Tying the Flying Ant with Arrick's Fly Shop

This is one of my favorite ant patterns. In later August and early September we get flying ants on the area lakes and rivers. The fish love them, some of the best fishing I have ever had was on the Madison river when swarms of flying ants land on the water. I tie them in three colors; black, cinnamon, and two tone combo chestnut/ginger.
