Another way to do this is to use USBUTIL , create game from iso to anywhere on your pc, then once its done right click on the new iso file within the USBUTIL application and click rip iso , then select the directory of your FAT32 usb and rip GAME/ISO to there . For some reason it cut down my bully iso to about 3.5 GB from 4.3GB but the game works fine, i think it builds the file in the USB rather than moving it which is why this can be done.

I have question about the shortcut method. Will it work with a PKG file that has a rap file and the name of the PKG is a bunch of letters that make no sense and creating a folder with that "nonsense name"? I am short on space and don't want it being taken up by ps3 by creating 2 files. I use to have to delete the pkg file in the packages folder in the HDD0 when using another method
you can call a pkg file whatever you want as long as it ends in .pkg (lower case) a pkg is a container, it just "holds" the program/game whatever.... when the game installs it will install to its correct location and install the files where they belong, so when the rap installs , the game will still work regardless of pkg name.

I know this probably won’t get a reply as it’s an old video but when I’m trying to copy the game to the internal hdd I just keep getting this operation is not allowed
Excellent video man! The only question I have is what do you do after you have installed a .pkg file through the Package manager and you try to launch the game. I downloaded God of War Collections. Installation went smooth however when I go to launch the game this message comes up "This content can be used if you renew the license to playstation store. " I am running HEN 4.84 PS3. I do not wish to sign into playstation network and risk getting banned. Thank you for the content and information you provide!
psn or pkg type games always require a rap file (or crack file) . So go to psndl.net , look up the specific game to see if its there and you can download just the rap file which is ultra small since you already have the game. You just need to make sure the rap file is for the EXACT version of the game you have by making sure the game I.D. is the same. So for example if G.o.W collection game I.D. is NPUB12345 you need to make sure the rap is for NPUB12345 and NOT NPEB12345 or NPEB11223. Believe me, you will see immediately the game id as that site list the game name along with the id right next to it, super easy. Then look up "how to use/insert rap files into ps3" . which is also pretty easy.
It doesn't come up with split for some reason. It is a 40 gigabyte game; (Assassin's Creed Collection), but if I press on it, it still loads the game as a emulated disc. I haven't launched it yet, because I'm putting it on to the hdd, but is it still good to play?
