I guessed twelfth night lol -- the soaps themselves totally look like they could be themed after Shakespeare plays, if it weren't for the hints at the end.
It has got to be Hans Christian Anderson stories! The first one was probably The Princess And The Pea and this one is What The Moon Saw! The cane represents the moon... I think that the fragrance oils are some kind of “sky/spring breeze” from Nature’s Garden
I agree with the people saying that she does not like spooky things and she doesn’t watch scary movies there’s some movies that we think are just cartoons were scary to her, so it probably isn’t Tim. She likes to get her designs pretty close to her theme So I don’t think it’s van Goghs starry night because there’s a lot of yellow in it and more blues than black. I want to say Disney fantasia like a couple of other people but she just the Disney princesses
Elpida Bika Kind of but she always matches her theme to her soap and starry night has a lot of yellow so I think she would’ve put yellow swirls if she was trying to do starry night
I have been binge watching your videos for weeks, whoamikidding, months! I will always be a fan, Katie. You gave me the courage to make the leap from FIVE years of melt and pour soap making, and selling, to cold process. And now I am so absolutely in love with it. ❤
Okay, this isn’t a popular guess and it’s probably wrong, but…I think the theme could be Disneyland rides. The first one was the teacups, this one is the haunted mansion…
I feel like if this one was haunted mansion there would be some purple for the wall paper or teal for the ghosts. I would love some Disney ride themed soap though!!
The color scheme for the 1st secret soap matches PERFECTLY with the picture of the ride from 1959 I saw on google just now and the top embeds matched with designs on the sides of the cups. And this one , soap #2, reminds me of the full moon shown behind the mansion in one of the photos I just looked up also. I know she googles reference pics for her soaps and they may be the same ones she used for inspo! I think you nailed it! Can't wait to see what #3 is!
Seeing a lot of people saying Tim burton. But Katie frequently says she doesn't do spooky. She doesn't like dark themes much at all. So I'm leaning towards literature based, like fairy tales. Or artwork
That’s fair, but I’m her rapunzel vid she says something about unwholesome Disney movies getting their time under the spotlight in august of twenty twenty so I guess it’s possible
@@georgieleigh7941 lol. Maybe she is trying to throw us off. In all honesty, I hope its Tim burton. That would be so cool. I remember last year so many people wanted hocus pocus and she was like nope. Other channels have done it. Too spooky for me. Lol
Mine was a UA-cam ad because I was able to skip the one right around when she was cutting was her ad because I wasn't able to skip. She only puts one ad in her videos which is why I won't skip the UA-cam ad
I made some guesses on the last one. I'm still getting dark fairy tale vibes like Grimm Fairy Tales or Tim Burton movies. Or dark musicals , plays, ballets (no idea how to call that one theme, lol). Getting Into the Woods vibes from this one. But I also like other people's suggestions that the theme is Nightmare before Christmas and this is Jack's hill or Corpse Bride. And a totally out the box suggestion if Johnny Depp characters in movies. (Soap 1: Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland; Soap 2: Sweeney Todd from Sweeney Todd or Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hollow). So fun to watch this unfold and try to guess.
Guys, remember, she is CONFIDENT we won't guess this one! So don't think of anything too popular, think of hidden gems or something forgotten about in modern day. I'm still sticking with Over the Garden Wall, though, as while it has a cult following, it's not so popular that everyone knows about it...and I in truth have never seen it myself either! But at the very least, the house shown here makes me think of the clips I've seen of the cartoon.
The house do give vibes of the show, but overall everything feels more faerie like than purgatory (as the show is). It actually fells like a dark fearie or something of the sorts
She doesn't like scary things, and overt the garden wall is quite disturbing. She doesn't even like Nightmares Before Christmas and OTGW is a lot worse than that.
@@rayneb2595 The guesses at the end and her 3rd soap actually really match the show, which I finally watched on Hulu. I have a full comment on it on the video for soap #3 but yeah...I'm feeling more confident it could be Over the Garden Wall. She says she doesn't like scary things and that's EXACTLY why it could very well be that. She is absolutely confident we're not going to guess this, which means we need to subvert our normal expectations and think outside the box from the Katie we normally know. This said, I can't piece the imagry for soap 1 and this one is...vague. There's a scene in the show where the siblings are sleeping under the stars and the little brother has a wild dream in the clouds. The night sky of that scene could've inspired this soap, but that feels like I'm reaching. But that third soap...it fits so dang perfectly, it's scary. Plus the guesses of the tea setting, the house, and so far the cat all fit the show very well. That's why I'm not ready to give up on Over the Garden Wall being the theme.
Okay... how about this: Disney's Haunted Mansion. There was a section of the ride that was dedicated to what could be called a "Moonlight Picnic." It wasn't terribly popular, but it is part of the history of the ride...
I said this last time, I still think it’s A series of unfortunate events. This is the house at the end is Count Olaf’s. The first soap reminded me of the colors of the book bindings, not to mention the picture at the end reminds me of the pictures they used in the books themselves to allude to the themes of the book or the next book... etc.
minakorei omg I love a series of unfortunate events, but I'm not sure if it fits with the soaps. Also she doesn't strike me as a person who would read the series
You’re so sweet for giving away all this free information :). Even though I don’t plan on making soap for a good while, I find it so kind you don’t charge for every recipe.
Going off my Harry Potter theory, at first I thought the Shrieking Shack which would explain why you did a full moon soap because Lupin would have to hide in the Shack every full moon when he transformed. But it looks more like the house from the beginning of Goblet of Fire where Wormtail hid with Voldemort before his return, which Wormtail was only able to do because he escaped during the full moon after Lupin transformed hence the full moon soap. So it’s a reach but I’m sticking with Harry Potter.
The colors, the moon and the mansion as a hint in the end just reminds me sooooo much of Coraline! The tea is also part of the movie so my guess is that Coraline is the main theme :)
omg ya now that you say that, it does seem like it, maybe multiple tim burton movies? cause the first mystery soap looked like the colors of sally from nightmare before christmas
@@wolfpacklover4 Coraline is not a Tim Burton movie (they have a very similar style though!!) Katie's first tip was a set of tea and if you search on UA-cam for "Coraline tea" you will see a scene from the movie that have two characters with a similar color palette from the first soap and accessories that reminds a lot the first soap imbeds + Coraline's yellow raincoat complete the first color palette :)
@@wolfpacklover4 nightmare before Christmas isn't Tim burton either. Both movies were produced by Henry Selick which is why they look so similar. Also Katie has said before that she doesn't like spooky and that she'd never make anything inspired by such.
I saw someone guess "Famous Artists" in the last video's comment section they said that one was Frida Kahlo and it does have the colors of her "Tea and Smoke" painting and then the tea set. I am going to say not just famous artists but "Famous Modern Artists" or "Famous Modern Female Artists" . This one could be Louis Dodd, it has the colors of "Moon with Halo and Clouds" and she does have a painting called "Night House With Lit Window" and that is just what it is too.
I remember this book from when I was younger, one that was a children’s version of the Blue Book of Fairy Tales. It had the princess and the pea, among other stories that were more spooky. This just reminds me of that a bit
Is this a soap dedicated to Princess Yue? An Avatar-themed soap series? Even the clues at the end; tea for Uncle Iroh, the creepy house representing Hama/"The Witch" of the Southern Watertribe
It feels like it could be ATLA themed, but maybe thats just me hoping desperately that it is. But the four layers in the first soap looked like they could represent the four nations! And the green soap gumball is the CABBAGES!
I'm getting "Starry Night" vibes from this. I think a Van Gogh theme would be amazing, but given the hint, it appears like it might be Tim Burton like other people have said!
Agatha Christi? I'm getting a lot of "classic mystery novel" vibes. I love how the moon turned out. As for the fragrance oil, I'm guessing Nature's Garden, something like Dark Musk or Lunar Eclipse, maybe.
Oh yes thanks I'm guessing the same! I thought I was the only one thinking this. It was my first thought as soon as I saw the roses and stars... it just fits perfectly🌹
Part of the allure of birds is their shape.. I feel like a soap based on a bird would look too square. If it was based on bird feathers that might look cool though
I enjoy watching your videos because your conversation is very relatable and fun, you and your brother's videos are enjoyable to watch because you are yourselves and have a good sense of humor and creativity. Some other soap UA-camrs are boring to watch because they are too serious.
Yes, and Katie was hinting hard at listening to a new album that just dropped. I think you're the closest in that theory. Anyone know who her favorite band is?

After watching the video, that makes sense... but the little haunted looking house at the end, well, I just don't know. The soaps totally work with that song though for sure.
Alexa Balgenorth I thought of Starry Night too, the painting by Vincent van Gogh. The first one was a self portrait by Frida Kalho. I think theme is famous painters or paintings.

Guesses have changed! Theme: Tim Burton First soap- Alice in Wonderland roses on top and teapot in hint Second soap- Nightmare Before Christmas with the moon and dark colours
I'm also thinking Tim Burton themed yes the first soap reminded me of Alice in Wonderland as well but the second soap is giving me Corpse Bride vibes not Nightmare Before Christmas
AND THE SWORLY SWORLY THING OMG YOUR A GENIUS!!!!!! But U brilliant person kdjdodjdoj, the moon and the dark colors THAT TAKE THE SHAPE OF THE SWORLY THING, I’m just in shock right now, sorry, I got out of control there for a little bit hahahahahh
candysmiles11 the color scheme had given me the cadaver bride as well, but then I saw this comment and remembered when she said that the colors weren’t really showing in all bars but it still worked, so I thought about the swirly pattern and then it connected to the moon and it just all made sense as a nightmare before Xmas themed soap

I’m not sure if she said in the video, but in case she didn’t - the large bucket was black, then she did gray, navy and royal blue in the smaller buckets 😊 And the top was dusted with blue, as well.
I honestly can still tie American McGee's Alice in with this soap as well. That house at the end looks just like the school from the School Daze part of the video game. It took place at night, you can look through the roof and see stars and the moon through the clouds. It's my favorite part of the game to be honest. So I'm going to be a complete weirdo still and stick with that answer lol

This makes me thinks of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is this inspired by that?😮
It's weird that I guessed that as the first soap and it could be this one as well :D
This is what i was thinking as well
I guessed twelfth night lol -- the soaps themselves totally look like they could be themed after Shakespeare plays, if it weren't for the hints at the end.
I guessed that too!
I was thinking either Shakespeare or maybe classic paintings.
I agree with some that this is, Tim Burton’s “Nightmare before Christmas” First one is Sally’s dress and this one is jack’s hill and moon..
And she talked about music at the end! Here I was thinking Beethoven Sonata's, but your guess makes so much more sense.
I have been binge watching your videos for weeks, whoamikidding, months! I will always be a fan, Katie. You gave me the courage to make the leap from FIVE years of melt and pour soap making, and selling, to cold process. And now I am so absolutely in love with it. ❤
I’m getting an “Into the Woods” musical theme
Maybe it's not "Let's get ugly!" Maybe it's "Let's get safe!"
Darkwing Duck's Let's Get Dangerous🤣🤣🤣
The secret soap theme is shakespearean plays. This one is midsummernights dream, the previous one is romeo and juliet
I think you are on to something....
I can see it definitely
I think this is it!
Everything is dragon themed. Even if it's not, it still is.
I definitely still feel like this is ferngully, this soap reminds me of the dream worth keeping scene
But didn’t she said she’s so confident this year that we won’t get it maybe she’s picked spooky because she knew it would throw some people off ?..
@@georgieleigh7941 lol. Maybe she is trying to throw us off. In all honesty, I hope its Tim burton. That would be so cool. I remember last year so many people wanted hocus pocus and she was like nope. Other channels have done it. Too spooky for me. Lol
Katie: and here is the second hint
UA-cam: haha nope here is an ad
Smacked us right in the face with a commercial.
She was the one who put the add there
Everyone else: STOP THE ADDS
Me: INEVER GET ADDS DURING HER VIDEOS WHAT IS GOING OOOON??? I JUST WANT AN ADD :(
I thought the ad was the hint at first and I was sooo confused
Mine was a UA-cam ad because I was able to skip the one right around when she was cutting was her ad because I wasn't able to skip. She only puts one ad in her videos which is why I won't skip the UA-cam ad
The color in the thumbnail is the most magical color I have ever seen!
GIRL. I'M LIVING FOR IT. I know a lot of people love the pastels and such, but dark and sparkly is sooooo my jam. More like this please! 😍 😍
I need "Are you girls ready to ruin your aesthetic?!" as a gif
I need that entire monologue in a gif.
Not gonna lie, watched this part twice lol!
This is feels like a midnight dreams... starry night... evening walk... nighttime dwelling
I’m getting major grimm’s fairy tales vibes but also... Neil gaiman??
I think the soaps are based off of Tim Burton directed films. This soap could be The Corpse Bride because of the moon on the movie cover.
I like her. And her laugh is contagious! I love that she teaches you....This is awesome! She is a real person. I love it!!
I’m loving how everybody has their own interpretation 💜
I’m thinking this is either “fairy tale” or “witch of the woods” themed
That’s what I was thinking! The picture at the end gives me big Baba Yaga vibes
I was thinking similarly, strong cottagecore vibes
Im thinking Fairy Tale as well
I was thinking the same thing.
This soap turned out really pretty, I love how the full moon looks.
I think this is a good guess, however the embed of the moon should have been the iconic first quarter moon
That's why I'm not ready to give up on Over the Garden Wall being the theme.
this soap is so gorgeous. reminds me of starry night.
The scent is from nature's garden and the soap theme is hans christian anderson
Okay... how about this: Disney's Haunted Mansion. There was a section of the ride that was dedicated to what could be called a "Moonlight Picnic." It wasn't terribly popular, but it is part of the history of the ride...
Disney rides passed thru my mind too.
I like this guess.
Ooh yes! We have the teacup ride and haunted mansion so far as the clues
And she has also been talking about missing Disneyland, too. Good guess!
Katie making soap is definitely me baking and is soooooooo relatable
I said this last time, I still think it’s A series of unfortunate events. This is the house at the end is Count Olaf’s. The first soap reminded me of the colors of the book bindings, not to mention the picture at the end reminds me of the pictures they used in the books themselves to allude to the themes of the book or the next book... etc.
minakorei omg I love a series of unfortunate events, but I'm not sure if it fits with the soaps. Also she doesn't strike me as a person who would read the series
Everyone is just focused on the soap and I’m over here like:
oOOooO mUsiC
I need to know what the 'hint music' is. That would be perfect background for working times.
You’re so sweet for giving away all this free information :). Even though I don’t plan on making soap for a good while, I find it so kind you don’t charge for every recipe.
I’m still feeling like it’s a Johnny Depp film theme. This one is screaming Sleepy Hollow at me. Love this soap so much!!!!
I was thinking the same thing. Harry Potter all the way.
Yep. Yep. Yep. Totally agree.
I was thinking Harry potter too on the first one, how did you explain the embeds?
And I don't really see some relevance with the teapot
THETowandAA the answer to that is “I’m working on it”! Lol
Crazy witch Umbridge. She drank tea.
That blue mica makes the top looks velvety and lovely.
@@lamarquita7768 oh! My mistake I thought coraline was Tim Burton. Lol but it does make sence
I wish it was Dr. Who themed, mostly with this soap, but I digress.
I'm sticking with a halloween series. Just giving me tim burton vibes, hocus pocus vibes
I was thinking of Coraline
@@FiddleKat oh coraline, yes
I remember this book from when I was younger, one that was a children’s version of the Blue Book of Fairy Tales. It had the princess and the pea, among other stories that were more spooky. This just reminds me of that a bit
Love how this particular soap turned out.
Is this a soap dedicated to Princess Yue? An Avatar-themed soap series? Even the clues at the end; tea for Uncle Iroh, the creepy house representing Hama/"The Witch" of the Southern Watertribe
This was my guess in the first video and I'm definitely not ruling it out!
I'm getting that vibe as well
It feels like it could be ATLA themed, but maybe thats just me hoping desperately that it is. But the four layers in the first soap looked like they could represent the four nations! And the green soap gumball is the CABBAGES!
I love this guess because I've been binging atla!
It's Agatha Christie, just so you know.
Now that I see this one I think the theme is the book “The Little Prince”. The rose on the first one and the night sky in this one.
Ohhhhh good guess
Thats a great guess I love that book
Oh yes thanks I'm guessing the same! I thought I was the only one thinking this. It was my first thought as soon as I saw the roses and stars... it just fits perfectly🌹
I guessed that too!
I had the same thought! I absolutely love that book!
love your work!!!! why don't you do a series based on birds? like peacock bird of paradise and so on?
Part of the allure of birds is their shape.. I feel like a soap based on a bird would look too square. If it was based on bird feathers that might look cool though
@@AN-ou6qu yes yes! That is exactly what I meant! Sorry if it wasn't that clear 😊
I enjoy watching your videos because your conversation is very relatable and fun, you and your brother's videos are enjoyable to watch because you are yourselves and have a good sense of humor and creativity. Some other soap UA-camrs are boring to watch because they are too serious.
Classical Literature for the theme, I think: I'm getting Midsummer Night's Dream vibes from this one...
Ooh I think you might be right! I’m getting Edgar Allan Poe vibes from this one
I feel like the theme is shakespeare so some reason. Think her first soap was henry v. And this might be midsummer nights dream.
SAME
My exact thought for this one too
I’m thinking you are going for a “Hocus Pocus” theme. I’m getting a Sanderson Sisters vide :)
I am completely shook with the outcome. I would never imagine soap could look like this! Congrats you’re amazing and have a fantastic talent! ❤️
The ideas I read and I liked:
-Disney world rides/attractions. -Hans C. Andersen historíes. -Tim Borton. -Famous painters
Instead of the "let's get ugly" tagline I'm thinking of the little tune that Evan & Katelyn sing "Science adjacent with Evan and Katelyn, yeah!"
Yes
What a collab that would be! I want it!!!!
ooh what about E and K’s resin time thing though
@@aspillust Katie's could be "safety time, safety time!"
Now this celestial soap is my favorite! Totally my aesthetic
“here’s the second hint” *Ad starts* *ad is Dr.Evil yelling HOW ABOUT NO*
My ad was about moon jewelry. I was confused for a half a second
NO!
I read it in his voice! 🤣🤣🤣
Uh uh, no way!
I see that everyones is guessing literature, and films, but what if the theme is based off of a different kind art. Music perhaps?
So maybe Moonlit Sonata for this one?
Oooh yes maybe - that would be new
Yea I was thinking possibly clair de lune but the hints don't make sense with a song really
Yes, and Katie was hinting hard at listening to a new album that just dropped. I think you're the closest in that theory. Anyone know who her favorite band is?
Cant wait to see what theme she went with this year i dont have any theories but i can tell its something i know and love ❤️
I'm sticking with the soap series being a Tim Burton themed the first soap reminded me of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and this second soap reminding me of Corpse Bride which is also a Tim Burton film
I’m still sticking to the bedtime story theme, maybe an enchanted woods. And this soap my guess will be; The Arabian Nights
I will admit, the last secret soap series I was taking notes, listening carefully but I didn't have a clue. This time around I'm taking notes and listening to EVERY WORD, inflection, flash of editing! I'm like, "Is that a clue? Is that a clue? Wait, is that a clue?" This is tons of fun, thank you! (From your royal court gobie1kenobie) think Obie won kenobie and you will say it right.
Me: Write that down! Write that down! It could be a hint!
Tell me your thoughts!
“Are you girls ready to ruin your aesthetic?”
said 2020.
This reminds me of Edgar Allen Poe’s writings for some reason
I thought so too
Maybe
I thought so too
I love your personality beauty and skill. This combo makes you my favorite soap maker. I have watched other channels and they're good but i keep coming back because you're fun and passionate💜
Remindes me of “Starry, Starry Night” even though there isn’t any yellow.
Exactly what i thought..
“No matter which colors control the majority of the bar, the point has been achieved.” -Katie
🧐🧐🧐🧐
"well this was a super fun soap to make EH... "
I love that you offer everything free. I haven’t made soap but I know that if I want to, I can pop over here and you’ll help me.
Im sensing landscapes and nature. The first soap was like mountains and the sky, this one is like the night sky with a moon. I might not figure out the exact theme but i hope somebody reading this does
I’m still sticking with Harry Potter. Soap one was the house colors and this one is based on Lupin.
WHAT'S THE SAME THING I THOUGHT lol I guessed the same on the first one!
Shes said before that she hasn't read Harry Potter, besides anything Harry Potter themed isnt the move right now.
Lupin or ravenclaw colors?
gurllll. you don't need to be a glamour. WE ALL LOVE YOU FOR YOU!!
Guesses have changed!
Theme: Tim Burton
First soap- Alice in Wonderland roses on top and teapot in hint
Second soap- Nightmare Before Christmas with the moon and dark colours
I'm also thinking Tim Burton themed yes the first soap reminded me of Alice in Wonderland as well but the second soap is giving me Corpse Bride vibes not Nightmare Before Christmas
AND THE SWORLY SWORLY THING OMG YOUR A GENIUS!!!!!! I thought the last one was the nightmare boxer Xmas and that the hint was Alice In wonderland but a hint to the theme and not to the soap it self, but the heart makes sense and isn’t there something to do with olives with the little mouse creature?? Sorry, it’s been a while since I saw the movie.
Excited to guess! By the way Katie pls say what type of color you’re using (this blue color or my green colorant is fine) because I’m colorblind and sometimes I just can’t tell if it’s a brown or a purple. Love your channel!
I am also colorblind so a lot of the colors look the same to me.
I’m not sure if she said in the video, but in case she didn’t - the large bucket was black, then she did gray, navy and royal blue in the smaller buckets 😊 And the top was dusted with blue, as well.
Wow that soap looks like a full moon night 🌌 so pretty 😍
I've never been this early! So excited with these colors.
Same 🙃
I honestly can still tie American McGee's Alice in with this soap as well. That house at the end looks just like the school from the School Daze part of the video game. It took place at night, you can look through the roof and see stars and the moon through the clouds. It's my favorite part of the game to be honest. So I'm going to be a complete weirdo still and stick with that answer lol
Ahahhaha yes!! 😂 i wish this were it!!
definitely getting some old story/painting vibes from the collection so far.
I'm getting "goodnight moon" vibes so maybe children's bedtime sorties
Me: doesn't need more soap
Also me: wants this bar so much
I'm getting the Edgar Allen Poe feel from this batch.
I can almost heard the Raven whispering Nevermore...nevermore...
Love your creation by the way, you make everything fun. :)
“Let’s make some soap”
Me - spends 10 minutes cleaning up juice that I spit across the room.
