    Who would use this GUI? Is it good enough to replace the CLI for at least some config or monitoring tasks??

      The UI is similar to the ISR 4331; it's decent but doesn't give much information for what it is in my opinion.

    Thank You so much for the explanation. I'm using Cisco 3000 family switches still good, but with 9000 family models much difference. Thank you sir from HEART.

    It looks like an improvement considering my old Catalyst items and the amount of Meraki stuff I have. I'll be digging into a 9300 stack setup soon to know more.

    Are there options for setting user permissions/privileges? I would like to create rules for some users to make Vlan mapping changes, create LACP connections and be able to allow some monitoring without systems engineer support.

    • @TheTechCatalyst

      You can certainly still can use the CLI. I want to say yes to AD integration as well but it would likely be through Radius integration which is standard on Cisco networking devices across the board.

    I have mixed environment of 9000 series switches including the 9300 and although I can reach the webgui and login ok I only see dashboard and monitoring menus, even the monitoring is limited to the switch hardware info. Does anyone know how I can get all these other features to configure and manage the switch?

    hi there
    I have a C9200L-48T-4X-E switch,
    when i powered-on the switch, i plugged the console cable and accessed the CLI using "Putty". So, i skipped the initial configuration mode by [No], so i gave the sw a hostname and assigned an IP address to the interface VLAN 1.
    and so, when i am trying to access to the web-interface using the vlan 1 interface it needs a username and password that i haven't.
    i tried "cisco" as a username, and sw SN as a password but i couldn't assess. i also tried the Day 0 username "webui" and password serial number but i couldn't assess too.
    so please help

    • @TheTechCatalyst
      @TheTechCatalyst  5 років тому +1

      You will need to configure the username / password manually. Try:
      username admini privilege 15 secret
      password being your password then.

      The reason for this is probably that the privilege lever for the user account you're using is not high enough. A full admin would be level 15
