I just bought a nice little used Toyota Yaris. Makes its own gas. Been driving over a month on the tank the dealership put in when I bought it, so help me God. I am in love with this car.
Looks like the meat market is taking a page out of the fuel industry's book - create a "shortage" and make a profit on it.

That's the bigger issue that they don't have to workers to meet demand for orders. That really screws u up in wait times etc. Far more impactful to income than a 50cent rise in gas prices. Delivery profits for a driver are all about getting the order done quickly and moving on to the next one.
The beef issue won't really be an issue for drivers. It's already taken care of. Really stretching for a topic on this one. And the rising inflation may actually stimulate more people to do a side gig like delivery to make some extra bucks. Especially now that stimulus and unemployment benefits are expiring.
Sure but the changes in beef price won’t be reflected in restaurant prices until a month from now - and really tough to guess what the impact will be as even a small issue in the supply chain can have a noticeable impact.
In Ohio the Gov. is stopping the federal $300 wk. supplement on 26 June. As you say the other benefits will be running out soon after all over the nation. I imagine there will be no more driver shortages for any gig work. I’m guessing it will be one of the first jobs lots of people will grab after sitting home for a year. (Just guessing, though) I agree the meat shortage issue is entirely moot now. It was like a 3 day slow down is all, as I understand it.

Although I neither trust that there's a lack of used vehicles nor the cost of them being higher, what makes more sense is the cost of them being higher.
The gas pipeline crap was already resolved.
Inflation is going to kill this gig job. Expect changes in how people will live more and more off the goverment.

Sure but you can’t really do that too much in a lot of the US, and in the winter, in the snow, forget it. In Cleveland it can snow for 6-7 mos straight.
