I didn't realize that it was 10 divisions but sometimes I get into games with some people that's in silver 5 or even in bronze 1 or 2 (i'm plat 2 support). Wouldn't that mean silver 2 is the lowest I'm able to queue with? Also I cant queue with my friend that's silver 5 and I'm plat 5(tank). Are there any other requirements?
It's how it used to be before they added Wide Group. They did change the wording up so sometimes it may be wide after 5 divisions & other times it won't be, it's pretty confusing now since I was playing DPS, it was diamond 1 & he was Plat 2 but it wasn't Wide.
The requirements now are a little bit different: diamond and below is dynamic, typically between 5-6 divisions. For master and above is the same static rules we've had for the past couple seasons. At these ranks they only changed the threshold to be narrow ( 5 divisions for Master- Gm and 3 divisions for Champion). And there is another thing: open que is currently not using the wide grouping rules.
