Unfortunatly the 3 or 4 well known brand that have been manufacturing this motors for tape decks, are not longer producing them. Also, people interested on trying it again should take notes on simple mechanisms that were still low W&F, long life and just a bit more complicated than the average cheap tamashin thing, The ones used y JVC Hitachi Fisher on the bottom line soft touch decks. I think this is good enough to selll the ilusion of a "cassette come back"

They should make a full size version though - wouldn't add a whole lot to the cost to put on a bigger platter and put everything in a bigger cabinet. I been searching for a player the likes of this one for sometime. What I like about your reviews is that you don't spend 7 to 10 minutes unboxing the equipment like others do. That's boring and I don't care how it comes in the box and how shiny and glossy the pictures appear on the box. That's just filling in without content. What I want to know is how well the equipment plays. Your reviews are informative, concise, unbias and the fact that you purchased the player without it being a free promotion is impressive. Thank you for a great review. Best regards.
My niece (22 Y.O.) was talking about getting into records, and was considering starting with a record player before deciding to go "all-in" on an expensive turntable. THIS is what I am gonna recommend! This seems to be about the best "budget" record player available right now. Hell, I might get one myself! My 1970s vintage DUAL 510 and an amp + speakers would be NO FUN to take out to a cookout! LOL.
@user-qj4dx4fc3n Yes, you're right about that. Although, I think it should not be that difficult to replace the rechargeable battery in the Revolution Go; so if you like the advantage of having a battery powered record player over the advantage of having a fully automatic one, the Revolution Go still is a valid choice I guess.
@user-qj4dx4fc3n Yes and also, if I am not mistaken, it doesn't have bluetooth transmit, which (for me anyways) is a very neat feature when "connecting" it to my stereo set.
I ordered one of these for my son. You have color choice of black, green or blue trim. I did pay 149.00 for mine on amazon but i tested everything and it does everything you said. Will be a good starter turntable for my son and i like that you can hook up to an external amp.
Loving mine! Note, though...if it's cold in the room, it starts out sluggish. I have a space heater in the room where I listen, so that the player and I are both comfortable. I'm sluggish when it's cold too. Highly enjoyable player! Also great for dubbing. I copied Dana Gillespie's "Foolish Seasons" to my computer, and it's excellent!
Wow, how cool is that!!! I really don't need a record player, BUT, I may buy it as a backup....or just that fact that it has great features. And yes, they should've at least added a foam pad for the platter. The RCA line-out in the back is OK for hooking up to a computer if you want to record a record to digital, but they could've also added a USB line-out "for" computers if you wanna go that route. Overall, for $99.00 that's an excellent price for what you get...and then some!!! Thanks for posting and sharing my friend. Love your videos! 👍👍 Might buy it anyway now just for the price alone, very tempted!
The auto-cueing is impressive - going back 5 seconds is something I use all the time when playing CDs, now if they could just add a remote-control with back 5s/10s button. :)
That's brilliant! Seems no manufacturer of even expensive turntables can be bothered to design an automatic turntable. The lengths they went to years ago with complicated mechanisms but now it's just a stepper motor and a microcontroller costing a few pounds/dollars. My £800 Technics is quite luxurious as it lifts the stylus off at the end but it doesn't move it to start playing nor does it stop the motor or return the tonearm.
Absolutely perfect. it was speeding up and slowing down, easily visible and audible. Not much you can do about it at this price point; the DC motor needs some sort of servo device attached to the motor otherwise the motor keeps on accelerating, that's why better belters use synchronous motors with a lot of poles. The speaker isolation was a cheap way to sort of, I repeat sort of isolate them from the cabinet which basically makes them free air. Better if the platter was isolated and the box sealed or ported.
This is something i might just purchase. It's quite impressive for a little machine. Now they need to make a full-size version with a full dust cover or lid, which can be fully automated at the touch of a button. Thank you for this very interesting little item and of course, your great explanation of benefits.
Was thinking about what to buy for my first record player for quite a while now, and your video just appear 30mins ago lol. Very impressive for something not bank/wallet emptying. Will be checking it out when it's available in my local Amazon region. Currently it's only on US Amazon selling for $149 without prime I think? I didn't log in to find out.
This is awesome. The only thing I might add would be a line input. The company could offer a portable CD player with line out to pair with it, although a Bluetooth model would work with it as is. If I didn't already have a good turntable, I would jump on this.
This looks like good fun. I'm impressed with the automatic function being seperate from the turntable motor but it could well have been an easier design to do that way.
I suspect it is easier. Motors used to be expensive, which is why they wanted to drive everything off of one motor. But they aren't expensive anymore, at least not enough to justify a complicated mechanism. That's my guess anyway.
Works better that way. A belt drive doesn't deliver enough torque to drive the automatic feature. That was the failure with the Auto-stack changer in the early 2000s. All the vintage changers from the 1950s to 70s were either idler drives or hybrids with AC synchronous motors.
@@dougbrowning82 The late 80s and early 90s had a lot of auto returns that would belt driven but yes a new stacker was long gone by then. The auto drives seems to put quite a bit of strain on the idlers as well as I recall.
According to the FCCID there are made by Alllike Electronic Co out of Dongguan. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they sell generic versions on Aliexpress and the like so availability outside of the US? Wouldn't hold my breath. :(
this is a nice machine! I still have the music public kingdom one you absolutely sold me on getting in 2021 lol. Still works great and the speed stability on that thing is almost as good as my LAB linear quartz locked direct drive
At least there’s a company putting effort into making an automatic record player in the hundred dollar range, but I wish they sell these in stores and not solely online since they need to compete with Crosley record players that are in store shelves!
I have no need for one, but it looks much better than what is on the market. I still prefer a standalone record player, but this could still act as one.
They raised the price! 😭 (Word is getting out!) Do you still think it's a good deal @ $150? I mainly want to transfer my old vinyl into my PC, but it's also nice to have a stand-alone player that I can move from room to room if I get the itch to spin a disc.

The speaker isolation was a cheap way to sort of, I repeat sort of isolate them from the cabinet which basically makes them free air. Better if the platter was isolated and the box sealed or ported.
This IS quite remarkable for an admittedly fair price point
I really hope this makes its way to the UK at some point, I’d love one of these. Great review. 😊
9:44 - There appears to be an *electric shock warning* badge on the lower-right!
This is something i might just purchase. It's quite impressive for a little machine. Now they need to make a full-size version with a full dust cover or lid, which can be fully automated at the touch of a button. Thank you for this very interesting little item and of course, your great explanation of benefits.
Very impressive! Loads of features, and reasonable sound, for a fair price.
That forwards and backwards is brilliant 👍
Absolutely amazing, especially at that price point… thanks for the video Kevin, well done!!!
Unique designed, Fully automatic with all features beautiful look, no doubt unmatched..
The newest edition has a repeat button on it. I was pleasantly surprised
This is the best record player I've seen in decades.
It is certainly the best that you could get for $99 👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazon is already showing this at $159.99 - may have gone up as a result of Christmas or just your glowing review.
I would say this is actually a very nice record player. You know it looks like it's something I would purchase
Looks like you have found a hidden gem. Thanks for sharing!
I love this Command Stereo Check Out record; I don't often hear recordings with such dynamics.
According to the FCCID there are made by Alllike Electronic Co out of Dongguan. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they sell generic versions on Aliexpress and the like so availability outside of the US? Wouldn't hold my breath. :(
Impressive and a great price. Nice build quality too.
this is a nice machine! I still have the music public kingdom one you absolutely sold me on getting in 2021 lol. Still works great and the speed stability on that thing is almost as good as my LAB linear quartz locked direct drive
I just loved it all! What a nice video, Kevin! Thanks once again for it :) ♥
Love all your videos my friend
Yes, a rare occasion of enthusiasm. I was kinda hoping for a toslink, since the analogue audio anyway gets digital, but mangled, for bluetooth.
Can you please show the power plug and voltage specs for international buyers
The power supply is universal voltage, 100-240V.
@@vwestlife Interchangeable plug pins or NA-specific?
At least there’s a company putting effort into making an automatic record player in the hundred dollar range, but I wish they sell these in stores and not solely online since they need to compete with Crosley record players that are in store shelves!
Not bad at all. Looks like one of the best new record players you can get now.
The brass on the Vaughn Munroe song was amazingly bright.
I have no need for one, but it looks much better than what is on the market.
I still prefer a standalone record player, but this could still act as one.
I was struggling on what to ask Santa for this year.
Now, I know EXACTLY what I'm asking for...
They raised the price! 😭 (Word is getting out!) Do you still think it's a good deal @ $150? I mainly want to transfer my old vinyl into my PC, but it's also nice to have a stand-alone player that I can move from room to room if I get the itch to spin a disc.
This is a very cool record player, and in typical Amazon fashion they raised the price today after your video went live!!
Only by $5.
