OH MY GOD! You people should be up for Murder ONE, because you are KILLING ME over here! EVERYBODY in the house gave it their damnedest - their absolute BEST, and ya just don't find QUALITY, ATTENTION TO DETAIL and PASSION like that, ANYMORE! THANK YOU! I have a few B3s and a few pianos over here, Lachy and Clayton, and I want to play like YOU boys when **I** grow up. Meanwhile, I'll just keep plodding on in my own little corner of the world!
@@LachyDoley For YEARS, I tried like Hell to get the "Gospely" sound out of my playing style, but I decided to "just go with it", and it's in a part of every genre I play... Hang in there for an interesting bit of my musical heritage: While my mother was carrying me in utero, I heard this 9 yr old white boy play VERY heavy-handed black Gospel music on a screamin' Hammond C3 (LOUD Trek II Pre-amp!) w/ a Leslie 22R converted to a 122. From the time I was born, I heard him play 3 days/week 3 - 4 hours per day for the first 11 yrs of my life until we both moved out of state. 51 yrs later, the NEW pastor of that church contacted me and said, "Michael, do you want to buy this C3 from the church? I've been secretly following you on FB and UA-cam for 2 yrs and I know you worshipped THIS organ and the ground that Phil (the organist) walked on." Mind you, according to THEIR religion, I was going straight to Hell in probably at least a DOZEN different ways! Also keep in mind that, in THIS religion, their instruments were SACRED. I was never actually allowed to even TOUCH this instrument, but I have 34 keyboard instruments of my own, including 2 other Hammond/Leslie rigs. On Dec 31, 2019, I had the VERY FIRST instrument that made ANY musical note that I had ever heard in my entire life delivered to my music room. And, ya know what? Once I fired her up, it was the sound of THIS particular rig that I had been looking for over the past 42 years that I couldn't find in ANY other Hammond/Leslie rig! This particular Leslie has the sweetest ramps up/down that I have ever heard. Needless to say, the honeymoon is NOT over! My late-great lifelong music mentor and friend, Phil Willis, passed away from a sudden heart attack at the age of 57 eight years ago. I stood by his grave as the cemetery workmen / grave diggers lowered his casket into the ground. His family, as they did in life, had long abandoned him. I wouldn't leave Phil's side until I was certain that he wasn't coming back to me. I wanted to be the LAST person that stood by his side as he was lowered into the ground and I want to be the FIRST person standing by his side as he accepts his crown in Heaven. I've had to hitch my wagon to other bright stars since that day, my good man, and you're one of those Hammond organ bright stars! Thanks for keeping me afloat, and that's no small task!😁😁
We did it, we lured Lachy Doley to Yankee Land USA and this is going to open an entirely new chapter in the Lachy Doley story. Lachy's going to set the whole world on fire.
Мне 71, я старый меломан со большим стажем. Когда-то я сам играл на гитаре в студенческой группе. Вы для меня открыли новую страницу в музыке, спасибо за это и всяческих успехов!
All of it. All of you, the musicians, the mix, the song, everything. I am 59, been playing in bands and church, (guitar mainly) since I was 13 years old. I have an E112 with a 122 in my living room, lol. Going to catch your show when you get near here (Birmingham Alabama).
Never heard Karen Lee Andrews before. She has a unique voice but she also puts me in mind of Laura Creamer. Love the wide open sound of the organ with her voice. Killer. Many thanks.
Great performance - the Piano-Hammond organ duo reminds me the best connotations with Procol Harum and the choir in the background gives that "With a little help from my friends" feel :)
@@jutarzo the taste is unique for every person. Although I am not a huge fan of Joe's vocal, everyone have to admit that the chorus of With a Little Help From My Friends is just an iconic and unforgotable melody line and I clearly hear some kind of inspiration or at least feel of this chorus in this song :)
YESSS!!! The Doley Brothers! You guys, bros and band, sound great! I am super glad to see you brothers jamming! Wish I could have been there but thank you so much for sharing!
Dueling Doley’s. Monsters! Great song/nice “pipes”. My band got to open for the late great Billy Preston back in the day. He was “monsterious” too. 🌴😎🌈Aloha 🤙🏼
Check it out... Goosebumps, chills down my spine and a little teary. This was so frickin good. Wow Karen's voice got me. And that Piani... You don't hear enough music this good anymore. I'm loving my binge of this channel so far. What a great find.
I just found Lachy. To be honest, this is not really my kind of music, but this guy really hits it. All of the musicians in this set are really good. Well done.
"Get It While You Can" was written by record producer Jerry Ragovoy and Mort Shuman, and originally recorded by Philly soul singer Howard Tate. Both he and Janis had fantastic versions. I was supposed to go see Tate's comeback show in NYC, scheduled for sometime in mid September 2001 in NYC, but it was sadly cancelled! BTW, your brother is no slouch on the 88s and you have a lot going on without stepping on each other. Who's older?
Wow I thought Howard wrote this tune all along. I couldn't find any info on it. Thanks for this. Yeah clay is an awesome player!! He's my older brother and original inspiration
Wasn't she that kiwi woman on The Voice a few years back with that strange name? She looks and sounds familiar. Asking for a friend! 😊 Ahhh.. Miss Murphy!
Brother who I thought was one. Now I know of two. I think it was Clayton who I saw a few time playing with Harry Manx? You brothers are both brilliant piano players with there own style and personalities.. I hear the difference only now I know there are two.
Actually the song was written by,,,, Jordan "Jerry" Ragovoy he owned the Hit Factory Studio.. Howard sang it on his album.. produced in the hit factory.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Ragovoy
2 dislikes..whats not to like.. whats a matter with these people
Good to get the D Bros playing together again! 🤗🎶🎹🎵🎹🎶🤗
Oh my! Super performance! Clayton Doley? Musical lightning struck the Doley house twice! I wish I had 10% of that keyboard skill.
Yeah It was good thing mum bought us that Piano :-)
