Hello sir . The explanation was really good . It was really useful for finding the hypotenuse ( pythagoras theorem ) . I was really confused and couldn't really get the knack of finding the square root . This video helped a lot .

Thank you, thank you , thank you. This is how I was taught to do this in grade 9 in 1970. I forgot the formulae over time and needed it when I became a carpenter, but by then the calculator had been invented and nobody remembered the formula anymore. It's very simple, BUT only if you know your multiplication tables. Which I do, because I went to school before the calculator was invented. I can can easily imagine the correct number to enter in the equation. I haven't tried this in 50 years, but I solved all three in less than 20 seconds.

He did not ask for the answer, he asked how to do it. The method is very well explained in the vid. You, from the dec point divide the figures into groups of 2, thus: 1 18 81. The sqrt of 1 is 1. Square it and write under the 1. Subtract, you get 0. Bring down the next group beside the 0. Your remainder is 18. Multiply your currant root by 20. 1 x 20 = 20. That is your divisor into the 18. So your second digit in your root is 0. Bring down the next group, and your remainder becomes 1881. Multiply your currant root 10, by 20 = 200, that is your new divisor. Looks like the next digit in your root is 9. Add the 9 to the 200 and multiply by 9 = 1881. Which is exactly the same as the remainder. So the exercise is over, because there is no new remainder to deal with, so the answer is an even 109.
