      Love the format if you think about the fish it is a heck of a lot better than draggin fish around all day in the live well my home lake takes a beating all year every year. The elites drag these fish 70 miles one way from the lake to way in . And it takes a toll on these fish and the pressure to catch is a hall of a lot more stressful. I think they should all go to this format. And only the strong fishermen will survive already lost some hammers like Brandon. And Gerald haven't figured out who else yet but there are quite a few

    • @caseywabeke5394

      Ya the 99% release rate is SO bad. Catching 200 bass under 1 pound is SWEEET

    • @neoklahomawhitetaildonnyha9176
      @neoklahomawhitetaildonnyha9176 5 років тому +4

      I call bs on that release percentage. Do you watch these fish get released nope ya dont does conservation not appeal to you catch a bass let it go right back where it came from . . Some people it's all about the bragging rights look what I caught have you ever put 5 6 pounders in your live well an hour after your tournament starts and try to keep them alive all day its damn hard to do especially in June threw August.

    Pretty unreal event! As much as I hate being laid off this time of year, there’s no greater learning tool than to watch these events live! So glad The BPT went to a 2 lb. minimum weight! It should hush the “dink fest” haters! Props to the top 10 finalists! The final day coulda went either way! The shallow bite surprisingly died as the day went on. And amazingly JW found a school offshore that bit in the dirt. IMO the most exciting BPT live I’ve seen so far! Simply awesome!

      @Hollywood T I've won over 100k by fishing tournaments weekends over the last 15 years. I guess luck has as much to do with fishing as talent. But I don't think I would call it gambling . And I researched to discover that MLF is invitation only at this point but they are working on an entry level format to be in place hopefully in the next 3 years.

    BASS ARE BORING !!!!!!

  • @NoelLucas
    @NoelLucas 5 років тому

    Why, on EVERY hook set is it automatically a “biggin”, without first laying eyes on the fish? And it always is usually a 1, 2, or if they’re lucky, a 3-something? What happened to “biggin” being 6+? Drama queens like he and Ike for TV advertising, that’s what. They didn’t even scratch the surface of what that lake can do. 5-fish sacks of 30-40lbs are COMMON *IF* you don’t fish “Hollywood” style.

    • @L33T_killa

      Get out there and show us how big fella 👍🏻

    • @NoelLucas
      @NoelLucas 5 років тому

      Leon Budd I’m not saying I’m better than anyone. I’ve weighed 30+LB 5-fish sacks there in the mid-late 90’s, and won big fish a few times with 8+lb. I got out of tournament fishing because of the hoopla around pumping products. The silliness of every hookset “biggin” “biggin” gets to be a bit stupid after the first few times and it’s only a 1,2,or at best 3lb fish. I say 2-4 is a good one, 5 is a really good one, 6+ is “biggin” territory, 8+ is “GIANT” territory. The commercialization of the sport is hurting it. Fishing has and will always be about fun, spending quality time with your family in the outdoors. Period. Take that away, and it’s just another JOB. I’ll leave it at that.

  • @Madskillzpb

    • @NoelLucas
      @NoelLucas 5 років тому +1

      Darin Turbyville I agree. Tweak the format. Only allow their top 5 to “count”. Keep the rest the same. Release immediately. Am I the only one that thinks that’s a better way?

    • @L33T_killa
      @L33T_killa 5 років тому

      This is a highlight video dumb ass
      This format is better for the fish in my opinion
      The average mortality rate for 5 fish tournaments ranges from 43%-55%.
      Immediate release tournaments are going to replace the weigh in tournaments in the near future anyways

      Well, there's the no entry fee versus bass pay to play for starters. I personally enjoy both formats. Nice to have something new versus 5 fish, fishing the same lakes the same time of year. If you follow the industry, bpt has improved conditions at bass for the anglers along with giving a new group of guys a place to compete. Granite it cost 45k 50k a year to fish but well worth it if you can compete at that level. Both formats require a very high skill level. I personally fing bpt the most demanding mentality and physically. Unlike 5 fish you cant just pull up on your honey hole you found in practice and sit on it till they turn on. You will get your teeth knocked out with bpt. You have to fish the moment and change with the conditions. Bpt format to me truly showed wheeler's extremely high skill level at reading the water. What an incredible tournament. In a 5 fish that would have never unfolded. Bpt brings a completely different skill, the skill to catch fish ALL day throughout different conditions. Compilled by the fact the fish were in transition. Amazing. I get it. I too love bass. Been a member for 20 years and will be at the classic. Has all bpt decisions been right or even morally correct? Nope. Has bass? Nope. At the end of the day this is a business. Just my opinion. Tight lines
