Fact you dropped this on Super Bowl Sunday is impressive 😂
🤞🤞
I'm an old school gal taught by an old school mom. Nothing beats good ole fashion flour for me! It's not just the crispy-ness. It's also the taste and your comments about how the one with corn starch tasted different sealed the deal for me! LOLOL
I always add Cornstarch to my flour when frying chicken. Also for Chicken fried Steak. Thanks for your alternatives.
🤝🤝
Me too
For really pretty chicken, I season my chicken with Sazon as well as use it to season the dry flour mix or wet batter. Use Sazon con Azafran or Sazon with coriandar & Annatto.
I use a Korean fried chicken mix you can get at H Mart or online which have a combo of flour and corn starch in it. But I add a bit more of corn starch and add extra of my own seasoning in there like chicken or beef Dasida (it’s a Korean seasoning similar to bullion). Double fry the chicken wings and VOILA. Hope this helps.
Yumm
Hey Matt! Just wanted to drop a quick note to say how much I enjoyed your latest video on finding the crispiest chicken wing method. Your thorough experimentation and honest taste test really made for an engaging watch! I appreciated how you walked us through each step, from the brining process to the homemade ranch dressing and quick buffalo sauce. And the final reveal of the potato starch method being the crispiest was both surprising and informative. Keep up the fantastic work, looking forward to your next culinary adventure!
Thank you!! I really appreciate that!
I mix corn starch, baking powder and flour, and some garlic salt pepper and whatever else you like. I bake mine on a wire rack 425f for 40 minutes flip and spray with pam if needed and another 15 minutes. Can't beat it. No deep fried mess, easy clean up
Will try this
@aohanele I'm definitely gonna try. I know the family will be amazed and very happy! ❤️ 🙏
This was the method that grillin with ab used both are effective but oven jsant as crispy
I use just baking powder, salt & pepper. Then I bake them in the oven around 425 degrees. Super crispy!
Y'all know that's just self-rising flour and seasonings, right?
I have seen several videos lately on wings -- fried, double fried (Meat Church looked very interesting and sounded really crispy), air fried, and baked -- using flour, cornstarch, baking soda, a combination of corn starch and baking soda, and probably a few other combinations. Great video though as always. Really enjoy watching your channel and learning your recipes and methods.
Damn, we need to get 100 wings now. Do wet batter in all 3 forms, Also test the club soda in wet batter. Also go to Whole Foods and get the Hawaiian style batter
1) flour wet batter
2) corn starch wet batter
3) potato starch wet batter
4) club soda wet batter
5) Hawaiian batter
6) pineapple juice batter
Good ideas!!!
I mix my cornstarch & all-purpose together to fry my chicken. Just an FYI.
👌👌
Hey boss 😎 adding a little bit of baking powder to the all purpose flour might win this contest 🔥
I love crispy wings but flavor is more important. I’ll stick with the flour coating. You’re making my mouth water ❤
Agreed! Taste is very important!😊
Thank you to test these for us! They all look delicious! You make cooking look simple. I can tell you love cooking. Thanks for sharing with us!
All of these wings look heckins delish! I’ve used the combo of cornstarch and flour. It tastes much better than just the cornstarch…
Awesome tutorial!!!😊
Showing three examples was great! I am gluten free by allergies so the potato starch and corn starch methods were very helpful! Thank you
Thank you for the tips
You can use any of those methods and add baking powder! BOOM. Lighter with fluffiness added to the crispy. The coating puffs up in the oil. Kind of the difference between regular and extra crispy at KFC. But honestly it’s so good you might not want to soak it in sauce. Dipping is better, but I like crispy better than spicy, so that’s a personal preference. Interesting that the cornstarch was the best though. Imagine cornstarch + baking powder. 😋
I do half AP flour and half cornstarch. Comes out perfect.
Yeah if you mix the potato starch 50/50 with APF you’ll get the same crispiness as PS but you will get the darker color.
I like the look and sound of all of them. You are the man. The sauce looks amazing too.❤❤😮
So....do a third of each drege mixed together
Pop🎉goes the crunch 😂... SLAP THE COUNTER 🖐️
Not a bad idea
@@MrMakeItHappen do wet batters as well. I use your seadoned flour as acwet batter along with a little cornstarch!
Exactly what I was thinking.
Thank you!
Love your channel...it's the bomb
I always combine equal parts flour and cornstarch (with seasonings); makes for a great crispy crust chicken and add water to the flour mix for a wet batter makes for a great fried shrimp too. There's something about the sound of chicken frying.... makes my mouth water with anticipation 🙂.
Can you do an Airfryer version ?
Thank You for sharing . The chicken wings different coating to use . You guys kick back . Enjoy your super bowl day . Beer and chicken wings 😊.
Thank you for the lesson. Food network shows over look the importants of the breading method. You can also use panko bread crumbs.
I'm new to your channel you are Super cool, I laughed so hard off the challenges with your friends. I needed the laugh. Please do more. I literally binged watched your entire collection of videos, so impressive.
I use salt and lemon to soak my chicken.
You'd be surprised how much yuk comes off.
It has your chicken glistening, you wanna take pictures.
I always make a tempura mix with eggs, water and cornstarch, then coat with with, seasoned flour, cornstarch and pankko bread crumbs.
Perfection every time.
That’s true right way I don’t be eating from people..

L👀king G👀d! I will try the corn starch on my wingettes today. TY 👍🏾
I made these wings today using the flour method and they were absolutely delicious! The wings were very crispy and so flavourful. I also made the smashed potatoes and everything was so easy to make. This will be my go to wing recipe from now on.

Dukes Mayo earned you my sub. 👍👍
My favorite mayo too
They all looks good to me. Damn now I'm hungry. 😂😅❤❤😊
Using vinegar or lemon juice is a cleaning remedy to get red of unwanted bacteria 🦠 based on how it’s handled it also helps with a good taste …
The subtle shade is crazy lol
🤣🤣🤣...THANKS for the info GUYS💯ENJOY THE GAME TODAY and GOD BLESS you ALL💞💞💞✌✌✌🙏🙏🙏
Listen, that 2nd batch was way more “Crispy Sounding” that thing sounded like yall were biting into to dry “Fall Leaves”…..😂😂😂
Sweet or Dill pickle juice in the marinade?
I'll have to try with cornstarch. I uzually use all purpose flour and a little bit of baking powder..can you do thiz uzing an air fryer?
I mix corn starch and flour equally watching from SXM
Have you tried rice flour ? I love Korean fried chicken & that crunch is unmatched 😉

Do you recommend using peanut oil vs vegetable oil to deep fry your chicken?
Can we see you make some shrimp Alfredo crab bread pleaseee❤❤❤
I understand thw crispest wing scenerio, but whats the method for the absolute best tasting wing?

What’s the best oil to use. Peanut?
Your other video the all purpose flour with the cornstarch is better and tasted better according to you . somebody also recommended only a dash of baking powder to the flower makes it even crispier, with the 3.
Yeah baking powder adds a nice airiness
I love chicken wings.
No to Miracle Whip at my house too😂
Love all your videos but this one made me drop down and thank you for the tip♥️
I do a half an half with ap flour an corn starch comes out crunchy every time.
Please tell me where you purchased the deep fryer basket and pot used.
Me too please 😊
Nice! Caribbean peeps use vinegar/ lime/lemon to cut the meat smell. Not to kill any bacteria...
Next time try a mix blend of corn starch n flour. That taste the best to me
I have to get used to using cast iron to fry my chicken. I let my grease get to 350, but it seemed the grease was too hot and burning. Any tips community using cast iron. I don't have the grease issues when using a non-stick pan, however
How about mixing flour with cornstarch?
What about corn starch and self rising flour?
Was it buttermilk you added and didn't mention?
Hey i have a request. Can you do a recipe with long rice and show me how to cook long grain rice? Because it never turns out like regular rice even in the rice cooker
Why not use your seasoned flour? I'm using it today
I use 3 cups of flour and 1 cup of corn starch plus the other seasonings for the flour and it hasn’t let me down yet
I’ve been making my own ranch over 20 years. I noticed you cut back on the BM for dressing, on the package it says one cup of mayonnaise and one cup of buttermilk. Does that give it a different flavor by adding only 3/4 of a cup of buttermilk instead of one cup
It’s a little loose and acidic… I prefer it a bit less
Sounds like the corn starch is crispier
I grew up eating the traditional way. Flour, salt & pepper...no brine. I threw down 😁.
What if you used all three together on the wings?
Wait! With the all purpose wings did I see you go for a flat?😮 OK TEAM FLATS I see you!!😊👍🏽
Have you ever tried baking powder?
Cheesesteak poutine!
I’m wondering about adding pickle juice to the brine. Does it leave a pickle aftertaste or does it work more like mustard does as a baste - you really don’t taste it . 😊
Chic fil a does pickle brine
Rice flour!
I always bust out laughing when people think that we mean cleaning or killing bacteria when we say "Clean/Wash Your Meat!" Anyone with sense knows you cannot kill the bacteria in meat by adding lemon/lime, salt, and or vinegar. It just adds additional flavor and helps make the meat juicy and tender and removes any residual gunk from the chicken pieces. especially when they've been processed in a meat plant or butchers shop. Youd be surprised by how much stuff is left floating in the water afterward. You definitely wouldn't want to eat that stuff.JS
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤣 he had me at I've had worse ❤
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you
I am on the store site but I am not seeing the fryer.
Dang ya ran ova thier quick...lol lol
Lmaaaao
Try rice flour. You won't regret it
The potato starch looks like batter fried to me.
Flip them so they cook evenly?
I would be more interested on how to cook unevenly in a deep fryer. That must take some delicate maneuvering.
So why not add corn starch to the flour and get the best of both worlds?
Just one answer do you clean your chicken with at least water?
