This was yet another fantastic Vlog G the scenery along the route was absolutely stunning especially when it’s all covered in snow despite the muddy condition along this route it definitely looks like somewhere where I would personally walk I continue to enjoy watching theses types of Vlogs G when you go for a walk on a walking route until your next Vlog G carry on being awesome keep up the good work take care and stay safe and I look forward to seeing where you end up next
One for the drier months I think, luckily neither of you fell trying to navigate the quagmire of mud at the end, 'just put one foot in front of the other ', great advice G 😉😀. Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.
Fantastic walk that's lovely following that route thanks for sharing with us as always G sorry u had to deal with all that mud in your new trainers! 🙄 🙂
Wow, what a long walk! Marvellous shots. Get yourself some decent hiking boots then all that mud and ice becomes less of an issue, your feet will stay warm and dry all day, and you will be able to have more fun splashing in the mud and puddles. Great vlog, great day out, what a lovely adventure, Ray x
The box with dials in the pub looks like a maritime weather station. One looks line a Barometer (air pressure) and the other could be a thermometer or hydrometer (humidity). Some sets also have clocks built in. Probably more ornamental than authentic. A cheap pair of safety shoes is ideal for walking muddy paths. Waterproof and good grip. You can wash the mud off when you get home.
I use my work boots for walks like that. My 30 quid Screwfix specials 😅 plain black steel toe caps, but comfy as hell with the ankle support and nice interior, 100% waterproof, grippier sole than any of the walking boots I've ever owned, and when you get home caked in mud you just throw a load of hot water and a sponge on it. Best boots ever for muddy walks. They don't need breaking in either, they're good to go out the box 😀
Was a really fun walk. I mean cleaning our shoes after was sure a nightmare, but I loved the walk anyway. Very beautiful. Maybe when its less muddy, I'd recommend it to others, eh? 🤣🤣
Many moons ago, before it became the Bolin Valley Way and there were no bridges across the river at the Macc end, I used to have to clamber across the pipe (0.42) to cross the river on my walk to school.
For anyone who comes across a path like this that's nearly impassible, contact the local council's Rights of Way Officer and log a complaint. It won't be fixed overnight, but if it's dangerous on a fairly well maintained route like this, it might get some action from a maintenance team.
Hi and well done the pair of you, especially traversing those Poot Faths...😁 If you'te going to ruin a new pair of shoes, ruin them properly...get's my vote...😅
You and Lucy sure had quite the walk with all that mud lol. I dunno whats worse, when it's very muddy or when it's very icy? lol. This was a brilliant video and plenty of good laughs in this one.
Ha I love this. Once I saw you didn't have wellies on I was actually quite concerned lol. Beautiful sights, nice walk. My wife would love this muddy journey!
I bought my first wellies in 40 years today. Muck Boots(some are half price on their website atm). Did 6 miles through mud straight after puttin em on. Perfect, Hopefully my days of ruining new trainers all the time end now
Maybe you should have dipped your shoes in the flowing water towards the end, and they would have been clean in no time lol 😂 but I think getting a pair of wellies would be a good idea before you do another walk like that along a muddy path Hope Louse is okay after that fall
@@GLovesTrains that's quite a distance to walk end to end though 😲 have you done that and if you haven't, would you potentially do either the full thing or from from where you ended in this video to Partington or is that too much?
Wonderful wintry walk but will you buy some flippin wellies…my anxiety is through the roof watching your new shoes die…hope you managed to revive them. Hope Lucy is ok after her fall…but it was actually very funny…sorry Lucy 😂😂xx
im no prized halfwit for ruining shoes i probs ruined me current ones walking over mood at Roundhay park when i went to the derelict church and while leaf removal was taking place with a massive tractor and trailer a street hoovery thing hoovering back and forth and a tiny tractor shove dumping leaves into a pile aswell as seeing an ice cream van out in January witch made me think i was going completely nuts hate boggy mood n all though im daft enough to treck up the bloody huge hill to the lake thats steep as absolute hell doesnt look steep but once you start walking up it doesnt half get steep i was even dreading falling over on me arse for some daft reason last pair of shoes i had are probably by now binned after i ruined the hell out of them witch is why im not so keen on walking through mood much now
Such a lovely walk I used to live not far away in Poynton. Another great walk near the Bollin Valley walk which is the Middlewood Way.
Lovely time had by all despite the cold weather, I enjoyed the walk you took us all on. Kind regards Mark-Edwyn 🚂🚃🚃
Great video 👍🏻

Ah thanks Peter!
Your videos always make me smile, G. Keep up the good work, even the outtakes!
Yes, I think a pair of wellies would be a good investment. 😊
Do that walk again in summer, on a nice dry warm day, it will be beautiful. Your a brave lass Lucy 😊
That was one hell of a walk, especially in the ice and mud! The outtakes were extremely funny! Great Video G!

May I suggest investing in some walking boots. Would be a wise idea and perfect for conditions like you experienced in this video.
looked a nice walk that apart from the mud.

Yeah cleaning... your worst nightmare innit 😂 the flowing water was very beautiful 😍
@GLovesTrains not as beautiful as you baby 😍
@@LucyMichela get a room you two 😜
Love this walk; I've fallen over like Lucy many times. Happy and blessed New Year to you both.
Haha thanks Simon!
Excellent vlog, G! There was some really nice winter light as well. Everyone better start doing yoga to get flexible enough to get round all that mud!
Haha yeah nice winter light at the end 😂 thanks barrowc!
A very good Tuesday evening young lady from Alan in Lowestoft huni buni xx 😘

A beautiful walk. 🙂
Absolutely magic! You know my usual request, and you're delivering 😊 Into February, and roll on Spring! Safe travels & new shoes 😉
Perhaps you should of had a pair of old shoes or boots with you. Have to say it does look really nice. Loving the humour as always. 😄

Loool! Think Louse has fallen since to take her mind off it 😂
It looks like a lovely walk G but you'd be better off with a good sturdy pair of walking boots.😀
I think you definitely needed wellies there, and I'm not sure if I've misperceived that that ends in Partington in Trafford Greater Manchester 😂😂
Yeah that is where it ends 😀
