In the visa form write the first hotel you will stay at, on japan embassy website you can find itinerary form table that you can use to fill other details.

My visa appointment for Japan is next week and I do have an invitation letter from the organisers of the conference that I am invited to attend. However, I am supposed to apply for the tourist visa. In that scenario, I plan to mention in my cover letter that I plan to book tickets as soon as the visa is granted and provide flight name and number that I'll book. What do you advise? Should I book before hand (no refundable tickets are available) or wait for the visa based on covering letter and supporting documents. FYI: The conference is for the post grad students. I have travelled to australia in June-July and hold australian visitor visa too. Hope you can help!

Nice imformative video can you please also explain conditions regarding business visa to japan. Which documents are req like ITR and bank statement. Is it important to have ITR for business visa. I am a 20 year old who is trying to get to japan to do business and have a registered company in india but haven’t paid ITR yet. And is it also important to have a hold on japanese language to freely communicate or english or translator can also work??? Please
You will need an inviting company in Japan to provide you with a letter.
You will need either 3 years ITR personal and business tax forms, or if the company is less than a year old then company registration details. Along with other requirements i mentioned in this video.
Japanese is necessary for business, especially small business, I recommend using a tourist visa if you want to understand the market by visiting. English in business setting is non-existent. So no you can’t really use that, unless a sponsoring company that is inviting you provides a translator. It varies based on different situations, but this is the general info.

You should apply at least a month in advance. On most occasions it takes 7-10 days for visa stamping, but it has been taking about 3-4 weeks at some consulates in India.
You may or may not tell that, but if you do mention it in the cover letter. And if they’re inviting you, there is a form on Japan embassy visa consular section that they can fill and follow the process. No you will have to apply yourself unless someone from Japan is inviting you. There is a separate process on mofa japan website for that. Schengen has no impact on your japan visa decision
Make sure to explain your purpose of visit in your cover letter and clearly define your relationship with your acquaintance

If you are in India, then you should visit your nearest VFS branch. I don’t think there’s anything more you need to do other than what I’ve told in this video. So you don’t need to pay a travel agent. But if you feel more comfortable with them do that. It’s better to be safe than sorry. All the best, may is a good time to visit, but also might be very crowded and expensive if you go in the first 10 days of may. If you are employed then it is your responsibility to take as many useful documents to prove your liquid finances. So along with your bank statements, you can take your salary slips as well, usually the salary amount is already in the bank statement. If embassy needs to confirm it, then they will call you to ask for additional information. If you own a business, then send your business incorporating document, your business tax for recent year/2 yrs as well. They can give you a longer term visa, it depends on your case, what you write in cover letter and your day by day itinerary. Make sure your travel agency lists details and accommodation details for each 25 days in Japan. Most of the time Japan visa is for 3 months validity with a stay of 15 days allowed. Need to ask you one thing about application procedure. What if one is earning for an year or two, and ITR amount is 0 because of total amount is below threshold. Bank amount may be decent, but what if parents want to sponsor the trip. How to approach the application procedure/cover letter?
Itr to phir bhi lgegi even if amount is 0, and parents ki bhi ITR and bank statement lga dena saath mein. Mention in your application that parents will sponsor and also in your cover letter. That my parents will sponsor the cost for the trip.

If you brokerage cash statement, you can attach that. You will need at least 1-2 lakh in your account because ultimately you need to show liquid funds. You will need 3 months of bank statements and ITR showing your investments/dividends can help!
They don’t care if you increase you balance just for this purpose as long as you have consistent direct deposits in your bank from your job!

Use your parents ITR, if you have enough cash savings, you can try explaining that in your cover letter. You have to convince them you have enough money to go and spend and that you don’t have any illegal track record. Show your bank statements for past 6 months

There’s a sponsor/inviter form on japan embassy website.. if you read up, it’ll give you directions as to what your brother has to do in Tokyo to invite you. That process is slightly different, you will need his support letter saying he will cover your expenses etc. and in place of hotel put his address. Make sure you mention your return date and tickets information since embassy would want to make sure you go only for tourism and come back. So be clear and concise with explaining that. Everything else is same, so check the jpn embassy website for guarantor information.

Atleast 2-3 weeks before, usually processing time is 5 days, mine took 2 weeks to come. So plan in advance, for urgent visa you should directly contact embassy. And in general always apply 3-4 weeks before travel.

Just give a fully refundable hotel booking, and later cancel it after you get your tourist visa. And if your friend is your guarantor or inviting you, then you don’t need hotel booking, you can tell them you will stay at his/her house and provide that address. And just apply for a normal tourist visa with all the documents, and they will give you the visa.
There is a slightly different process for tourist visa if your friend wants to be your guarantor. It is mentioned on embassy/vfs website. Otherwise just don’t mention your friend and do a dummy booking or an actual booking because hotels are cheap in advance.

Idk, around 1.5-2lakh.. but you’ll probably spend around 1 lakh for 2 weeks if you stay at low cost places and eat at Izakayas or 7eleven or smaller street restaurants away from touristy hotspots.
Actually even less than 70000¥ for 15-16 days, and can eat 1-2 good meals a day.

Usually a month in advance, because the visa is issued with 3 months validity so if you apply 3-4 months before, it will expire before you travel. Visa is given from the date it is processed, they will not give you a future date visa.

No you can just apply for short term tourist visa and explain in your cover letter that you are a buddhist monk or student and want to visit different shrines or temples or whatever your reason for visit is, don’t lie in your application. If you are going for religious work, then there’s a different religious visa for priests, monk etc who will lead prayers at temple and the process is different than tourist visa. Your temple/shrine administrator in japan and/or india will need to sponsor your japan religious visa

Checklist is available on mofajapanvisa website. Cover letter is simple, why you want to go, where will you stay, how you will pay for your trip and when will you come back. Respond to these questions in short sentences and you should be good.

If you have visited G7 country in last 3 years, and if you have enough financial capacity, good bank and itr, then you can request for a multiple entry tourist visa for 5 years.
But the process is same, embassy will then decide what visa they want to give you. Most likely, and unfortunately they will give you a 3 month visa with a 15day stay, because it is your first time in Japan.
Also if you’re visiting first time, I won’t recommend going more than 2 weeks on first time, unless you have other motives of finding job or work etc, which is a violation of tourist visa. But apply and see, explain in your cover letter that you need to stay in japan for 3 months and give each days itinerary, yes they will ask you to submit, hotel, each day to day plan of your visit in Japan. @@artyartemis5752 i sent you the link, that’s the only business visa, if not, then only 15 days, and UK, Europe, doesn’t matter, they’re weaker countries than Japan so having those visas won’t do much since it was more than 3 years. They look for most recent history. And it is not easy to get Japan visa so make sure all documents are complete.

You don’t need a ticket anymore, just name the airline, Japan Airlines or ANA. And write your estimated date of departure and date of return. You will need hotel bookings for all those days, that you must print in your file that you take to vfs.

You should directly phone call the consular section of the embassy/consulate you applied to. And talk to someone who is looking at your file. And then understand what they are looking for exactly.

Apply again, and request a multiple entry visa. You will have to explain why you need a multiple entry visa. For example say you want to go see Cherry Blossoms in March, go to Obon festival or for skiing in December .. you need to explain why you will go many times in your cover letter. You can also say you will visit one location per trip.
