    These are all of the ones I don’t know
    But thank you, because months ago there was a time where I knew none of them and I was going over the simple words like manje and stuff so thank you
    3:22 ki adrès ou = what’s your address
    3:35 ou vle ale soti avè m = do you want to go out with me
    4:04 kisa ou ble bwè. (Kinda forgot drink, men m ta sonje si te wè li) = what do you want to drink
    4:33 Ou vle chante ( same with chante) =do your want to sing
    5:03 lapriyè ( I have a question here!!, is it both “priyè and lapriyè that mean pray and prayer because how come it changed?) = pray/prayer
    6:13 tanpri rete = please stay
    6:31 mwen ap peye = I will pay/ I’m paying
    6:53 kisa ou ap manje la ( I have another question!!, why is there “la” there, what does that mean. I would’ve put, kisa ou ap manje) 7:23 nvm you answered my question right here, thannnkk youu
    7:10 ( I have a question!!, so “ap” means will and am ? Then pral(e) means going.
    And to say that it’s happening in that moment you put “la”
    7: 23
    This part is interesting then the next part
    7:51 bon vwayaj = have a safe trip/ good trip
    7:57 ( I have a question!!, is it kilè or ki lè? I feel like I’ve seen ki lè more)
    8: 17 kilè ou ap kite = when are you leaving ( I know kite as let, I didn’t know it means leave as well)
    8:45 kilè ou ap vwayaje? = when are you traveling ( I have a question!!, is it vwayaj or vwyaje? What’s the difference? Is vwayaj the noun for trip and vwayaje the verb for traveling?)
    10:37 kiyès sa = who is that ( dang, I forgot how to say who)
    11:50 mwen ap chèche = I’m looking for….
    13:43 mwem vle tande ( I forgot tande = hear)
    13:58 mwem vle manyen ( manyen = touch)
    14:11 anbrase ( hug) Spanish - abrazar(v). A hug - Un brazo
    14:42 kite m prete = let me borrow

      I want to ask anyone are African Americans creoles the same as Haitian and is it ok for creoles from America to wear Haitian bandanas or flag's

    • @selftaughtpolyglot
      @selftaughtpolyglot 3 роки тому +1

      @@charlesjohnson945 As a Haitian and an expert in Haitian Creole Linguistics, I would first one. What is a Creoles or a Creole language?
      A Creole language is language that was when two different languages get together, influence each other and gives birth to a THIRD language totally different from the two previous ones. Besides, the Creole should be the vernacular language of a community otherwise it would be a Pidgin ( with the same functionality of a creole ; it has no linguistic community). Thus, there are many Creoles or Creole languages in the world. Not because they are all called * CREOLE * that they have the same phonological, morphological and syntactic structure.
      For example, Haitian Creole is from the mixture of African Tongues and French. But, Haitian is not broken French neither broken African Dialects. It is a language of its own. In the United States in the State of Louisiana, there is a Creole language there. It's a mixture of French and English.
      The other question is more political.
      You will learn a lot of Haitian Creole in this UA-cam channel and check out my UA-cam channel as well where I teach Haitian Creole and about Haitian Creole language/Linguistics. ( #selftaughtpolyglot )
      Until then!

    Shouldn't "I will pay" also be "Mwen pral peye"?

    • @HaitianCreoleMsCreole
      @HaitianCreoleMsCreole  5 років тому +5

      Mwen pral (mwen pral ale) or mwen Prale translates more to I am going to pay. But since it hasn’t happened It can also mean I will pay. M ap peye does mean I am paying but you can also say m ap peye to say you will pay. So for example, you can say m ap peye if you are paying now but if you can also say m ap peye demen which translates to I will pay tomorrow because it hasn’t happened. Does that make sense?

      Oh no! it's not that hard. Try practicing with your family. It's much easier when you hear it around the house.
