff back then. I've tried that method before but it barely works for me nowdays, most of the password I've found are old/outdated, since they've changed it because of the data breach or have been changed by aj. And they mostly target inactive accounts, because you can easily get banned when hacking actives, but some people still managed to hack actives too.

I remember coming up on a video that showed this when I searched up how to NOT get hacked. I remember 2 of the sites. One was breachdirectory and hashes. Idk if there was a third one but I saw in the comments in the vid abt ppl put peoples info in the comment section. They act like "haha stop getting so mad its just pixels 💀💀💀" but if that was REAL info they could've been in lots of trouble.
Also, make sure your email password is not the same as your AJ password.
yeah i quit aj about a year ago but check in periodically just to see what’s going on and when i checked in last night i found out that i got hacked and all of my rare clothing/den items/pets were gone, even my sapphires were gone. I wasn’t gonna do anything with the items anyways so i guess im glad someone else is getting some use out of them but it just sucks that it’s so easy to do that stuff. I ended up giving away the very few items they chose not to take bc i have no use for them

People use the old data breach from a few years ago to find passwords, my friend got scammed, some random person said they could "help get the items back" and said the scammers password. They also knew my old password... luckily since the breach all the passwords have been reset so just don't use the same password.

Yes there have been SO MANY backings in the past few months, more than in a long time. I’ve heard of 5-10 of my friends and their friends getting hacked and that’s just the ones that told me. I witnessed my friends animal jam account and her channel getting hacked and it was terrifying. I quit partly bc of this reason and I never want to go back to the community. It’s going downhill faster than ever.

ive actually met someone who did this, and would charge people animal jam items to share an account for a website supposedly made for “recovering your password” after it had been leaked, because of the data breach that happened a couple of years ago. so many people’s passwords are on them, as well as their username and the site it was breached from. it is very easy for people to get these passwords, so it’s definitely best to turn on 2FA and/or change your password
Yesss I was hacked the same way I lost 1k sapphires, the newest super box items, and MANY rares like, rainbow spike, blackout spike, white out spike, and so much more. I now have a new account with my you tube user with 2 step on and I actually am doing great for being hacked around just 2 or 3 months ago
So I haven't played AJ in a long time because of ROblox. When I tried logging back in with the CORRECT SAVED PASSWORD. I didn't work! So now I'm scared someone hacked me even though I shared none of my info to anyone!
I know how this happened. i used to hack animal jam accounts for fun back in middle school, im older now and know better, but i still feel guilt till this day. The thing is, if you havent logged into your account in a long time, it means you probably havent changed the password either. Since the data breach that happened a while back, maybe like a year or two ago, you know a lot of animal jam players information was leaked. This includes passwords.
Im not going to go onto full detail because i dont want anybody else using this method, but there are places online where you can get codes from old accounts where you just search up the username, and you have to de-code the random numbers and letters. Once you do that gives you the full password, now it dosent work that often nowdays because people have been changing their passwords and it happened so long ago, but for people who haven't been on in awhile this is a real issue.
I hope this sheds some light on the topic, but make sure to change your passwords. And do NOT give out account information to ANYONE.
edit: No they cant hack your account again unless another data breach happens, them "sneaking" into animal jams data base without a data breach is a myth. And trust me, if there was another data breach, we would know. those things are a big deal.
there isnt really any other way for you to get hacked other than this way or giving your account information to someone else. You have nothing to worry about if you change your password. This is why you have to keep a look out for data breaches, you want to change your information from that account immediately after that happening. The data breach gets the information from the time it was breached. So the hacker may have your old password, but wont be able to get into your account, because those kinds of things dont update unless, like i said, another data breach happens. stay safe!
I got hacked actually- and I never realized it. I had forest and a bread hat for a while and i join one day and they were gone, confused I thought it was glitched. After a few months most of my good items were missing so i changed my password. It genuinely sucks and i hope it does not happen to any more people

Okay so, if this actually is a serious problem where AJHQ themselves are trying to fix it, they’ll be SUPER helpful. If you lose any items, tell them you got hacked, and that your items were lost. Tell them each of the items you lost, and specifics about them ex color or paint seed potion on them or something. They’ll transfer the items back into your account. AJHQ is very understanding, and they actually helped me get back my first ever AJPW account. If worse comes to worse and you do end up getting hacked, they’ll help

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I legit lost so much and so many good memories I didn’t really care that I lost my rares (besides my tan headdress) but they took all my amazing art that had sentimental value to me. That’s just completely messed up. I cried for 3 days straight because of it. I changed accounts but I have bad anxiety that I just always turn off my account and disable everything

I got hacked once on AJC, it was horrible. I had so many valuable items on my account and they were just gone one day. Someone got into my account and recycled them to gems and then changed my fox to all black. They didn't even trade them! Just got rid of them! I didn't even give my password out to anybody or anything. Im still upset about it to this day.
Btw I saw aggrix today in the alpha peck hideout. Aparntly he meets up with a group of girls (I think) and does a pack run. They meet up around 2:20 or 2:30

i used to get hacked a whole lot before 2fa, about 7 times- im currently on my fifth account after being banned twice too
My entire account pretty much gone and AJ did nothing.. I sent emails and they said anything after 30 days was unable to be tracked and gave no compensation. Had my acc since 2016

Me and my "friends" used to hack (in)active people, they didn’t regret anything about it, but I did. One of their mains even got banned since they hacked a few active users. Well, I also hacked some accounts, but only inactives. I still feel guilty about this, but everytime I hacked someone I just regretted it after a little time. Luckily I didn’t get banned, since I didn’t really took all of the items/pets from the accounts I‘ve hacked, I even left some good things on the accounts because I felt too bad. They may wasted so much time and possibly money for the sapphires / items. If I‘m honest, I may just took some items that I was looking for, yet I didn’t take most of the items my victims had. It took me just a week to quit hacking, I’m honestly glad I made this decision
I’m just working up on my stuff, unlike others hacking or scamming people. Most of the hackers/scammers don’t even feel bad nor think about the time or money that got wasted for the items/ sapphires. I see that most people don’t buy membership with real money anymore since shops exist, but still, they may did when shops didn’t exist
Also whenever you feel like you’re not safe from hackers, I recommend to transfer your sapphires, items etc to another account or multiple ones, it may prevent hackers to take the items you wasted ur time on
just a heads up they can still get in your account but it is ridiculously hard to with two-step enabled but if Animal Jam added an option of a physical security key in the two step authentication it be pretty impossible for hackers to try to get your account if you're wondering what a physical security key it is a physical USB drive that connects with your devices, including computers and laptops, to prove identity to access specific resources on a network.I also recommend looking up more about physical security keys because there are some for mobile ones too they should also add Microsoft app authentication well as Google one to provide more optio to be honest email authorisation method they use it is kind of bad AJ does need to take their security a bit more seriously to their website/game if they ever do add options i recommend the security key method another thing with security keys there is also an option to converting some USB stick into one

Bro 2 step saved my account I suggest everyone to get it
I think this method wouldn't had been leaked if everyone was forced. My father changes my password and his account's password monthly, he is a pretty lazy guy. So if i ever log out he doesn't wanna just go back into outlook and see the code again, I think if your just too lazy to turn on 2 step, then just reset your password alot (i recommend daily or weekly) if its too annoying, then you may get hacked. Oh and have a strong and long but rememberable password, write it in your secret diary or on a secret slip of paper if you cant remember! Only show it to your parents if they need your pass though.

Если вы хотите попробовать почувствовать себя настоящим на русском сервере - смело туда идите, но будьте готовы. На вас могут смело напасть и обворовать, назвать вором за попрошайничество. I used to switch between Spanish and English servers daily and one day parent account just stopped working, and the website to change the password of it too

Should I just make a new account? I still have my current one that I’ve had for years but aj says there’s no email associated with the account but whenever I forgot my pass when I was younger and we still had the email, i was able to reset it. Can’t really do that anymore.
Update: I made a new account transferred all my stuff into that account still kinda bummed cuz my level on my now spare is 34 and I have a bunch of dens and animals (Ngl I’m more upset about loosing my favorite dens than animals) but I am enjoying a “fresh start”
My friend (Miles) got hacked by my best friend (Lea). She found out Miles username, and she had prior hacking knowledge. So when Lea heard Miles ripped someone off she hacked Miles. I was framed and it was awful. Me and Miles are in good terms now. She didnt have 2 step verification on. I did so I didn't get hacked after I confronted Lea. Some people are awful so never give out ur info.
Almost a year ago, I login to my account on Animal Jam again (because I took a break from playing it for 6 months). But when I got in the game, my Capybara was black with red eyes. I thought it was nothing, so I put my Capybara back to normal. When I looked to see my pet Stegosaurus and guess what? It's gone. I looked at my dens and mostly of my dens that are not in game anymore are gone also. Only left with two, my normal den and my mystical den. Lucky, my den items, clothes, saps, and animals (expect Capybara) are all fine and unharmed. At that time, I was pissed that they deleted my dens and my pet Stegosaurus but it didn't effect me much now. My account was 3 years old and I have never gave away my password to anyone. To this day, it still questions me who hacked my account, but I turned on my Two-Factor Authentication just to be safe. It's annoying, but it's worth it for the protection of my account. I've turned on 2-step verification before but my problem is that after I turn it on I have to log into my account again use the verification code. I don't mind that but my problem is that no matter how many times I type in the verification code, it says it's incorrect. I even tried copying and pasting it. So i kept reseting it but everytime I got the same result to the point where I just completely disabled it.

I'm so paranoid about getting hacked that I'm supper incredibly cautious with my account. I turned on step-2 identification and everytime I even think I was almost hacked I change my password. One time, while I was playing the game a few weeks ago, I get an email requesting to login to my ajpw account even though I was already playing the game? I got so nervous that changed my password immediately afterward
Oh my god not again! I was hacked a while back and lost my account, im so rich now in play wild that id be so pissed if i got hacked again

i remember one time activating 2 factor auth on discord but ended desactivating it since i dint understand how it worked, even if i put the correct code it dint enter, im not sure what i was doing so. i desactivated it

I made my account ages ago like 9 years ago so it was on my mums email and we don’t know how to change the emails, which is why I don’t have 2 factor auth since it’s just a hassle for her to have to give me the password every time
I got hacked just like this and I had a really simple pass so it could of been ether of these hacking methods. Rip my python and rip goodboy

Gosh, I'm kinda scared ngl, it won't let me make a parent account for my AJPW account.. It always says: "try again later" or smth like that.. 😥😓 so I cant enable parent controls I'm pretty sure..

I told my mom and dad to make me the 2-step thing, but they said "Nah don't worry, you wont get hacked." But I never got hacked.

I have nightmares about getting hacked. Im not that scared of loosing my items, i actually am more scared of loosing my green pet Parrot named fuzzybird.... He is based off of a real parrot i hv and i have made lots of memories with him in game. He is the only green parrot ive seen in the game, and he feels special cuz i have a long story of how i got him. I would probably have a bigger chance of quiting if i lost him rather than my best items (double tail, ice drag wings, alphas etc)....

Yeah, I think I got hacked recently. My rare forest gauntlets, double tail, rainbow spike, and more are gone. I've contacted ajhq but I don't think I'll get my items restored.
You know what I typically call hackers?
Lazy people with no patience to actually work to get the things they want themselves. That’s all hackers are. Not criminal masterminds. Just stupid people who don’t have lives of their own.
Well my hacker didn't trade away my stuff, they recycled them. So objectively I think that's worse knowing those items are gone forever
@@MarsMakes gosh, I feel like that's even more messed up because they didn't even do it to benefit themselves or anyone else, they just made the items go poof just to be cruel..

maybe contact AJHQ or submit a ticket, within a week they usually should respond or help you

I went on animal jam today and it was completely fine! My items, rares/favorite items are fine! I haven't seen one of my buddies for quite a long time.
I start playing Aj a LONG time ago like back In 2016 and when I come playing it i noticed all my good items are gone (like black out spike, rainbow spike, ectect) and so does my pet collection
As an ex-hacker it’s scary how easy it is to hack, but it’s actually kinda ajhqs fault ofc hackers are bad people, but we get all the info mostly from data breaches, it actually is hard however, if u have seen an explanation video u can tell how we do this, also my apologies for being a hacker, it was a long time ago, and I stopped, I regret hacking so sorry, also the fact that ajhq isn’t doing anything is upsetting
Hacking groups have actually existed for a long time, (I don't mean the famous ones like mighty squad or whatever) hackers make those groups to do lots, share hacking methods, programs that let them steal info, ect. And with the convincency of discord they gradually moved from older chatting sites to there. I also assume there are servers with a mix of scammers and hackers.
I also get why some people wouldn't put on 2 step authentication, If you switch from Playing ajpw on PC to mobile alot like me, you have to put in your password alot since aj makes u do that when you play on a different device. But still, be careful!
I had 2 factor on and my hacker bypassed it. there's some program that can hack without even trying. i lost 128 sugar gliders on play wild. Then oddly they said sorry and returned them so I have no idea what happened.

@@LeamonPuppy we my pack had been dealing with this person for months we originally thought it was a girl who goes by lemoncandyofficial (she stole one of my sugar gliders in december i spent months hunting said glider i managed to get him back in april) but when I fully reported them to ajhq, I was told it was an impostor. So she had nothing to do with it. I've since sorta figured it out and around the time one person was banned lemon (not you) stopped showing up. She has yet to show up since. To put this into perspective my pack and I went threw months of being threatened sometimes with our lives, hacked, bullied, stalked, and being attacked. It got so bad at one point I disbanded my pack and unbuddied all my friends. so she couldn't find them. She went so far as to make me go on a tour with her of all my friends she planned to hack. She hacked one of my friends while this "tour" was happening right in front of me. I wish I could make this up but it's true. I still have an email from ajhq where they told me it was an impostor. Most of us are still fearful.
@@LeamonPuppy she also stalked me on other social media platforms (Instagram). I have no clue how she got my information but she did.
@@LeamonPuppy we think now that it's someone in the pack but we are Unwilling to do anything for fear of her attacking again. I own my pack. There's to many similar things that happened between this one person and "lemon"

I got hacked 2 times already, lost my rainbow spike, double tail, nutcracker boots etc. I just logged on one day to see everything gone, I didn’t even know two step certification was a thing honestly.. I CANT log into the parent account and I just emailed aj.. hopefully they fix it soon :(

Same thing happned to me i stopped playing for 3 years i had some decent items and i lost all my animals and rares, it hurt my tonthe point of crying, i had lots of good pets and somegood animals. I lost lots of memories, and it hurtful.

And plus the 2 step code expires! As long as u stayed logged in on your acc and never have to re enter your pawsword then u never can get hacked! The only way only way for them to hack u is for them to know how to hack your parent tools and how to steal your phone I mean. That would be pretty hard

edit: I just enabled it! now I'm safe from hackers! yay! :D
Did you enable it from a pc? I don't have one and AJ won't let me do it from IOS and android devices, it says parent account password is wrong even though it's not, and it won't let me change it either cause the website to change the password is literally useless, I get the email, I write new password, I confirm it in the second box then I press the button to submit it, and the button does nothing
