Yeah, why the Osborne ass kissing (some kind of PR feel good stunt). Notice Fowler said the best team he has ever seen in his decades watching. What you wanna bet he didn't watch Neb 71.
Update: One of my dumber comments. Fowler was 9 in 71. Still an ass kissing stunt.

If there is a model of how a college football team is run for the past 40 years, Nebraska is it. Sure, there are national titles, great players, many conference titles they've won, but I bet you that the folks in Husker Nation and the state of Nebraska prefer their many (perhaps over 100) Academic All-Americans that their athletes have. And you can thank Coach Osborne for that.

Yeah but! If Neb had it to over again, one has to wonder if they would have said, Tom, we are hiring you to win football games, not become the Harvard of Div 1 football. The losing bowl record will always haunt his legacy for those evaluating a football coach for his #1 priority, to win football games. Once again, Osborne didn't get it right.

@@robjohnson8861 listen dumb fuck, stop stalking Nebraska videos. I've already warned you. You make it sound like he lost 30 bowl games. He was 12-13 in bowl games. Of the 13 losses, 9 were to higher ranked teams and 5 were to the eventual National Champion, with most in either their home stadium or home state. Give it a rest, you don't have a leg to stand on.

@@Rcknroler913 "You make it sound like he lost 30 bowl games. He was 12-13 in bowl games. " Neb fans always a parsing, always. So the fact that he didn't lose "30" bowls, means it was somehow a win in his favor. WTF! What matters: all those wins, what 255, were validated by his last OofC game which was a loss more than a win.
You said, " of the 13 losses, 9 were to higher ranked teams." Well, if he screwed the pooch with OU right before the bowl games, of course he would drop and would probably be ranked lower than his bowl opponent, unless they lost too. Still Ozzy's FU, just 1 game removed.
lol, lets take a look at the 12 bowl wins. Remember, we're trying to establish if he was a great coach, right? How many times was he ranked lower going into the bowl and won?
Of the 12, 3 times he was ranked lower and won.
So, the MAJORITY of the time when Ozzy was ranked higher he won, when he was ranked lower, he lost. How can he be considered great when 3 of the 12 wins, he beat the rankings but 9 of the 13 losses, he didn't beat the rankings. Great coaches overcome right?
In one of my many posts, I evaluate Osborne against Switizer and Bowden. Most of the time when entered the games against them ranked higher, he lost. When they entered ranked higher they won.
Regarding the home state, home field advantage, I disproved that horsesh*t false too. Assuming that the home team has a 3 to 7 point advantage, I chose 7, Osborne still woul d have lost the majority of those games.
      you are again, a clown.
