- How to clean a Britton and Stratton carburetor. Most of the time if the mower wont start, its due to a dirty carburetor. (Other times it's because of the spark plug, loose cable or you forgot to put gas in the tank!)
Cleaning the engine's carb every year (for high use mowers) or every other year (for small yards) is recommended.

What do you do when you have a customer that won't stop using ethanol gas ...( sometimes you can't fix stubbornness)
and yes we have 2 stations in town that sell non ethanol fuel. I have her mowers ( walk behind and a rider) in my shop just about every 4 to 5 weeks
I don’t think it’s stubbornness, I think she’s looking for a reason to come into your shop every month to see you! Ha
That sound at 00:10 was music to my ears!
It is really satisfying after doing all the work!
Genius!
*I got as far as pulling the carburetor and said, "Nope." I treat this machine as recommended and it rewards me with carburetor level antics? Nope. I'll go electric or get one of those pushing blade thingy. Or we should all get rid of lawns it's literally wasting our water supply. That's how much I hate fixing carburetors.*
You were halfway there just taking out the carburetor! It does involve some work, but it’s a great feeling to get something working again that was broken
@@DadHacks *Yeah, it is... right after I replaced the magneto, pull cord, control wire, and semi-annual plug/filter replacement. But now I'm messing with the carb and it's like when will this machine work when I need it? It owns ME now. It has it's own garage. LOL*
