- I've seen a lot of people asking about harnesses for those 3 activities. I've also seen people buying the wrong harness for a particular activity (I was one of those people years ago). While there are a lot of gear reviews online, I figure I could make a video starting from the vary basics for people interested in these activities. In this video I'm showing the differences in belay loop orientation, material of the harnesses (soft vs tough), how they sit on you (the shapes), and accessory loops.
Created with the #GoPro App on my iPhone.
Oops my caving harness D-ring was upside down. I was wrapped up in what to say and didn't pay attention.
I like information videos like this. I have a Petzl Adjama. It was used for tree access climbing. I now have tree motion essential, which is better suited for that type of climbing.
Keep up the great work!!
Thanks! Woah Tree Motional Essential looks way different from everything else. Thanks for sharing.
Good info, which is hard to get when watching the normal slew of youtube videos. Be prepared for "debate" about how to tie into a climbing harness!
I can send them to gym owners and certified climbing instructor and route setter Dan the man if they want to "debate" about it lol
I'm pretty sure on the caving harness the D-ring was upside down or twisted. At least that was how I understand caving harnesses in the UK. I'm just curious why you have it on that way.
Someone else had pointed that out to me yesterday 🤦🏻♀️. Usually I wear it with chest harness and the whole set up so would have caught it.
